It's too polished, the composition is too nice and the wrinkles and curvature of the skull have too much sensible flourish. To be honest putting glowing eyes on a skull simply isn't scary. Skulls are scary because they make us confront our own mortality. You look at what was once a person walking around absorbed in their life story with their dreams, worries, and ambitions and ultimately what they were reduced to, knowing that this will become of you. Putting life into a death symbol with glowing eyes kinda defeats the point.
