The Arwings and other machines are the real star of the show. I actually kind of like the contrast between the cool high tech machines and the weird looking uncanny animals piloting them.

The big thing is if this is a true remake and includes the hidden on foot vs mode from the N64 game. Will be real interesting seeing these models as fully playable and how they control.

This whole thing feels mystifying. Like cutscenes, bloom, overly detailed character models, marvel movie tier laser explosion sounds, all this works against the original aesthetic if the game. Like removing the compressed audio from the original isn't an improvement, it was supposed to be a chaotic mess while you flew around shooting up alien planets. There was no time to see elaborate cutscenes of the crew and shit, just garbled screams from slippy over comms while he got shot at for the billionth time, all that mattered was you had to save that retard so he could patch up your ships, that was plenty.
