>goes hollow mid fight>suddenly regains higher brain function, stands upright instead of fighting like an animal and starts using more complex techniques and a crossbowWhat did Miyazaki mean by this? I thought hollowing just turned you into a retarded zombie that wants souls
he went super saiyan from consuming all those Dark Souls™
I doubt Miyazaki had much involvement in 3. He was probably too busy working on Sekiro. It would explain a lot of 3's odd gameplay decisions.
You don't degenerate into an animal when you hollow, you just lose your memories and emotions. You're left with your obsessions, instincts, and training drilled into your body, ever hungering for souls to return that what you lost. For Gael this was his experience as a Slave Knight.
>>738376906this was a dlc biss right? i only beat the base game because i didn't like how aggressive it wasds2 being my introduction to the series made it difficult to enjoy every following title
>>738376906Hollows were always smart enough to operate a crossbow. I think if you look at the undead merchant you'll realize hollowing doesn't make you stupid, just a bit insane and hungry for souls. Some hollows are even composed enough to figure out they can trade for souls instead of just killing everything in front of them... like the undead merchant.
