That's kind of it, but it's not that cod players hate the setting, it's that they did multiple futuristic cod games back to back 3 years in a row and they all fuckin sucked, and ghosts also sucked ass so disdain for the 3 that'd come after the ghosts flop was even worse than if they'd just went from BO2 to IW. Now cod players by default will assume any futuristic cod game is gonna be terrible because of that sequence of releases, the early 2010s were grim times for cod.

I think the short is decent but it's far too realism based and is missing the teaser's sterile look completely. Way too much dust, grit and rust in there and for the most part the colors are very "PBR" as in "the art direction is going for neon shading but PBR tones it down just enough to make it dull". I also think the shaky fisheye cam looks exactly like the one they used for Jibaro and it doesn't fit the setting at all.
