Rockstar's masterpiece
why are we getting daily threads of this? did someone make some gay youtube essay about it?
Nope, it's overrated.
>>738380186Indeed.
>>738380186overrated as hell. Please explain what's so good about it. It's just "guy in city drives cars and shoots people" game #23463547458.
>>738380186i agree
>>738380762>Please explain what's so good about atmosphere, attention to detail, characters, darkness, driving
>>738380762>Please explain what's so good about itnot being inferior like V
>>738381551>mid game is better than midder gamedoesn't make it half as good as people pretend it is.>>738381042I'll give you driving. But San Andreas had a lot more atmosphere. NYC is atmosphere-void, I don't know why it's used in media so much.
>>738380186That's Red Dead 1
>>738381827both are great
>>738382003Yeah
i liked it okay, but didn't finish a second playthroughlost and damned was okay, never finished gay tony. couldn't tell you a single song on the radio, but soviet connection is the 2nd best Theme behind Gay Tony's
>>738382129what about the based russian radio station Vladivostok or the great Journey with its electronic ambient music
>>738382151i do listen to vladitechno, but no artists names or song titles come to mind
>>738380186lol no. Strip down the muh atmosphere and GTA IV is a poorly optimized, boring, soulless game with little to no replay value. I never even finished it because it ran like shit on my PC and the missions were boring, I dropped it and never felt like finishing it, I did had tons of fun with the physics but that's about it.The true masterpiece is GTA San Andreas, not just a gaming masterpiece but also a technical one, they managed to pack a seamless, massive open world in a game for console that had just 32mb of RAM. I used to scoff at the lowpoly pedestrians, rabbithole interiors and PNG steering wheels but now I see how genius these little optimizations were.
>>738382480>IV hater is a Slop Andreas thirdie PC poorfag Every single time
>>738382480San Andreas was good but the shooting was terrible in that game, also a lot of filler in the game just to make it more diverse and packed with variety
>>738380453I recently beat gta iv as my first gta, and I was wondering the same thing.I thought it was gta 6 making people think about the series more and driving more online discourse, which I’m sure is part of itBut I was also thinking it was just cuz I played it myself that I’m only now noticing more gta threads when I wouldn’t have cared enough to notice before.I think dead internet theory is real and I’m the only real personI expect /tv/ threads about Dr. Katz to pop up in the near future because it’s been on my yt algorithm a lot lately
>>738381780I fucking hate NYC and everything it represents but it's definitely chock full of atmosphere especially in well crafted media
>>738380186why does /v/dickride this game so hard?
>>738380453To remind people that GTAV is fake and gay and GTA6 will be the worst GTA ever.
>>738380186Saints Row 2 in unironically better. People claim IV is "dark" but SR2 has much darker moments.
>>738384018saints row is shit
they would never get away with this today
Manny best character
>>738388371>you made me look gay BRO
>>738386875>>738388371Wait a minute...
>>738380186>First GTA game with online>Expecting it to be better than the GTA Vice City Online fan mod>It is infinitely worseVideo games went to complete shit during this generation.
>>738390095online is shit anyways
>>738391486it doesnt have to be tho
I'm being completely serious, but if you think about it RDR2 is the narrative goals of GTAIV fully realized, alongside expanding upon what The Lost and The Damned experimented with.
>>738391808it's too long tho, also gameplay is pretty samey
bump
It was good for its time but GTA 6 will be the next evolution
>>738396073>but GTA 6 will be the next evolutionlol
>>738381042>dude the driving is so good and realistic because every car handles like a 1970s land barge!
>>738396693it's really good driving, some of the best I've seen in a videogame
>>738380186>crimeslop>masterpieceTry again.
>>738398015yes it is
>>738380186this game is only fun when you mod cars to instantly accelerate to max speed and watch as the entire game explodes
>>738398102Nothing that seeks to humanize criminals, or make the audience sympathetic to them, can be called a "masterpiece."
>>738398632are you a christiancuck lol?
>>738380186>the least popular GTA that zoomers who didn't play it try to act like was the best
>>738399152No, Christians are all about forgiveness to a fault. They can't even stop Churches from adopting subversive nonsense like the "Sparkle Creed."
>>738399481I'm 35
