I've seen a shit ton of soulless unnecessary remakes but this one might top them all. What is even the point of this? The original Steins Gate hasn't aged one bit. What's the point of a remake existing if it's inferior to the original in every aspect?

Visual Novels are a medium for very low IQ consumers (basically, people too stupid to read a book and visualize (or at least remember) what is described). It is only natural that the fans and publishers would blindly follow the industry trend of remaking popular titles.
