Okay let's ignore the art style for the characters for a while. Is anything else about this game with should take note of of this remaster?Like the actual gameplay graphic updates or the new stuff being added ?
I like mouse controls and online multiplayer. If the campaign stays exactly the same those will probably be my main takeaways from this game. The challenges look fine too but I wonder if they unlock anything worthwhile or if they're just bragging rights.
>>738381540>>738381398 I'm kind of hoping you can get to a hard part in the campaign and some matters speak and save it so you can try to do the thing where you go on can make multiple attempts to achieve the harder route for the campaign I don't think I have a beat the original 64 game but my sister managed to get the true ending multiple times where you face the giant brain and the Ghost of your father helps you. But I never got close to getting to that myself.
>>738381620Can't let you do that, Sarr Fox.
>>738381620There's an easy mode and I doubt playing on it will lock you out of any story path so getting the true ending should be doable even if you're not very good.
>>738381620>But I never got close to getting to that myself. How, I was able to do this as a 9 year old.
We won.We won. A reminder that you are not garbage, an on-foot hater, a fake starfox fan, or whatever these freaks threw at you. You love your IP and want what’s best for everyone. Be proud of that. #ripbozo
>>738381398the focus on a cockpit mode and mouse shooting mean that the core gameplay and balance has already been ruined.honestly the repulsive visuals/characters are enough of a betrayal to show Nintendo sucks now but even when you look past that the voice acting is terrible, the dialogue has been ruined, the gameplay is unfaithful.there is no reason to buy this garbage demake.
>>738381398Man, Zero really looked like an upscaled 3DS game.
>>738381968I'm asking the same thing, I routinely did the hard path when I was 7 years old and I was terrible at video games.
>>738381968I didn't play Star Fox the most especially compared to my one sister but I did manage to go as far as I got to the level where you tried to take down the train I think that's the farthest I got in the original Star Fox game .
>>738381398Why couldn't they have done something unique, like instead remaking the SNES levels with more going on in them, branching paths and connectivity... I'm tired of the 64 levels over and over, but now with more forced waiting around before you can play the stage. I'll just play Starship until this can be emulated
>>738382114Nintendo adults 35 and up are the ones the complaining. As if people 20 and younger don't exist and have never played any Star Fox game. Jesus
>>738381398So with the emphasis on prebrief story and cinematics, are they finally going to explain the tactical advantage to taking out an enemy bioweapon located on the fucking sun?
>>738381981Why are tripfags the biggest bootlickers when it comes to slop media?
>>738382156The original game is still available dumbass
>>738382156Do you honestly think people under 20 will be interested in this though? They could have absolutely made a brand new game that could stand on its own legs without rehashing 64, and as I said - there's other material they could have used. They should have just made a 64 3D HD remaster, then launched an actually new game
>>738381398I genuinely cannot tell if this is the aborted wiiu game or the switch 2 one
>>738382280It's because they're STAR Fox
>>738381540My cope (which I almost certainly expect to be wrong) is that they said the game was "based on" 64, rather than explicitly calling it a remake. So it's possible they'll add in new content / routes to pad things out a bit. Of course, the question would be whether Nintendo / whoever is making this have any clue how to make good rail shooter levels in current year.
>>738382280>*General Pepper and Fox decide to ignore it because of your reasons*>Slippy: Guys... "out of sight, out of mind" isn't going to work on it for very long...>Peppy: What do you mean, Slip?>Slippy: It's using the star's energy to grow, if it continues to increase in size at this rate... it'll threaten the whole Lylat system before too longif they don't, then they should have hired me. i can conjure up all manner of reasonable explanation for video game/movie nonsense
>>738381540playing 2 player with the split controls piques my interest but that's about it
>>738382156I'm 51 and have no issue with this announcement. I'm hyped to play this reboot.
>>738382372Its not slop. I am a generational poster. Get it right, or pay the price.
>>73838203464 is the second star fox game

>remasterif it's not a modification of the original game, it is not a remaster even if it's almost the same. I feels like FF7 and RE made people forget not all remakes need 10 000 modifications or looking nothing like the original

>>738382829>>738382783anon.
Is it me or do the visual effects in this remake look terrible?the lasers look like shit
>>738382902probably developed as a default settings UE5 product, and then randomly unchecking boxes and lowering sliders until it hits steady 30FPS on switch 2
>>738382783Who is "him"? Goddamn, pronouns, pal!>>738382829I've owned Nintendo consoles for 39 years. I'm good.
>>738382946You don't even know how making a game works yet you say stupid things like that
>>738382156Kids don't care about Star Fox. At most they know some of the characters and songs because of Smash Bros. They'll see Fox here and compare him to his movie counterpart and won't give this a second look (as if they'd give it a look in the first place). Star Fox is a franchise for legacy fans. People who've been fans of Nintendo since at least the N64 (but most likely since SNES) when that was new are the only ones who care about this. You will have people in their late 30s early 40s AT MINIMUM as the core audience for this. If you don't give the "Nintendo Adults" who this game is supposed to cater to what they want, it's going to fail. Starfox 64 AGAIN with shit graphics and horrid character designs isn't going to do it.
reposting this from another thread:You guys don't even truly understand how bad it is.All you guys are seeing is the "more realistic" look of the pilots, but what *I'm* witnessing is the complete butchering of the original's script.Star fox 64 is one of my favorite games of all time because of how smartly designed it is, it feels like everyone takes for granted how snappy the dialogue in the original is. No one in the game drones on about some irrelevant bullshit, they just tell you what you need to know. Brevity is the soul of wit and all that junk. The new dialogue is so fucking atrocious in comparison. In the original, when Slippy's in trouble, he's like.>Ahhh!! Help me!And after you save him, he's like>Thanks Fox! I thought I was a goner...Notice how sincere this thank is, he doesn't sugarcoat how much that shit MEANT to him. If it wasn't for you, he could've fucking DIED. He was fucking scared for his LIFE, and you SAVED it. You made a god damn difference 'cuz you're a FUCKING hero.Compare this to the new one where he's like>Cover me while I fine-tune my sensorsAnd after you save him, he's like>Oh, you got 'em? Thanks, Fox!Like, what the fuck is this shit? There's a complete tonal shift here, and not for the better. It's like those shitty disney live-action remakes that no one fucking likes. None of this shit is as satisfying or to the point compared to the original's.Notice how much LESS terrified Slippy is for his life here, as if it doesn't matter what you do, he's less asking for help and more SUGGESTING it. And what's this shit about sensors? Slippy, you're being SHOT AT. And when you do save him it's like that shit didn't matter, it's less like you saved his life and more like you brought him lunch. You don't feel like a hero, you feel like you're in the middle of your shitty nine to five.It all feels like a sick joke.
>>738383005i would love to hear your explanation as to why lasers and explosions looked flat and dull instead of you shitting on my reflexive assumption
>>738381398Mostly hoping this succeeds so they'll make Starfox (64) 2. But yeah I've already played SF64 over 500 times so I don't feel a need to go through it again but with worse graphics.
>>738381540No one at all is going to play this game online and if you think otherwise you are a colossal retard
>>738383072What about the Japanese script? is it closer to it? there was a lot of changes between both
I wonder how sweaty the online multiplayer will get or if it will just be shit
>>738382991>I've owned Nintendo consoles for 39 years.i don't see what this has to do with your shit taste
>>738383072i also believe they showed way too much additional chatter and that makes me worried that they'll force it throughout the whole game.
>>738382280In terms of power scaling fictional sci fi fighter ships, arwings being able to fly this close to a sun is a crazy feat
>>738383157it's the same shit it's always been except now with netcodeit's going to be pointless with no room for skill expression
>>738381398I have an idea for the game.Give it an option so the game moves at 2 or 3 times the speed for a challenge like how street fighter had turbo mode
>>738383157>die to laggy NSO bullshit twice>give up on multiplayer
>>738381398It's worth noting that this will be the first true 64 remake to the point that you can use the NSO N64 controller and play it like it is 1997. It will have zero distractions (krystal milkies, on foot missions, oversized tank, flying an arwing with a touchpad, annoying af miniROB stage, etc) and give Nintendo some market research/direction on what the next SF title will be a decade from now.I seriously doubt we'll see it, but I do wonder if a new control scheme like "comfortable smart glasses form factor" exists in 2035 that leads to 64 Remake III where it's first person the whole way.
>>738382484>Do you honestly think people under 20 will be interested in this thoughYes?
>>738383072People will call you autistic but you are completely right, from what we've seen the writing is just objectively worse.
>>738383117Your "reflexive assumption" has no basis in reality. Now if you said "rendering technique" then you'd have something
>>738383151Everyone's just talking alot more in the new one, it's not JUST pre-level cutscenes, everyone's just chiming in more.switching scripts might help a little, but you're still getting alot of talking regardless.
>>738383072They want it to be like nu Star Wars. Nintendo is a Jewwywood company now
>>738383072>Slippy, member of Star Fox, you have 1 bogey on your tail>AHHHHH NOOO HELP ME FOXX AHHHyeah that would be much better
>>738383361>. Nintendo is a Jewwywood company nowYou do know Nintendo's a Japanese company and there are even less Jews in Japan than there are Christians?
>>738381398Why do they keep remaking 64 instead of just doing a real sequel that doesn't play differently
>>738382484>>738383052You fucking faggots are trying to act like your generation is the only ones that matters and that they can't possibly reach younger gens. Fucking cringe. Grow up.

>>738383447because Miyamoto is a hack furry whose self-insert is Fox
>>738383496hehe
>>738383447Because this is a dormant IP. The last one was 12 years ago and it bombed. They're trying to gauge the interest with a new polished game with classic gameplay. Pretty easy to comprehend really.
I am OP and I never even knew that they had a 3DS version of this game. What other devices did they have this game on besides Nintendo 64 before?
>>738381398Meanwhile SEGA is releasing Alien Isolation 2.
>>738383432Miyamoto wants to get in good with Hollywood. Between this Star Wars-ification of Star Fox and the Mario and Zelda movies it's obvious. Expect the Zelda remake to have more Hollywood bullshit in.
>>738383476If it looked at all like the one from the Mario Movie, then maybe. This game isn't going to do it.
>>738383603star fox SNESstar fox 64Star fox 3DStar fox Zero (Wii U)technically all reimaginings/remakes aside from the original snes game

>>738383603That's pretty much it.Star fox zero follows the same story as 64 but with way worse mechanics.
>>738383756Those designs are fine. Super Smash Bros and Mario movies don't dictate designs for every IP.
>>738383728What do you mean by Hollywood bullshit? Also having Hollywood movies doesn't make you Jewish or your company Jewish.

This game was good
>>738381398I've got to admit, visually the in-game graphics look good. Character models notwithstanding. The only thing that bugs me is there are parts in the remaster that have this flat mono color look, where the original I remember being very colorful. It's some of the space levels, where the backgrounds should be these surreal multi-colored nebulas, and they're just single-color flat looking backgrounds. Corneria looks pretty good desu.
>>738384175They already said there'd be different pricing tor digital and physical games.
I never got to play the GameCube Dinosaur Planet game Star Fox game . I hope that gets on the download Gamecube thingy.Do you think they do that in relation to this new gameSo much :’
>>738384236i thought so too but replaying it sucked dick because i had buried my memories of the on-foot levels
>Did you notice it? Fox and company look more like animals this time. Use your eyes and see what they look like.Jesus christ Nintendo
>>738382621The only circumstance I could possibly think of is a "New Game+" that takes place years in the future that unlocks after beating the game. The objective is to figure out what actually happened to James McCloud. Like, you go through the same stages (now completely adjusted due to the passage of time, or maybe the old routes are explained away as being too dangerous) with all new voice lines. You gotta get back to Venom and James because you escaped so quickly in 64. This would open the door for new scenarios/routes reusing assets they already made. But lets say they do that. How does Nintendo manage that WITHOUT it feeling like Fan Service? James was left ambiguous in 64 and we were all fine with it. People wouldn't want a Final Fantasy IV-2 moment here.
>>738384236>ass
>>738384236This game should have been remade instead. They could have given it branching paths and polished up the controls for the third person shooter segments. They've nailed third person shooter controls with Splatoon, they could have iterated on that. And being a lesser loved Star Fox game they would have had an excuse to expand on it and change things, where remaking the most beloved game in the series is going to invite all this comparison.
It's like UE5 Remake slop but done by Nintendo, why is everyone praising this shit? They butchered the entire atmosphere of the original. The first stage in the original has opressive clouded skies and you don't see the valley until you're close to it, it's mysterious and evocative, like a dangerous mission in which you don't know what to expect, it communicates that you should be on guard even if it's the first mission. Now, in the remake, the sky is sunny and everything is visible from the get go, very colorful, it communicates to the player 'this is the tutorial, relax and enjoy the slop'.
>CutscenesWhy? The n64 ones were snappy and perfect. I don't want to wait 10 minutes between each level. It's gonna really ruin the pacing.
>No Krystal being the voice of reason and wisdom every stage
Is R.O.B.64 in this game?
>>738384493>Krystal>in 64?
>>738381398star fox zero looked like shit
>>738384236I remember not being able to beat the last level as a kid. It was either the aparoid queen or it was a segment where you had to fly away while something was exploding. I don't remember.
>>738382280They have to show Andross what an insane fool he is by even more foolishly flying to the sun to beat up his stupid experiment.
>>738383529>There's a bioweapon there and it needs to be taken out before it's used. It's on the fucking sunI do not see the tactical advantage of going there
>>738384697that's the point, that's why andross is growing the thing there, that's why no one wants to go near it. Star fox is going in to take it out ANYWAY.
>>738383072Making Slippy think she's about to die from a single fighter at the very beginning of the first level just makes her seem horribly incompetent. I hated Slippy as a kid because of how pathetically useless she was.

>>738384850Slippy is a dude

>>738383871>post a collage that barely mentions gameplay80% of the text can be summarized to one single point>lack of contentWhich is a huge issue with that game, but you don't need to open photoshop to say that. Also the gameplay of Zero is pristine outside of the boring helicopter. They also showed in the direct the remake will have the same controls.
>>738381398Given that Katt is showing up in the middle of one of the stages, there's clearly some modification going on as opposed to a straight port of Star Fox 64. It's hard to tell if that means it's just Star Fox 64 but some dialogue changes, or if this means that it pretends to be SF64 but has entirely new branching areas that weren't present in the original.Technically, nothing in the english Direct said that it was a SF64 remake, but they kept talking about it like a remake (referring to the "original") and I'm not sure what else it would be a remake of.>>738381540Online multiplayer looks like it runs at about 5FPS, if you're one of the people trying to stream the game from another device. Good luck with that.Mouse controls look stupid. It's bad enough that you can't even use it with a controller (it looks like you need two hands for the controller, meaning it's not useable by itself) but I have no clue why Nintendo is suddenly deciding that the "mouse" control scheme is something to push. At least it's optional, meaning that unlike Star Fox Zero you aren't forced to use the retarded controls if you don't want to.
>>738384983no nigga. slippy was always a dude

>>738381540>Bragging rights Who the hell care about this? Do you think you will go to a girl and say "hey, I best all challenges of Starfox on expert. Wanna fuck?"This is the reason why I hate achievements. Challenges are alternative ways of playing a game just for fun, that's it.
>>738384850That's the dynamic Slippy brings to the team though, that's his character. He's a bit of a fuck-up. He's still useful, you still want him around, he still HELPS, he's still a part of star fox. Iunno about you but the more I played 64 the more I came to appreciate the whole team, despite their flaws.
>>738381398The graphics look really nice in the gameplay sections, only the character models suck
>>738383072the new one makes him sound like he's competent and a member of star fox while the old one makes him look like a bitch, which, while I appreciate for being memeworthy, makes you question how he's a member of star fox

I thought this would be the next /v/ multiplayer FOTM like Kirby Air Riders, but we all hate this way too much for it to take off. Multiplayer will be dead thanks to us.
>>738381398>Okay let's ignore the art style for the characters for a whileNO
>>738382280Solar isn't actually a star, despite the name, it's a molten planet, Lylat is the star of that system
This is going to flop horribly and Star Fox will be put back on the shelf indefinitely. RIP Star Fox fans
Funny how only furfaggot and movie game snoys like the new designs
>>738387553Maybe that's for the best seeing as they seem to hate this series/
>>738382017Zero actually looked pretty good. It also had to constantly render two views simultaneously with both at 60fps, so that makes it harder to push the visuals as much as they could have been at the time.
>>738386784>rebootYou said "remake". Reboots are not "remakes", please try and stay consistent.
>>738381981cubies are seething at this
>>738386819Its the same story.
>>738387806I’m a hide starfox fan and ignoring it being another remake the new designs fucking suck so bad
>>738383823We don't have exact sales, bit Zero launched on the Wii U at the end of the console's lifecycle as a budget title. BotW barely managed to cross the million mark if I remember correctly, let alone a title in a far smaller franchise in a much more niche genre on a console with a very small install base and limited active audience. This leaving aside the fact that Zero was far from a simple retread and that the gameplay was an evolution of classic SF on many fronts. There was a lot going against it entirely independent of any aspect of the game itself.
>>738381981I thought Command had online multiplayer.
Why don't they make a game like adventures but better and have a side arcade mode with new missions? Surely it isn't that hard to design new enemies and levels for a rail shooter that lasts about an hour with a couple alt paths.
>>738383826*same start and end of the story*same mechanics with improvements and controls that have a steep learning curve
>>738384115Oh look it's a shit for brains tendie>Games with any online layers on switch>Mario kart>Smash>Splatoon>Warframe >DBZWow that's amazing. Multiplats and old 1st party slop
>>738381981Sockpuppet IP for sockpuppet players, no wonder Nintendo won't shoot ol Yeller.
>>738387457The Lylat System is a binary star system. The voice over in the direct even confirms that by saying Solar is the Lylat System's "second star."
Whatever you do, do not derail the starfox thread with the general scales comic.
>>738388145We're getting that next year. In my eyes, all these new Nintendo games(especially the remakes and that yoshi with the low frame art style) have younger devs at handle, to train them in the Nintendo ways. They even said as much for Bananza.
>>738388317"Okay"
>>738388349I'd rather not get my hopes up over a random retard in the youtube comments
>>738388748I mean, you also have the fact that they specifically highlighted Star Fox adventures in the direct over Zero, Assault, etc, and saying it was part of Star Fox's iconic legacy, despite that being very not true.
>>738388861I don't look at too much starfox discussion but in my experience adventures has been mentioned more often in a positive light than the others.
>>738388861>one must wonder why
>>738383072Nintendo knows that modern audiences (also known as "retards") don't want a 25-minute arcade game based on scoring and replayability. They want epic stories. They want the kind of storytelling you see in movies.Mark my words: the game's gonna have about three times as many cutscenes as actual gameplay, if you don't skip the scenes. The characters will talk all the time, and they'll all be "funny" and ironic, just like in Marvel movies. Nintendo's already shown itself to be a fan of this idea with the flowers in Mario Wonder, where they play the role of the funny "influencer" making comments during gameplay, including hilarious marvel-movies jokes like: "He's not going to do that, is he? He did..."With all that in mind, if it's all easily ignorable, it's not really a problem.Personally, I think storytelling adds value to arcade games, but it's got to be done right, and it's absolutely essential to have an "arcade" mode where the story disappears and you can focus solely on the gameplay.
>>738389018In some respects sure, but not over Assault.
>>738387807No, it isn't.
>>738383072You're so desperate to be outraged.
>>738384850That's Slippy's character, the incompetent, as a pilot, scardy-cat. He's o nthe team for his technical/mechanical skills though ideally he'd be sitting back on the great fox instead of in an arwing.
>>738382621They'd said more than just that it was "based" on Star Fox 64. Take a look at this quote from the Direct script:>What you're seeing is footage of the game in action. While stage layouts have been kept the same, [music] the visuals have received a major upgrade.I don't remember Star Fox 64 well enough to tell from the videos whether it's the same game or a "reinterpretation," but I have a hunch that it's exactly the same thing under the hood. Maybe Nintendo just slapped some new graphics onto the old engine... who knows? There's a small chance this game is, LITERALLY, a heavily modified version of Star Fox 64.
>>738389752>There's a small chance this game is, LITERALLY, a heavily modified version of Star Fox 64.No, there's literally zero chance of that.
>>738389752>I don't remember Star Fox 64 well enough to tell from the videos whether it's the same game or a "reinterpretation,"I do. I have the entire game memorized back to front and I can tell you every single shot of gameplay in the entire direct was 1:1 pulled from SF64 but with upgraded graphics. Not a single enemy or object placement was different, even the red mech enemy from Sector Y that they showed as part of the challenge mode was in the original game in that exact spot with that exact movement and attack pattern.
>>738389804I believe...Nintendo recently discovered that it could inject content into emulated games. It might be emulating the original game during the levels. When autists, speedrunners, and trannies start playing the game with their Shitendo 64 controllers, I predict they’ll start noticing that there are way too many similarities in little detais with the N64 game...
>>738390302>Not a single enemy or object placement was differentI'll wait while you get some compassion screenshots, so you can prove it.
>>738389752They already showed off a new James McCloud prologue. So I think it'll just be a 1:1 remake of 64 with some new levels for story.
>>738390403>I believeSo you have no evidence, it's just a matter of faith. Like a Mormon.
>>738390449That's the kind of thing I would have gladly done in my 20s when I had no job and no life. You'll just have to take my word for it as sometime who's put at least a couple hundred hours of time into SF64 throughout my life. Maybe some other young no-lifer can oblige you, though.
>every shot of their formation in the trailer is clearly missing a 5th member which wasn't present in the previous games>pvp only has 4 characters and 3 mapsI feel like they were going to add a unique twist but scrapped it for what is seemingly low effort pvp and were too lazy to fix the story mode
>>738390616>No evidenceThen I don't believe your baseless claims.Sorry champ.
>>738390729I never said you had to. We're just having a friendly conversation.
>>738381620Schizotext post
>>738390510There're two pieces of evidence. The first is the text in Direct. The script says the levels were "kept," but the graphics were "upgraded." The wording suggests they're based on an existing game. The second piece of evidence is the videos. The movements, speeds, shots, accelerations, enemy patterns, etc., all appear to be identical to those in the original game.
I just want to know if there's new stages. The new James McCloud cutscene feels like a tease for flashback levels where you play as James, but that's probably wishful thinking. Also weird they're putting so much effort into what will effectively be it's own Starfox movie, once you put all of the cutscenes together, when Illumination are probably going to make their own Starfox movie in a few years. Is there some kind of power struggle happening here?
kino shot
>>738390925>Is there some king of power struggle happening here? Not really. But Nintendo is known to be schizo even among the more infamous cases in video game companies. They could be punching the air every time someone talks about how excited they are for those movies.
>>738381398the new online mode was kinda impressive but then it wasn't. it's a tiny little map and only 4v4, no doubt due to shitch limitations
>>738384178this looks like shit so no. the starfox fails to look like starfox but at least it doesn't look ugly by itself.
>>738390965>big and small paw prints on the side of the ship Didn't notice that detail before. I guess it's James and Fox's feet stamped on there? Some cute father-son bonding.
>>738390906>all appear to be identical to those in the original game.Baseless claim. Demonstrate that it's true or admit you can't.
>>738391073All of the Star Fox crew have that. Peppy has a shit ton.
>>738391030>tiny little map and only 4v4The "tiny" map is appropriately sized for 4v4 matches, and since when is 4v4 somehow unacceptable in multiplayer modes anyway?
>>738391075nta but if you've played 64 it's pretty damn obvious. No idea why you're getting so autistic over a game you haven't played.
>>738391116Peppy is a rabbit. Having a ton of child paw prints next to his must be a subtle joke about the nature of rabbits.
The remake at least looks good. But I still wish it was more colourful like Zero or the original Starfox 64.
>>738391162what is this 2002? modern games should give you the optionto play 8v8 or whatever you feel like in large maps
>>738390678like why would they do this?
>>738391226I'm pretty sure those are valor marks showing successful campaigns
>>738391017We know Nintendo have assembled their own animation studio now. Not crazy there could be a faction at Nintendo who are trying to prove to the investors that they can make their own movies in house, while Illumination are seeding the earth, trying to generate hype for further movies under the Nintendo license.Who knows where Miyamoto stands on all of this? The man seems to be going senile.
I look forward to every 64 fag posting screenshots that will be mistaken for that freespace 2 fan mod.
>>738391208He's obviously Indian. They get personally incensed over the slightest disagreement and then they start lashing out like this as some weird coping mechanism to try and save face. Just ignore him.
>>738391293Then why does James have only one?
>>738384891>>738384918Gender is determined by competence. If you are a fuckup: woman.
>>738391338Because he died on Venom
>>738391338New plane. The marks are per aircraft, not per pilot.
>>738391208>Hasn't demonstrated that it's trueThanks for admitting you can't do it.
>>738391324I've seen people shit talk Event Horizon but you can't tell me any character in that game looks worse than these designs.
>>738391383>>738391467what is this weird ass copeAlso, with the way that shot is with the paw prints in view, and James talking about more important things than the mission, it's pretty obvious that it's Fox/family.
>>738381398You can see the jaggies through the video compression
>>738391574That seems kinds baseless
>>738391574James's craft went down in Venom years earlier, and we know he shows up as a ghost in the ending. They're gonna use these paw prints to make it more obvious that this is James craft in the ending.
>>738382372Tripcodes are for the darkest niggers
>>738381981https://www.deviantart.com/wlop/art/Guard-578845362Image without the bootlicking
>>738391519It's comically absurd that I have to say they did everything better than Nintendo. My expectations will be subverted not if they get C&D'd for it, but if they get C&D'd for it because it's better than anything Nintendo had planned or was planning. No they just roll out of the gate with worse models than actual autists who made autistic starfox models. It's like it's become a tech demo for how hard you can murder your boy.
>>738391887The only thing I take umbrage with is the glazing of NateTheHate. The nigga lost all credibility once April 30th passed.
>>738391770>They're gonna use these paw prints to make it more obvious that this is James craft in the ending.Okay, and how does that disprove it being James and Fox's father/son pawprints? Both these things can be true.
>>738391947Didn't readDon't reply to me filthy tripnigger
it looks like a shitty mod the entire thing looks cheap like something you might see in an arcade in the 90s
>>738388248So people play games online, thanks for conceding
>>738391962How did the dead man's Arwing get back home?
>>738391947the timing was off but he was still right about the game itselfi will never understand why nintendo autists feud with leakers like autists
>>738392185He had Fox BEFORE he left for Venom
the characters are growing on me, in a mawkish Beatrix Potter kind of way.Still kind of wish they would just use the Melee or Starfox Adventures designs as a base though. I don't think Fox ever looked better than that. Fox's design went down hill rapidly when they for some reason decided he needed a super short snout and a massive forehead with that pointy quiff of hair, and this new design is actually an improvement over that bullshit, at the very least.
>>738392013I'm ok. I'm a generational poster.>>738392193The dude gonna get someone fired and blackballed.
>>738392227Okay.So how is Fox flying an Arwing, with his dads pawprint on it, in Cornaria, years later? That Arwing was destroyed.
>>738382280fox just really wanted to go there cause it's just like his favorite game gradius 2
>>738392293I can agree with that, but then you'f have to wage war with every insider on the Internet. It's an inevitability nowadays.
>>738392351Who said that? I didn't. What are we arguing about
>>738392351Fox's Arwing doesn't have that.
>>738392103>>738391894>>738391519Who would win?>A mod built from scraps in a cave on top of an almost 30 year game>A game made by a multi billion dollar corporation: The same one who came up with the game whose creator is still in the backroom chainsmoking
>>738392252I think this is better than the Sonic approach, where you have this cartoon-y grotesque waltzing around a realistic environment with realistic people. Also, "ugly Sonic" didn't work because it did not look like a hedgehog at all. Nu-Fox is not as bad since he at least looks like an actual Fox.Things like Roger Rabbit work because the characters exist in totally different media. Robert Zemeckis should have kept that approach for his future movies, which are pinnacles in the uncanny valley.
>>738392509Mod is trooncoded thoughbeit.
>>738381540The Campaign is already different considering the Fichina/Fortuna mission isn't just a fight against Star Wolf and actually has some preamble to it.
>>738384236Assault had the best music and used real live instruments https://youtu.be/WeUNNT7sqT0?list=PL62RmXgElQ19RiHTinL10juwI3_Sw9jsLhttps://youtu.be/Wfi0dWAsXdE?list=PL62RmXgElQ19RiHTinL10juwI3_Sw9jsLThe trailer for the new one uses fake sound font garbage What happened?
>>738392635You know what? I don't fucking care anymore. That means Bing Bing Wahoo Japs better stop toking the warp pipe.
>>738392709This remake is a cheap cash grab, that's what happened.
>>738392570Like, I get the bit. I get why Fox has that hunch now, because a fox would look like that if it stood upright. But on the other hand, he's supposed to be a cool heroic character, and he looks like a weird freak now. I don't necessarily dislike it (since I like creepy puppet bullshit anyway), but I wonder why they picked this particular direction.
Wait, so this game is just starfox64 but it looks bad?
>>738392709Live instruments are a meme and produce generic, unmemorable music. Midi music is iconic and memorable and leaves a far greater impact than symphonyslop.
>>738392657Fortuna in SF64 ALSO has preamble to it. Star Wolf appears after you shoot down a certain number of enemy ships.
>>738392785This is them avoiding the elephant in the room. They will tell you its to get rid of the furfag audience for reasons that were irrelevant that made 64 great, but it literally does not compute because...they then made the other starfox games.
>>738392970very very true!
>>738392970Are you retarded
>>738390403Simpler explanation: we know Nintendo keeps the source code for all their games archived, so they could've just used that as a base without the need for fancy tech which injects content into emulated games.
>>738393164Maybe, but it's my genuine opinion either way. Symphonic scores all just fade into the background for me and I forget them all instantly. Midi music stands out much more and sticks in my mind and enhances the scene.
>>738393425Yeah you are retarded
>>738392771Someone at Nintendo has a penchant for grotesques. I'd qualify the Bananza transformations as grotesques as well, redeemed by silliness. Ultimately, that grotesque quality makes them stand out and more memorable, which is a result I appreciate when a company aims to be disruptive.I'm a big fan of this design change, so I can't think of any criticisms beyond those that I can understand (designs not fitting the "spirit" of the characters, existing fanbase). I will say that the feet will take some time getting used to, and I will probably laugh very loudly when they start running down a hallway.
The one thing that bothers me more than anything else isn't art direction, or the shitty dialog and voice acting, it's that when you do a barrel roll it disapates the bullets instead of reflecting them. This doesn't affect the gameplay at all but it feels so much lamer.
>>738393692The bombs and charge shots look exponentially worse as well. They dropped the ball in a lot of weird places.
>>738393692what's wrong with the dialogue and voice acting? It's supposed to be campy.
>>738393814It's shit, not campy. The delivery is off and the lines are not snappy enough.
>>738388656Boobies don't work like that unless they're shitty Jewish silicone implants. They squish flat when a woman is on her back.
so if the game is a success and they make a proper new Star Fox game will it be a sequel after the events of Command or a new game set in this new continuity?
>>738393814Everyone sounds bored in it.
>>738393914>The delivery is off and the lines are not snappy enough.I agree, it's very droning and insincere. Like off-brand Guardians of the Galaxy.
>>738387806>trying to turn fans against each other for no reasonzoomers really are the biggest cancer in gayming
>>738384008all thanks to Illumination
>>738390678>>738391262Room for Bill/Kat when they are present?
>James could fly his arwing despite it being fucked up and missing both wings>Pigma couldn't get out a spin and fucking wrecked despite him not taking anything close to a direct hit from the bomb blastIt's the little things. It also explains why Andross didnt just copy the arwing, the one he had was useless.
