It's been a whole year and there's no Switch 2 emulator. What went wrong?
No games worth playing.
>>738396236Good thing they don't have a single good game until now.
>>738396236>What went wrong?No games :(
>>738396236Nintendo has been using a lot of the same programming since the Gamecube, so making an emulator for their consoles involves a lot of work that's already been done. The Switch 2 appears to finally care about security, and it doesn't have a miracle paperclip design flaw enabling whatever programs to be dumped onto it. It also probably helps that there's no Mario, no Zelda and no Pokemon for the Switch 2 so people aren't wanting to play it as much.
>>738396236Sounds like a challenge.
>>738396236This is basically streisanding switch 2 emulation lmao. The real reason switch 2 emulation hasn't progressed is that there are no games. It takes a game worth playing to align an autist task force to taking interest in the job. Bait articles like this might also attract an autist or two. But the switch 2s greatest defense against emulation remains nothing worth emulating.
>switch 2 has no games that emulation may take a decade
>>738396236Is it normal for Nintendo emulators to come after less than a year? God damn...
Awww, the poor widdle pirates.Get a job.
>>738396959isn't switch2 the first nintendo console that hasn't been open season for cfw from day 1?i never understood the hate for nintendo lawyers/legal because for forty years they looked the other way unless you tried to run a business off itbitch gamers got too cocky and got what they deserve i think
>>738398007You’re going to die alone and commenting on /v/ will be your only achievement but yeah man glad you like Nintendo shit
>>738398007Nintendo has always hated piracy. This is just the first time they found a foolproof method against it.
>>738396236Not one good game anyway. If they were all on steam I wouldn't play them.
>Kernel has no exploitable bugs>boot/power-management processor is dual core lockstep protected>platform security controller is dual core lockstep portectedMeaning the usual ways of running unsigned code or dumping the crypto keys are not working. Unless a software bug is found like The Twilight Hack on the Wii or the NINJHAX on the 3DS shits fucked.
Sure it's not more like the Starfield modding scene where no ones motivated to get it going In the first place?
>>738396236Good things there isnt any games
>>738398929>The Twilight Hack on the WiiGood fucking times
The best protection against piracy is to literally have no games worth pirating.
>>738396236because the actual coders distanced themselves from the trannies. look at eden and citron discords, they're just blatantly conditioning kids into being fags and troons.basically both of these fags took the popular yuzu repo and started grooming kids through discord. the power of open source software.
>>738396236Probably not going to buy Wind/Waves if I can't gen Pokemon while the game is relevant. Pity.
LMAO @ all these sourgraping morons saying the Switch 2 has no games. Keep coping retards.
>emulation may take a decadelike literally every other emulator
>>738398142there are no foolproof security measures when it comes to hardware people have physical access toat worst, cracking it will require knowing the key, but once that genie is out it can't be put back in
>>738396330this but more importantly emulation (and most tradtionally hobbyist-driven online works) are now money-driven and nintendo has done their best to cut that offi do get that as systems become more complex you can no longer just hack together an emulator in your free time, though
>>738399962the only game I bothered emulating from the S1 was MK8 but I'm not really in a rush for MKWby the time emulators come around, they'll probably be done with all the DLC and then I can play the full gamenothing else has my interest
>>738399543I went on a Switch emulator Discord because a Switch game I wanted to emulate didn't work very well and I was curious if they were working on it. Every conversation there actually about the emulator was asking if Pokemon Sword will run at 263 FPS on their computer. Apparently, they're working on it. It's like they're specifically trying to reach out to elementary schoolers.
>>738398929And the sad part it's all because shitskins kept bragging about piracy directly to nintendo's face on twitter, without that we may actually have an emulator by now.
>>738396236Oh, thats a shame. I guess I'll just not play their games instead of stealing them. Not going to buy a switch.
Sometimes I think back to how easy piracy was on the DS and it seems like a fever dream that that was ever normal
>>738400335piracy aside i just miss the system software customizationmaking your own themes should be a built-in thing
>>738400335It was even easier during the 3D WiiU era. You could literally download all available games from the official E-Store
