I can take or leave the new designs. For me, it's the mellow voice acting and new "serious" voice direction that makes me not really care for the remake. The 64 lines are iconic because of how punchy and hammed up they are. Both the English and Japanese versions are like that, and the new game seems to use more words to say less with less emotion.

I think they're the best they've been since the SNES puppets, judging by the comparison pictures I've seen posted here. For context, I don't care about this franchise. I haven't played one since the GameCube game. I'm also not a furry. I'm assuming most the complaints stem from Nintendo-brand autism and/or the furry mind virus.
