>>738402003A lot of it seems like they looked at some popular games and tried to do basically the same thing. A lot of the mechanic are a lot like Zelda, from riding a horse to the dungeons that grant a new item used to reach new areas in that dungeon. The combat is very similar to Devil May Cry and the setting involves a lot of the same vaguely Christian angels and demons stuff. It can seem like a mom's vague memories of what her kid was playing years ago, but the important thing is whether it was any fun.

>>738404193The 3rd is generally what they should've been doing all along where you're generally just moving from one fight to another but the map is interconnected enough that it doesn't just seem like walking through a hallway. It's very likely that someone would prefer combat with a big sword or scythe or something over her whip, but the design around the combat was excellent.
