I tried using the dogwhistle in every single room up until the end of the game to see if it ever actually had a second usage.

I didn't find anything, I guess it was really just a random dialogue alteration.
>>
not all dogs can hear it, so maybe the ones in the game can't

You didn't discard the keys, or did you? You need them all alongside the dog whistle to trigger the secret ending.

A bit of a shame I didn't find anything but at least now I know for certain I don't like unsolved mysteries. Unless the mystery is just a good one and you have to do more than just blow it in every room. Like maybe you have to be actively getting bitten by a dog when you blow it but I don't think you can go into the menu when they are biting you.

I did find a weird test signal screen which makes no goddamned sense because games don't have tv signals that can go wrong so a screen like this has to be deliberate for some reason.

Thats just proton's default video when it cant play the ingame video

It's weird that I couldn't find some autist who already did this which was the whole reason I had to do it myself. This is like the most popular game ever. Anyway I don't really have anything to do, maybe I'll just drink alcohol and eat burger king now.

The current oil war means I don't have a job and sit at home and collect unemployment.

Keeping this thread up because people have to know. I played as Jill and used the whistle in every location, but particular locations I thought it might work:

>on the big snake
>places with dogs
>places with dog statues
>when bosses were on screen
>In the piano room because whistles are sort of like pianos
>In the grandfather clock room
>In the final boss area
>in the main hall after you allow a dog to enter using the secret cutscene

There is a reference to a dog kennel if you read that one retard's memo but I never found it. That would have been a good spot but I don't think the dog kennel really exists.

for me its the xtra long chili cheese
>>
>>738411415
There is no such thing in my country. They don't sell hotdogs in any form, let alone with chili on it.
>>
>>738411415
Extremely based
>>738411327
We don't have that here but looks nice
For me, it's the double steakhouse
>>
>>738411509
its not a hot dog
>>
>>738407432
Why would it have another use?
>>
>>738411509
sounds like your country fucking sucks
>>
>>738411327
They unironically have the best fast food breakfast burrito
>>
>>738407432
Did you use it in the bedroom with Jill?
>>
>>738411831
When something has no further use, it has no further use.

When something is "probably not needed" anymore, then it could be needed more. You don't know. They were being ambiguous.

Every single time a Resident Evil game asks you if you want to throw an item away, it means it has no more uses, no exception
Honestly they should throw the item away automatically with a message saying so instead of giving you a completely useless choice
>>
>>738412024
I don't think any fast food chain restaurant sells hot dogs.
>>
>>738412141
gay and wrong
Collecting keys is fun
>>
>>738412253
Yeah, I love having something useless wasting an inventory slot until I visit an item box, especially as Chris with only 6 slots
>>
>>738412556
You sound like you're shit at inventory management
>>
>>738412251
Sonic does
>>
>>738412119
Well, the character would have to guess the future if it knew that for certain that you wont need it. They cant see the future, so they guess they probably wont need it anymore.
>>
>>738412802
>>
>>738412609
Even if you route everything perfectly, having useless shit taking up space in your inventory will add mandatory visits to the item box
>>
>>738407432
but why ?
>>
>>738407432
I'm more surprised those dogs made a standing leap to the second floor balcony. They could have grabbed the helicopter skids and brought it down with that kind of vertical.
>>
>>738412923
sounds like you're just dumb.
>>
>>738412802
those don't exist here
>>
>>738412858
They can do it for the keys.

Sounds like you don't know what the fuck you're talking about
There is no better inventory management than in speedrun world records, and they often have a full inventory
Pic related would've had to visit the item box before picking this up if he had useless keys on him
>>
>>738414096
There's a variety of reasons for that, such as keeping a full inventory to prevent certain cutscenes from playing that slow you down. Not everything is about speed, though.
>>
>>738414096
I'm not a speedrunning tranny and I like to look at my key collection in the item box at the end of the game.
>>
>>738412253
defending dumb mechanics makes you a fag anon
>>
>>738412609
Keeping keys you don't need is bad inventory management, literally the worst you can do
>>
>>738414096
normal gameplay doesn't have you avoiding item boxes like the plague though
>>
>>738414946
No you gain huge style points for collecting all the keys and putting them in order in the item box. Master inventory management.
>>
>>738414096
>he doesn't know about the concept of not picking items up

>2 slots for gun/ammo
>1 slot for heal
>1 slot for key item
Let me guess, you need more...???
>>
>>738407432
But did you use the dog whistle on every camera angle? Especially the ones that appear only once?
Your hunt is not over, OP
>>
>>738412141
I keep all the keys in the item box.
>>
>>738412253
This. I don't know why I'm compelled to do it, but it's fun
Maybe it was RE2R where you need to re-collect some keys to turn the room color blue on the map.
Maybe a non-RE game says the same thing, but betrays you and there's actually a hidden use.
>>
>>738407432
actually if you use it in the bedroom, a dog will barge in and a clip made by ZMSFM will start
