I would say I prefer KCD1 archery over KCD2. It's more fun and you're not really required to use a bow in KCD2. There's not even a single hunting quest.

I liked that you couldn’t even draw certain bows unless you were really strong in kingdom come, and even if your arrow didn’t kill the guy you hit they would often surrender because they have an arrow sticking out of their arm and taking another seems like a bad idea

What was with KCD1 archery? When I shot a bow IRL, I was aiming better in one hour than at the end of the game in KCD1. Yeah whatever, fiber glass modern recurve bow compared to medieval shit, but it's a fucking video game compared to real life. Another one of those situations where it's easier to drive first person IRL than in most games.
