There wasn't actually anything stopping the people at Light's Hope Chapel from telling everyone that the Scarlet Crusade was all manufactured by Dreadlords. But somehow the Scarlet Onslaught still had an army. Which was then immediately wiped out. Also, what was the point of that? The Dreadlords who at that time definitely canonically served the Burning Legion fed a bunch of humans pointlessly to the Scourge who already had a completely unstoppable army. That helped noone and had no reason to happen. The new Lich King wasn't aligned with the Burning Legion. The Dreadlords probably should've been trying to destroy him so that the Scourge would kill everyone and there wouldn't be any coordination against the Burning Legion when they came to destroy Azeroth. THAT would've made some sense.
