This is the best game I'll never replay.

Because it's utter dog shit for like the first 2/3 of the game cause it cockblocks you from literally all your gameplay tools for most of the game. Vesperia is the least replayable JRPG of all time.

There's a couple games like that for me. I really liked Let it Die and Vampire Saviors, have no urge to replay them

I played it Twice and the 2nd time was a full as playthrough.

>played on xbox360 years ago
>like the game and english dub
>definitive edition came out
>decide to play it again
>there are more spoken lines
>new voice actor for yuri and most of side character
>just shoved along old lines spoken by old va
>VA for side characters don't even try to sound like old ones
>audio is fucked up and new dialogues are to quiet
>impossible to understand if near water
How do you fuck up so bad
still great if played with subs and jap audio

A second playthrough can just be hacking all the useful skills and artes in and skipping dialogue as much as possible because you just want to do the main story battles.

Why not?
I often enjoy games more the second time.

My friend has been on a retro console spree and added the 360 to his collection. i bought vesperia for him just so i can actually play it correctly.

only xillia gives you an incentive to replay it because you get to experience the other side of the story.

IIRC in xillia 2 the mc talks instead of being silent in ng+

This used to be my favourite game I couldn't finish because it's just so relentlessly long especially when you have to follow a guide from minute one to get all of the obscure side content, and that side content is genuinely worth getting both narratively and mechanically. It took me four goes to actually finish it and that was with using an NG+ file to give myself some cheats to make the early game less mind numbing. I ended up using Half or even Quarter Damage skills a lot to make up for it.

So I agree, phenomenal game I'll probably never touch again.

Ever stop to consider that's because it just isn't that good of a game? I can go back and play certain other Tales games again because they're actually good.
>>
>>738424060
bro, youre new game +?
it literally lets you get all the stuff from the late game that makes it fun at the start of every re-playthrough
>>
>>738423129
it was cool for the late 2000s, 7/10 at best these days

You ever heard the saying "Worst Zelda is a B"
Well replace "Worst Zelda" with "Best Tales" and thats my thoughts on the series.
>>
>>738432143
I have problems with all of them, so I guess even the best one is a B. A B-grade game that specifically appeals to my interests will be more fun than an A+ game trying to do shit I don't care about, though.

Bamco fucked up horribly in Symphonia too. They at least got all the old voice actors back to dub new lines which I am very grateful for, but they barely tried to sound like their old selves, and the audio quality and volume are absolutely atrocious.
