Has anyone played the Loathing games? Do you think the next game will be modern era or still pre internet like the 60s or 70s?
I played West of Loathing but halfway through I kinda got lost and confused.
Don't care about the standalone games. Release an offline version of KoL with all the limited time events included and minus multiplayer crap already.

Next game will probably be a "remake" of Kingdom of Loathing in the style of West/Shadows, though it'd be so far removed from the original it would basically be a new game.They're supposed to announce something this year, but since they just released Shadows one day with no buildup I wouldn't be surprised if they did it again.

I still have access to my old Kingdom of Loathing account. I've done the campaign a few times and even had a shirt when I was in high school. Never played the other games though.

It wasn't really random just for the sake of it though.It reads as kind of reddit now, but to be fair, most 4chan culture of the time would now as well. Tastes change.

I played the browser game when I was in high school. I had ascended oxygenarian in every class or however it worked, but I think my account got deleted from inactivity at some point because I didn't know you could get the protection from buying a cash shop item from other players with meat.
