I always liked the tycoon games where you basically harvest things until you can automate the process and then watch your money build up while you make the factory bigger. Then a couple of years ago I was thinking about modern mobile slop games that have you idling and making meaningless numbers go up and I realised they are essentially the same thing. But mobile slop doesn't appeal to me at all, even without all the P2W stuff. It was always some scenario like this. Botting, while the admins claimed at the time that it was fine, was never safe, because support is not smart enough to actually check whether you hacked somebody or scammed them and would just terminate you on suspicion. Was a lot of fun though. I made some real money off it but not nearly as much as I would be able to now with these inflated real world prices.
