Yeah, a wire.

I'm well and truly fucked, yes. I have a 17 button mouse and I'm autistic enough to use all of the buttons efficiently. The problem is the build quality fucking SUUUUUCKS SHIT and they keep breaking. I started replacing the failing mouse wheel, yes the entire wheel doesn't work, with one of the side buttons. I love oval-shaped mice like that, so I'm trapped using the shitty Corsair Scimitar because I don't want something that looks like a space-ship. Taking recs.

When are they finally releasing vertical mice with actual good sensors that don't cost an arm and a leg? I eventually caved in and bought pic related because it's either this or splurging $150 for the """""Razer""""" one.

Meant to say 15 years. They are good quality and durable
>>
>>738443679
Probably a 7/10. The plastic feels nice to the touch but is a bit too smooth, I had to buy a couple strips ot grip tape so I can lift it off the desk. Also I had another vertical mouse before that was a bit wider and that I preferred to hold, though it might be just what I was used to, for now the Keychron doesn't feel fantastic to hold, just "good", we'll see if it improves down the line. In any case, that other mouse had horrendous input lag, and this one is much better either wired on with the 2.4 receiver, haven't tried bluetooth either. Another note is that I have hands on the smaller side, at around 19cm long middle finger to wrist and 9cm across the palm.
>>
>>738441704
Do not buy any new Logitech mice products besides the G502 series, they have a defective mouse wheel that they refuse to fix for some reason, it will break in a day.
>>
i own g603 because i like bigger and heavier mice
>>
>>738443679
NTA, but I've had mine for about 6 months and I love it. My first vertical mouse so there was an adjustment period for sure. Battery life is crazy and I've only had to charge it twice so far. The software is a little clunky at times, but once you find all the tuning you need its great.

Forgot to say that I put in aftermarket feet as well. You don't NEED to do this, the factory feet are already pretty good, but since I have a shitton of Tiger Gaming feet I got off Aliexpress a few years ago, I install them on every mice I own, and with these the M5 glides quite a lot smoother than with the factory ones.

For mouse it's actually great, try using one.
Battery life depends on the model and on the polling rate. For me it's 2 weeks of using my PC 10 hours each day. Get cheap chink wireless mouse ~30€ is almost nothing.

Why the fuck would you need wireless?

i have an exact one line this, except it's an EC-2 Clone.
i was surprised how good these things are, was half-expecting the scroll wheel to be shit, but it's actually nice

Sometimes in life you just have to wait for uncs to die with their antiquated opinions as they cannot be fixed.
>>
>>738468893
>So my mouse doesn't die within a year
This has nothing to do with a mouse being wired or wireless.
>more reliable
How does a wire make a mouse more reliable?
>less latency
There's ONE mouse that's the fastest that's wired and that's a $250 Zaukoenigg or whatever they are called. The next 20-30 mice with the lowest latency are all wireless.
>>
>>738469095
You still haven't given me a single reason to pay extra to have a wireless mouse
>b-but I have weak hands so the wire is heavy :(
Not a problem for most people
>>
I wouldn't want to pay extra 20 for a better mouse with my multi thousand eurodollar pc, you are right.
>>
>>738469359
No cable drag and no cable weight. If you play FPS games at any decent level, you'd instantly know how freeing it is to not have a wire, hence why +80% of professional players across all video games have switched to wireless by now.

wireless is cooler
>>
>>738469359
>>738469531
Saying "it's not a problem for most people" is an asinine statement. It's like trying to make an appeal to how most people don't need more than 60hz, don't need more than $10 ear buds, don't need more than a $10 keyboard, etc. etc.

>>738469685
Anon you need to try harder to shill me into buying your overpriced gimmick shit. No, cables don't weight enough or affect the movement of my mouse at all for me to spend extra on your product.
You need to do a better job selling me it.
>>
>>738469359
>single reason to pay extra
imagine being so fucking broke that you get mad over paying $10 more for wireless functionality

>overpriced gimmick shit
You can literally get fucking chinkmice for $50 that use nearly the same innards as high tier mice that you'd pay $100-$150 for from shit like Logitech, Razer, etc.
>cables don't weight enough or affect the movement of my mouse at all for me to spend extra on your product
No one gives a fuck about your personal experience. If you are a shitty player who can't even fathom why you'd use a wireless mouse, then that's completely fine. There's no need for you to buy a wireless mouse in the first place, because you're not even at the skill level where you could benefit from it anyway.
>>
>>738469919
>stop trying to sell me a toilet! i'm perfectly willing to shit in a wooden outhouse for the rest of my life
>>
>>738469942
You still can't give me a single reason to buy a wireless mice over wired other than trying to convince me that I'm a weak limped söyboy like you, so a few extra grams of weight would affect me... which it doesn't.
Try and do a better job selling me your product, the "wires weight too much" shtick doesn't work.
>>
>>738470042
Retard. I'm not trying to sell you one. I literally just told you to NOT buy one, because you are clearly so bad at video games that you wouldn't even benefit from it anyway. Save your money and just get a $10 mouse from Walmart.
>>
>>738470156
Are you a pro gamer?
>>
>>738470213
No, but I have played a couple of FPS games at a top 1% level, including one at a semi-pro level.
>>
>>738470042
>you can't give me reasons because i've deluded myself so hard that i would find excuses to seethe about the invention of a fucking wheel
>>
>>738442062
I have the older version Razer one with swappable side plates ("Naga" maybe) and if they really fixed the connection issues when swapping plates in newer models it would be a really good mouse. Really if you just use the MMO plate and never swapped you'd probably be fine with any of them too.
>>
>>738470352
So why are you talking if you're not even good at video games? You are trying to shill me a mouse, you use when you suck at games?
>>
fact is wireless feels better with no meaningful downsides and if you like wired then ok whatever you do you, you dumb niggers don't realize you're posting in a bait thread whenever anons start talking about latency and shit it's free (You)s every single time
>>
>>738470894
Pathetic bait.
>>
>>738468893
you do realise that you would need a 2500hz monitor for ONE FRAME of click latency between the best wired and wireless mice right? see >>738457321
>>
>>738443769
these kinds of mice were really cheap 10 years ago when people still played MMO's, thats a reseller I think that mouse was like $80 - $100 bucks before
>>
>>738471026
>DUDE you need to use a wireless mouse all the pros and good players are using it!
>n-no I'm not good at videogames w-what does that have to do with anything
>>
>>738443679
Probably the best vertical mouse you can actually buy currently, only thing I'd change is a charging dock or puck of some kind.
>>
>>738471090
See >>738471026
>>
>>738442062
I got the same kind of mouse and many of the buttons are sticky and dont work very well anymore
>>
Why does it make people so angry that some folks are not buying the same overpriced crap they did?
>>
>>738471303
why are you so impoverished that you're screaming about $10 spread across at least two years?
>>
>>738471303
No one is angry at that. You are angry that wireless mice exists and are objectively better but you can't afford them so you sperg out.
>>
>>738471303
It is cope. That is why I stick to using my 1366x768 screen and ps/2 mouse and keyboard that came from an optiplex machine from a business that went under. Got all of that for so, so cheap.
>>
>>738471401
If they are better, why are you shit at games?
>>
>>738446370
even worse
>>
>>738441704
I have this mouse it's fine. Being battery powered sucks but i don't care because every mouse with a cord is designed retardedly to fail. I use corded everything else though mouse is only thing i want wireless this mouse is completely fine and most important above all its cheap so when it inevitably shits out as all products are designed to do, it does not hurt as bad. Been abusing the same one for almost 4 years now
>>
I have an m720 and I love it, other than the low poll rate which I didn't notice until I got a high refresh monitor.
I bought another mouse but I didn't realize how much I would miss the free scroll wheel and sideways scrolling.
>>
>>738471303
what's the refresh rate of your monitor?
>>

So, if I have a 120fps monitor and moving the camera in an FPS game doesn't feel smooth is that a poll rate issue or a DPI issue?
>>
I didn't even think they sell these anymore, but I like it.
>>
>>738472516
it can be the cause but few mice have poll rates below 120hz unless you literally have a shit tier office mouse
i once swapped to 125hz poll rate without knowing and i thought my 500hz oled was fucked so it can have an effect
maybe you just need a more responsive monitor
>>
>>738472669
>maybe you just need a more responsive monitor
I'm not talking about lag. If I use a controller and tilt the stick slowly then the camera moves super smooth like it should. But if I use the mouse it's like the camera only updates at ~60fps instead of the full 120.
