Do you get the Lordvessel if you attack her before talking to her?
>>
>>738464390
Yeah it places itself in your inventory if you toss a firebomb or hurl a spell at her as the door opens.

>>738464390
Yes. Basically all important NPCs drop key items on death to avoid softlocks.
>>
>>738462853
No, because canonically Solaire goes on to light the fire anyway if you fail.
He only gets maggoted in the timeline you do your job.
>>
>>738465680
Not if kill him too.
>>
>>738465680
DS2 and DS3 just happen in time convolutions/stagnations where someone chooses to Link the Fire. We can clearly see things diverging in DS1 where you can talk to Dusk after saving her while also seeing Dusk's remains if she wasn't saved in the same world.
>>
>>738465714
Well no, because that's interupting the story. He is either brainded in Izalith or ready to fight Gwyn and light the fire in the Kiln. Those are the canon endings to his questline
>>
>>738465869
Still killing him.
>>
>>738465784
Thats a closed time loop. The Chosen Undead was always meant to save her and become the famed knight that Artorias deeds were attributed to.
>>
>>738466306
It's not a time loop, Dusk's remains are near where the golden golem was and she's missing her ring because the Hydra ate it. We see the results of what happened if Dusk wasn't saved and the results of what happened from saving Dusk at the same time. The stagnated time has convoluted and splintered.
>>
>>738466403
Shes from the past. She could've easily died in that spot and tossed away a magic ring which someone else picked up or was just conveniently swallowed by the hydra. AOTA takes place thousands of years before the main games events she would logically have to be dead then.
>>
>>738466553
Dusk has no reason to go to that spot again, especially after she was kidnapped at it. The Dusk Crown Ring isn't just some random trinket she'd dispose of. Her remains also clearly aren't in that spot in DS3.

Why not? Oolacile is gone. The effects subsided in the present day but as far as she knows everything she loved besides Elizabeth perished. Its not uncommon for people to revisit places they've been to.
>>
>>738469590
It's a watery basin at the bottom of nowhere, and Kalameet had made it his territory.
>>
>>738469654
I guess Dusk was retarded and got herself killed by him right after you save her from Manus
>>
>>738465971
Still not affecting the story.
>>
>>738460091
Was she that big in reality or was Gwyndolyn doing a thing?
>>
>>738470931
All the real infrastructure is to scale and the whole point of illusions was pretanding everything is normal
>>
>>738470931
If anor londo goes dark and you look at statues of the royal family you'll see Gwyn is taller than her. But a theme of DaS is diminished splendor and power so could it be possible Gwyn was bigger in the past? All we can do is speculate on that end.
>>
>>738470538
lol, as if Dark Soul's story wasn't retarded to begin with
>>
>>738471410
Statues are probably just hierarchical, like Egyptian paintings
>>
>>
>>738465680
>he thinks time is linear
You didn’t play the game.
>>
>>738470141
You can kill Kalameet before saving Dusk, but the area is still close to the Valley of Drakes. DS3 also features Dusk apparently living until she basically crumbled to dust in a cave with Elizabeth, which contrasts her remains in DS1. It's a time splintering thing, thereby allowing player choices in DS1 to not get deemed non-canon by sequels.
>>
>>738465680
Retard. He gets maggoted in Izalith if you don't reach chaos servant +2 and kill the chaos bugs on the shortcut path before they reach the door to the bridge

It has nothing to do with either ending. I sure did use Solarire, though, to make Gwyn's ass beating even worse (he only survived like six hits from my zweihander + 15 anyways)

I like to imagine that he works with you for a time down your dark lord path until the next chosen undead beats both of you anyways

The real Gwynevere was likely much shorter, Gwyndolin was trying to overwhelm people to grovel at the perceived grandeur of the gods instead of them thinking things through. Gwynevere is depicted in statues as taller than Silver Knights but shorter than Gwyn, and even if Gwyn shrank at the Kiln, he probably wasn't some colossus in the cinematic intro. The Giants, such as Gough, were still named Giants by the gods, so the gods were probably shorter than them. Thus, the real Gwynevere was not as big as the fake Gwynevere. Super Ornstein's size is an exception from absorbing Smough's soul, and since Smough doesn't take the bonus damage from Occult weapons that the gods of Anor Londo do, Smough might be a giant of some sort, possibly with mixed Izalith ancestry due to his proportions being closest to those of the boulder and giant club-wielding bruisers in Blighttown. Pic related works for a player in the armor, but just one look at Smough's proportions makes it clear that he can't actually be an upsized human a la Ornstein.

Also, on a related note, the statues of the real Gwynevere depict her as far more modestly dressed than the fake Gwynevere, and with a stern expression. Gwyndolin really made a ho version of his sister. The painting was probably made by a Darkmoon or a rare, atypical thing Gwyndolin used as his only model.

I don't care if she's not real, that warm music and comforting presence was a moment of solace after finishing that nightmare hell fight that was Ornstein and Smough

Hmm I kinda like the idea of Kalameet being this top-dog alpha surveying his territory above the other lesser drakes.

Filianore is significantly bigger than Gwyndolin too and she's not exactly in peak performance like Gwynevere would be. Gwyn and "Faraam" were hollows when you fought them and deep into the age where the source of their divine strength was fading.
Giant as a race might just be the god race with nothing extra going for them other than size.

Smought was a canibal cultist and would have turned into the same monster as Aldrich if he kept going

Refusing to kindle the flame is the correct thing to do and only people who dont know the lore claim otherwise.
>>
>>738485545
Yes, and in Dark Souls 3, usurping the flame and breeding Yuria is the correct choice and only people who dont know the lore and have bad tastes claim otherwise.
>>
>>738486734
Dark Souls 3 as a whole is a bad choice from the lore perspective

nope, nowhere does it say that
solair gets infected and becomes the giant electric worm in ds3 lost izalith

In Dark Souls 2 it says your choice in 1 is pointless because someone else will do it if you don't. And Solair is the only NPC who makes it to the final area

No actually, nothing about DS2 points to which ending happened.
If anything fact that we go to Izalith and Solari-wurm isn't around points to dark ending if you realy want to streach
