Is western software and engineering worth the premium?

You can just buy a Keychron HE (full size or otherwise) for around $140 if you really want magnetic switches. I'm typing on one right now.
>>
he keyboards are obsoleted by tmr now
same latency, same performance but much more power efficient
>>
>>738484318
those are memes the only thing that truly matters though are arrow keys perchance
>>
keyboards are unimportant
given the most bare essential needs are met (like every key being available) it will never be the reason why you win or lose at anything

Putting a flag on your keyboard is retarded.
HE is really good though and worth the premium.
>>738484952
I also have a Keychron. It's nice. K6 HE
>>
>>738484143
why do you need a lanyard for your keyboard?
>>
>>738484143
Yes, but not that. Get a Model M.
>>
>>738484143
Yes, used my wooting 2 for about 8 years
Never touching another keyboard company, especially when it's not required to have the configuration program open at all times for the keyboard to even function

/v/ is the worst place to ask this type of a question. You have poorfags, 3rd worlders and kids who can't afford these things and have talked themselves into why they don't want an OLED monitor or any other peripheral that sets you back a bit of money.

Were you born yesterday? Don't you understand how branding and marketing work?
>>
>>738484143
I like my Wooting Two, I'd buy another. Haven't tried any of the competing analog switches but I think that being an innovator in the space warrants the price premium. Then again by /v/ standards I have money to burn.

>>738489823
>topre
What year is this, grandpa?
>>
>>738484143
No thanks I'm good with my 10 years old 15 dollar Logitech keyboard
>>
Have they got any non clicky options? I fucking despise how every keyboard manufacturer thinks loud noises coming from my keyboard is what I'm really looking for.
>>
>>738489823
Correct. Mechs feel like ass (yes, all of them). Topre is just high-quality rubber domes, which makes for the perfect keyboard.
>>
>>738489649
I have never felt the need to do this
>>
>>738490231
>magnets
>clicky
>>
>>738490231
Wooting doesn't do clicky options anymore. The whole gimmick is that the switches are analog, so all of the travel is linear.
>>
>>738490481
Because you don't have the option.
>>
>>738487915
If you weren't poor, you wouldnt even need to ask "is it worth it?".
>>
>>738490624
Rich people aren't rich because they waste money on unresearched products.
If you think you're rich because you throw money away frivolously, you are poor. Maybe not in your wallet, but in your brain.
>>
I hate this meme so much
>>
>>738490514
>>738490587
I'm not talking about actuation point. I'm saying when I was looking into it some time ago Wooting sounded like it had blue switches on it which is what I meant by clicky = loud.
>>
>>738489220
Wow, something gayer than RGB lights inside cases.
>>
Wooting 80HE is pretty good
>>
>>738490934
No HE keyboards are clicky, they are all thocky. But you're probably looking for membrane, which is objectively worse, but quieter.
>>
>>738491120
I have silent red switches on my Ducky and they are very quiet compared to what I saw with Wooting. Are you paid by them to dodge questions? I'm asking a simple question.
>>
>>738491338
Are your silent red switches HE? No?
>>
>>738484143
Your keyboard is missing a bunch of keys
>>
>>738491486
I don't even know what HE stands for. All I'm asking is if there is an option for a quiet keyboard from them, like what you get with silent red switches, for example, on a Ducky keyboard. I don't like noisy keyboards. Are you such a spastic you can't comprehend that?

>>

>>738493189
1337 sp33k was as gay as anything zoomers do, to be honest.
>>
>>738485387
That seems cool.
Can you jusut buy a bunch of switches and chuck them in a keyboard with swappable switches or do the magnets get stuck to the metal in the keyboard
>>
>>738485048
what are the good tmr keyboards?
>>
>>738484143
ZOMG SNOOTING DOOT
>>
>>738493686
The switches are hotswappable in my keyboard but the keyboard only works with HE. The magnets do not get stuck. There's no friction so they're really unlikely to wear out.
>>
>>738493784
Whats HE?
>>
>60% keyboards
mental illness
buy a full size keyboard like a man
>>
>>738487221
man i grew up playin ut99/2k4/hl2/gmod on a glass table, what moron whats a glass mousepad? that shits awful to play on
>>
The Software is really well made. I have a Two HE and am very happy with it.
>>
>>738493848

Hall Effect. Basically analogue switches for keyboards using magnets.

>>
>change keyboard accuation
I hate this because I would never be able to just settle on one setting and I'd be forever tinkering with it
I just use an aula keyboard with gateron smoothies hotswapped in
>>

>>
>>738494112
for me I just make the keys I don't want to accidently press have a way higher actuation, like capslock and windows. The rest are default 2mm because my muscle memory always just bottoms out anyway.
>>
>>738494020
Oh. I should have put two and two together. Of course hall effect switches would need different circuits.
>>
>>738484143
only thing i know about wooting is wirtual used one to "cheat" at trackmania
>>
>>738494094
>when you still believe nobody ever got fired for buying IBM is a life mantra
>>
>>738492534
Actual rich have a name for it even, "Nigger rich." There's also the ancient as fuck idiom "A fool and his money are soon parted". One of the ways rich and wealthy people retain money is not spending money just to show that they have money.
