I have a soft spot for Archie Sonic because I grew up with it, but I today still today view it as a mostly good product, at least the 150 issues I read.Sega gave a bunch of nerds free rein over a proprietary many of them didn’t care about, and what you got was an insane mishmash of science fiction and fantasy in a Sonic wrapper. One compliment I will give it is that it took itself deadly seriously after the first dozen or so issues. As for the art, it’s very hit-or-miss. Some artists were legit amazing

To the point where Ken Penders invents this entire backstory to Knuckles and essentially believes that he owns Knuckles as a character and freaks out whenever something related to knuckle's backstory is made canon.Like how Knuckle's dad is in the Sonic movie spin off, and Ken Penders believes that he actually invented it when it's just based off of the echidna leader from SA1. Or how there was this whole shit about that Sonic DS RPG because the plot of it was ancient echidna race reappearing.
