Honestly can't tell if you are some GROSSLY out of touch yuppie who thinks jeans are icky, or a foreigner where jeans are legit only worn by farmers because they otherwise can't afford it, or the heat is too much. Jeans are the most normiest of NORMIE normal clothes, jeans and a hoodie is basically a literally anyone clothing combo. Men, women, working class, upper class, unemployed, farmers, artists, it'd be easier to list who explicitly wouldn't wear jeans, ie you.

Yeah actually I'm going with foreigner, since basically anyone from Hollywood has been spotted wearing jeans because jeans are nice.

You can use the trackpad as a mouse like you'd expect, but you can also set a trackpad to strictly move over a particular section of the screen. It has the features to play these kinds of games but you have to be willing to tinker.

that is exactly what I hate about jeans, I cannot fathom why someone would deliberately choose to wear something objectively less comfortable. Before jeans became fashionable, clothing was designed with both comfort and function in mind.
Literally, a buttoned shirt + chinos or slacks are not only easier to put on, but also are a lot more airy and comfortable to wear. If you casually wear jeans you simply got peer pressured into wearing wagie clothing designed for manual labor, no one used to wear these in their free time cause they just suck.

>>
I should point out an interesting thing that people who can tolerate the BRUTAL work of... being outside:
>"rougher" cloth like denim doesn't give purchase for small particles and splinters to easily cling to
>"softer" cloth LOVES to grab onto anything and hold onto it
I can brush the wood bits, bark, and dirt off and what is left won't be able to do anything.
If I was retarded enough to wear sweatpants I would have bits of random shit clinging to it and slowly working their way through into the other side against my skin.
Bitch-boy would probably scream in agony if he ever felt the mild itch of a piece of wood sticking through his sweatpants.

I have, multiple times, addressed the obvious fact that jeans are better for any kind of manual labor. Even said that I own a pair of jeans for gardening that I occasionally do. In-fact, I started this conversation by prefacing that they were originally designed for this specific purpose in mind, to endure labor. I then argued I find it strange how they came to be a fashion statement, since the material was not designed for maximum comfort, but for endurance. We are talking past each other simply because you refuse to read what I said.

It's ok to wear light indigo jeans like 1 day a week, with brown leather boots preferably and a white shirt. Every other day should be with solid colored pants (tan, khaki, navy, black) and just pick the color that work with your shirt's color. The problem with jeans is they automatically force a casual look and makes it not versatile, you are almost always forced to ideally look "classic casual", or worse, like you just don't care about how you look. If anyone doesn't have a pair of tan/khaki chinos or slim cargo pants, please just buy a pair and replace jeans with it.

So what was interesting when I was figuring out how to use this thing, when I connected the puck to my Steam Deck, it updated the firmware, then it asked to connect the controller to the puck and it updated its firmware. The puck is the receiver and there was no Bluetooth; I hardly did any research into this thing so forgive my ignorance.
>>
>>738519282
>there was no Bluetooth
The OG didn't support bluetooth either, they added it like a year later so you could pair to things without it's dongle. Kind of strange v2 doesn't support it out of the box though since they advertise it does.

yeah the “AI summary” shit is just autogenerated off whatever metadata/transcript it scraped at the time. it’s not some magic live insight toggle. people see a settings rumor once and repeat it forever.

valve probably buried the option behind a beta flag or it’s just not exposed yet. wouldn’t be the first time steam shipped a half-visible feature and called it a day. give it a couple client updates and it’ll either show up or they’ll pretend it was never meant to be user-facing in the first place.

If you think that thing feels amazing, then it's clearly your first time holding a controller. That thing is nothing but garbage. Just look at the overall design, look at the material it's made of, look at the dpad for Christ sake.

You can get a proper controller, like a PS5 controller for around $20 - $25 cheaper, and it is of way higher quality. It's pure foolishness to buy that turd you're holding.

Hey can anyone with the controller help me figure out if my A-button actuation is fucked or if every controller is like this (I'd fuckin hope not)

I was playing PoE2 and holding A for my rotation and noticed the attacks kept stopping now and again, enough to be annoying, there's a position before the button lifts where it'll stop registering that it's pushed, and I find it's a pressure position I naturally keep returning to before I have to press down harder again so the input continues, basically I can be in a pressed position and still press further to actually retrigger the input, anyone finding this? Basic button presses/strikes are fine, it's just the holding

Could RMA but it's gonna be a pain in the ass

Baldur's Gate 1/2 is okay but I wouldn't play an RTS with the steam controller.
>>
>>738524670
Holding the A button, if I hold it too lightly the input will stop even though the physical button is still pressed, no other controller I've had does this which is leading me to believe it's probably me getting a faulty one with a weird actuation press point

shit, dunno then, yeah, you should just message steam support and have it done fast, maybe they'll get you one before the next batch ships
>>
>>738524396
I just gave it a try and the button does release just before the physical clicking mechanism pops the button back up, which sounds like what you are describing. I didn't have much trouble holding the press but I also didn't try that long and I could see an accidental release happening in a game where I'm constantly holding a button. It could be my imagination, but A also felt slightly more sensitive than X. However, that is probably just because the game I used to test it out was impossible to play with A set as a release press so I was just stuck in one room with nothing to do but think about button pressure.
>>
>>738524015
The stand has the puck integrated to it.

I've finished a good number of crpgs on my Deck, they work very well with trackpads and virtual menus. In BG in particular you can use trackpads for camera and movement, and choose party members with one of the sticks.

Okay, I tried to copy what I think you're doing
I pressed it, then I start releasing pressure, it doesn't release until the actual button uncompresses

but if I wiggle while I start releasing pressure, there is a point where it starts activating again despite the button still being depressed, not sure what you're doing but if it's what I'm doing, I think that's just what it does.
>>
Finally a good controller for those games that mostly work with a regular controller but occasionally need a mouse.
>>
>>738525237
Thanks for the check man, and yeah same sort of results, I changed the attack I was using in PoE2 from A to X, and it was way harder to do, I basically had to try to do it, but it happens naturally with A, no other controller from Series X to PS5 does this, so I don't know if I'm being a sensitive bitch or not, but the fact it happened naturally enough to annoy me within 30 minutes of play probably means somethings up
>>
any UKoids got theres yet?
mines been 'shipped' for a few days now
>>
>>738525783
Yup basically just that, so holding for 4-10 seconds during my PoE2 rotation it was stopping because I guess my thumb lifts light enough to stop the input, this just doesn't feel right as no other controller I own does this, I could RMA just to make absolutely sure I'm not a nutcase but I dunno
