>game looks good
>only $50
>reboots a long dormant series
>pisses off autists

I'm failing to see why i shouldn't preorder this thing.
>>
>2 hour game
>>
I am. What people don't realize is that it's a remake of an n64 game. Yes there have been 2 since but one was handheld and the other was on the wii u and had it's own problems. looking forward to it myself. love the new character styles
>>
>>738499179
Why would you preorder something with no scarcity? Just wait a week or two and you'll be able to get a used physical copy for 10-25% off, since there will surely be a hefty audience of buyer's remorse schmucks who didn't realize how short this game is.
>>
If this is a remake of star fox then you're paying $50 for a 45 minute game.
>but muh routes
lmao fucking tendies man
>>
>>738499425
It's actually been hard to find physical copies of popular games recently. Pragmata and RE9 were sold out here.
>>
Btw game has cutscenes now and both prolouge and post end game content, you're looking at a 50 hours game, without mentioning multiplayer
>>
If the game plays exactly like 64 then the lobby will already have high skill ceiling sweats like me.
>>
>>738499793
And that is unironically a good thing (as an autist tryhard myself)
>>
>>738499179
>Only $50
Are nintentoddlers really this buckbroken?
Short indie tier games like this are 5-20 dollars on pc and easily pirateable, but nintendo fans gladly pay 50 for 2-3 hour remaster of a 30 year old game
>>
>>738499947
>50-60 hours of gameplay
You dont have to sell it to me anon I was already going to pre order
>>
>>738499179
If you havent preordered yet then you're a faggot. Each preorder kills a tranny.
>>
>>738499793
Honestly, the multiplayer is the most exciting thing for me.
>>
>>738499316
>>738499509
Don't you anons know we live in the era of remakes not being true remakes?
Sure, they'll keep like, 3 things from 64, but then add a metric fuckton of fotw shit that nobody asked for, quite possibly open world too
They did it for prime, zelda, mario and dk, I see no reason why Nintendo wouldn't be retarded and lazy enough to try, but they'll keep it a "secret" as a "pleasant surprise"
I'm sure there'll be plenty of "gameplay" to be had. Whether it's good or not depends on how much koolaid you've already drank
That said, I would love to get this simply because I love the fuck out of sf64, but as long as nso is not required for S2, but they dangle the subscription stick in front of you, I'm not getting one
>>
>>738499793
The old sweats get outnumbered by newer players 1 to 10, it's gonna be fine. Even Quake re-releases didn't have this issue for multiplayer.
>>
>>738500076
they seem to have put a lot of effort into it, the gimmick for this SF seems to be re-iterating voice chat with vtuber face tracking.
>>
>>738499723
I doubt the main campaign would be that long, but it will definitely improve and promote replayability, that along the new special objectives and the ability to choose already played maps.
>>
>>738500518
Then dont doubt because that's how long the game will be and even more
>>
>>738500246
You really think kids care about Star Fox like that?
>>
>>738499316
Is it confirmed a full remake as in just the same game with updated graphics and other junk or is the campaign going to be longer?
>>
>>738499179
Ugly. Bad dialogue (writing + voice acting). Cutscenes (with bad dialogue).
>>
>>738500841
lol
>>
>>738499356
There's only been one actual remake of 64 and it was the 3DS one. Zero is a new game with different music, boss, stages, set-pieces, a new vehicle, everything. Stuff that barely effects the game is the premise itself which is James dies and Andross doing the dirty.
>>
>>738500841
It's the same as the 3DS one, it's just a new coat of paint, it's not like Zero. The multiplayer is getting a huge upgrade though.
>>
>>738500841
its the exact same game with cutscenes added to the campaign mode. We know there is nothing new because they literally showed the map screen in the direct.
>>
>>738499179
You shouldn't preorder anything because that's spending money on something and not getting it.
>>
>>738501335
what
>>
>>738501335
Most preorders don't charge you until they ship, dipshit. You'd know this if you weren't indian and actually bought things.
>>
>>738499316
You will easily be able to get 50 hours out of this game. It has three routes, three difficulty settings, and different challenges for each difficulty. Plus online multiplayer.
>>
>>738499179
> only $50
thats why you shouldnt
>>
>>738501774
>most
NTA but the last time I pre-ordered was Ass Creed 3 in 2012 at Gamestop. I was a broke as fuck 18-something so I’d scrape together whatever little cash I could every week just to keep adding to the layaway payment.
>>
>>738501729
You pay money now for a product that might suck later. It’s called opportunity cost, you absolute consumer drone. Even if they don’t charge until ship, you’re still mentally locked in and less likely to back out when reviews drop and it turns out to be a 6/10 nostalgia cash-in.

Nintendo isn’t your friend. You don’t get a medal for funding their quarterly earnings report early. Just wait a week like a functioning adult.
>>
>>738499179
They are rebooting everything and calling it Star Fox because a Star Fox (64)2 and a Star Fox (64)3 are part of the project. Believe in the keikaku.
>>
>>738500240
Prime is a 100% faithful remake, incel
>>
>>738502579
Most preorders do not charge up front. And reviews tend to come out before release to some extent, so you do have time to cancel.

Is it just furfags that are pissed off?
Yeah, Falco looks kinda shit but everything else looks and sounds fine.
I'm an autist who's loved the series since 64, but played the rest too but I'm not a furfag and never wanted to fuck anyone in the series. I'm looking forward to it.

It's a beyond-safe reboot of the series but if it gets non-fans hooked with Star Fox 64's fun design then it's going to pave the way for sequels far more successfully than a new title with less of the risks a new title brings.

I dunno, we're getting there
>>
>>738499179
>they could have given us movie fox
>instead they made the characters photorealistically ugly so they could push a dumb facecam avatar gimmick
>katt looks like a crack whore for fuck's sake
>they also turned down the haminess
I was hoping star fox would thrive. now I'm praying that it won't die (again)
>>
>>738500240
>remakes not being true remakes?
yes, they're called demakes, because they're so fucking bad it looks worse than the original. M&L game remakes are a huge example
>>
>>738499425
It’s already 20% on amazon and Walmart
>>
>>738499179
>In its latest earnings report, Nintendo announced it would increase the price of the Switch 2 by $50. Starting on Sept. 1, the hybrid handheld console will cost $499.99 instead of the current $449.99 in the U.S. Other regions will also see price hikes, too. In Canada, the Switch 2 will increase from $629.99 to $679.99. In Europe, it’ll jump from €469.99 to €499.99.
Shit man, 500 dollars for a piece of shit toaster and another 50 dollars for a 3 hour game? You can run through Star Fox 64 in less than 2 hours, a price like that was was justifiable in 1999 with Star Fox 64, but today this is a 20 dollar game.
>>
>>738499179
>looks like made by AI
>feels as if made by AI

Human hands barely made this.
>>
>>738499179
I don't know man, I don't see it either. There's a very uniform kind of simpleton who gets mad about you enjoying a thing to which they have a principled objection to doing so, and it's always amusing to see them squirm about their sour grapes. It's not an earth-shattering announcement but it looks like a great little game to have. I'm looking forward to the mission mode.

Buy this game or we're never getting the Star Fox Mass Effect game we want.
>>
>>738508867
>What can you tell me about the aparoids?
>>
"What if starfox 64 had more cutscenes" seems like a waste of effort
>>
What studio is actually making this? Its probably not nintendo
>>
>>738509840
It's actually Nintendo themselves making this, I'm just as surprised as you are.
>>
>>738509840
I saw Hal labs copyright at the end, so it might be them.
>>
>>738499179
I'm getting it too, but if you don't understand why people are upset that they're rehashing SF64 AGAIN, you're daft.
>>
>>738499179
>>
looks like a half asses asset flip
>>
>>738499509
>45 minutes
Stop being disingenuous, it'll also have like 3+ hours of cutscenes :(

Dude.
>>
>>738509710
Especially when the cutscenes have worse voice acting and worse writing. Seriously, I feel like this isn't talked about enough
>>
>>738509710
It actually makes sense, Star Fox 64 was cinematic as fuck for its time. Voiced dialog when that was still pretty novel, cutscenes before missions and after most bosses are defeated, and scripted sequences during gameplay.
>>
>>738513062
No it doesn't make sense, you are ruining the pacing of an arcade on rails shooter.
>>
>>738499179
characters look amazing
>>
>>738500841
You get the exact same game shot for shot, 3 difficulties from the outset, more cutscenes between missions, a 4v4 multiplayer with like three maps with different objectives instead of simple dogfights, and a challenge mode with normal and hard that adds different challenges to accomplish in levels but isn't actually remixing them for design and layout.
Keep in mind Star Fox 64 wanted you to play it at least 3 times to see everything, and you still probably won't depending on fucking up missions or which routes criss-cross into others for certain effects like Katt and Bill appearances. People flat value the time on a single run but the game was quite replayable.
>>
>>738504436
>artificially discounted pre-orders for a remake of a remake of a remake of a remake
this shit should be $0 considering it's nothing more than a tech demo for a visual style and nothing more
>>
>>738513102
The cutscenes didn't do it before, and they weren't skippable.
>>
>>738509840
Bandai Namco (Singapore) may have a hand since there was that listing for a 3D action Nintendo game remake from them a couple years ago and Bamco already worked on the series in the past.
>>
>>738499179
Hold out hope for a bundle, if you don't already own the system.

I hate how it looks and sounds with the exception of the music and nebulae.

I hope they fix the gameplay issues with 64, Sector Z better not be a headache to medal.
>>
>>738513221
What cutscenes? The 30 second intros to the levels? Only cutscene is at the end credits.
>>
>>738508867
I'm attracted to female turians.
>>
>>738509979
That was because they had Smash Ultimate in the Direct
>>
>>738513412
>opening narration
>level intros
>level outros/boss deaths
>ending cutscene
That's quite a lot for 1997, and enough to argue that putting cutscenes that flesh the characters out is hardly beyond the pale for 30 years later. What's more, they're probably skippable, so it will probably play faster if you can stop screeching like a retard long enough to press a button.
>>
>>738513625
Or I can just play the original since it's the exact same fucking game
>>
>>738513156
For me to poop on
>>
>>738513678
Can't wait to catch the thread where you complain about it being shit for adding unskippable cutscenes to itself.
