I recently got a gf but I really didn't want to quit vidya. She's okay with me playing as long as I dont blow off time with her to do it. I like to raid in final fantasy 14 so I told her it's more like a bowling team or soccer team and if I quit then I'm letting 7 other people down and it's less about fun and more about the structure and time commitment and the work with the payoff at the end, it's a satisfying feeling and it's not just about goofing off for fun. She seemed receptive to that. Also it took me a while to find this really good raid team so quitting that is like quitting a good job lol.
