Metroid is 40 this year, I wonder what amazing celebrations Nintendo has lined up!

A Super Metroid remake, apparently. For once, the series actually gets something on its anniversary. Whether or not it will be any good is pretty much a coin flip at this point. I expect to see it by the end of June. Personally I fall in the camp of “it doesn’t need a remake” but it’s one of the best games of all time and if they stick the landing it would be some much needed good publicity for this poor fucking franchise.

MP4 proves they are either unwilling or unable to learn from the shooter innovations of the last 20 years, and they don’t remember how to make a proper Metroid level either. If 3D Metroid has a future it’s not as an FPS.Shame. When the Prime games are at their best, they’re one of my favorite experiences in gaming.
prime 4 was such a fucking disappointment
NES remake but it isn’t canonized and casualized like ZM was. No map until you explore it yourself. Farming for health when low. Total freedom to explore and go anywhere(after you get morphball and bombs)Haha yah right

Ripley is named Ripley for a reason. Instead they did some breath of the wild combined with the latest gimmicks from open world gaming™. Very rarely do I feel Nintendo releases something this far below their standards, it's such a shame
