Boss fights in Yawntrail are objectively superior to boss fights in Sleepwalker, so for a casual story player it was probably pretty bad but I was able to get enjoyment out of it like Stormblood. These expansions where the story sucks reminds me that the gameplay can at least be serviceable if they try. When the story is good and they know it those battle designers go on fuckin autopilot.
