Not a fan of the left arm, but I do think it's a better look overall. I hate the idea of the Fusion Sword being a bunch of smaller swords folded into one, but I like the look of it. What I don't like is how everyone else in Advent Children is also wearing some kind of black leather with almost no color present. You can't really rate Cloud in a vacuum when he and Tifa shop at the same store as the shitty villain team.

It's not like one's a spear, one's a quarterstaff, one's an axe, etc. They're all functionally identical. And of course to use them all effectively, Cloud has to bust out flight and telekinesis in defiance of any grounding or explanation. I still like the look of the Fusion Sword itself, but in hindsight it's obvious Nomura had an idea that would eventually become Noctis' Armiger and shoved it in without thinking about it.
