How can you tell when a game is bad or when you're just getting filtered?

I never understood is gif is saying that people who don't jump around are not having fun or if Mario 64 didn't allow you to jump would make the game not fun
>>
>>738558257
you might be retarded, nonny
>>
>>738558094
Right when you can see why something was designed a certain way. The webm is a terrible example because it's just point A to point B with no obstacles.
>>
>>738558426
the obstacle is your skill
>>
>>738558257
it's a webm not a gif, unc
>>
>>738558094
This but for Sonic CD

>the skill of moving to point A to point B when there are no obstacles or timers
nice

But there is a timer

Guy on the right didn't even get to actually try the game.
Man didn't even get to Bob-Omb battlefield, you know, THE FIRST LEVEL.
Likewise, this is just flex, where are the challenges and the obstacles that make you learn and play like left.

Left: soulless zoomer play that is not sincerely emergent but rather learned and mimicked from speedruns. Being the case that zoomers will, for tens of hundreds of hours, study lore and speedrun tech before they even BEGIN to think of actually touching a controllers and playing. So called "players" who are incapable of doing anything without turning their mind to the ghost and drug of being perceived.

Right: Sincere and Soulful, the player is not seeking to Perform or Speedrun. They take and in the environment and learn as they go. They proceed open-heartedly, unburdened by performative delusions of perfection.
There is no audience, there is no speedrun tutorial. There is only a player enjoying the game.

it's a wholesome message about life being what you make of it
your outlook is all that's stopping you from enjoying some things you might otherwise not have enjoyed
>>

no the point is mario's platforming moveset is mostly optional and you can beat 95% of the game with only running and basic jumping, but because the options are there the game rewards you by mastering his moveset

you are either left, you explored the depth of the options the developer gives you to improve your gameplay experience, you may even go for a 120 star run because the game is so fun
or right, where you do the bare minimum to get from the beginning of the game or the ending of wherever the game tells you it ends, you never found the game truly fun and you just only played it because you wanted to play a popular video game
>>

>and mimicked from speedruns.
triple jump and long jumping is in the game's manual, it's not a speedrun tactic what the fuck are you talking about
>>
>>738558094
That faggot Arin Hanson is the right screen
>>
>>738558257
I'm pretty sure it was made as a "response" to that one TotK webm but is either intentionally retarded bait or totally misses the point of that webm in hilarious fashion.

>>
>>738559506
Youre retarded. This was my first game and i played like left in the in the late 90s

Beating Mario 64 without pressing the A Button is very hard but I'd hardly say it "sux."
