When men cry at video games they're not crying at the video game, they're crying about something else that happened to them in the past, but they just sucked it up and didn't cry at it then so the emotion is forever being carried unprocessed. This is why men are so surprised when they cry, their mental story about that moment doesn't make sense. They think "this shouldn't make me cry", because it doesn't, they're crying about something else because they didn't do it when it happened. Women really just cry at video games, movies, stories, literally anything, because for them crying is generally socially beneficial so it happens at a hair trigger. They cry, maybe someone comforts them, they get over it, no burden to carry. Men carry things until they are forced to come out.

If you want something to cry about, here's something that'll get you.

There's more Pajeets on the internet every day. There's even more of them on the mod team now, too. They bitch about how much nobody likes them and report anyone who speaks up about their stinky presence.

How the fuck would I have trauma about space ?
>>
>Just not the crying type
>Can be immersed and moved by vidya, but not cry
>Except for one
>And not even for some emotional reason
>There is something about wolves howling that causes my eyes to well up with tears
>No clue why. Always been this way. Must be majestic af or something.
>Playing some Okami
>"Ammy, give us one of your victory howls!"
>pls no
>OOOOOOOOOOO
>Eyes get all teared up
>Dad leans in the room
>"You winning, so-- hey, is everything alright? What's wrong?"
Fucking fuck. Every time. Even when I'm ready for it. Maybe in a past life my family was eaten by wolves. Or I was raised by wolves. I can't even watch shit on youtube if it has a wolf howling. Ever see the video of the big bushy bearded dude teaching the wolf cub to howl? I can't fucking do it, man.

bro what
>>
>>738571326
if you have lost someone then yeah it is possible for men to cry
>>
if you show your emotions to the world that emotion stops being real and becomes a social performance. if you really feel it, youl'l keep it inside close to your heart rather than making it into a youtube thumbnail or trying to water down and explain how you feel to others. when you try and share a feeling you first run it through a social filter in your head, which ends up warping what you actually felt inside too.

I don't know! I wish I knew what! It drives me up the wall. I'm a damn rock otherwise but I hear a wolf howl and I get all misty eyed. It's like some kind of weird reflex and I have no clue why it happens.

Videogames have never made me cry. Movies...TV shows...books...sure. Anime? I've gotten teary eyed but never cried. But I don't know what it is but I just can't cry about videogames. It just doesn't hit me like that.

Other way around
It's underage thread because anons here are so irony poisoned they shame people for showing emotions because they can't comprehend being moved by a game's story

There's no connection between the subject matters (hence why it feels like it doesn't make sense to cry) and it's not trauma, just normal unprocessed emotion. Every time you felt bad and instead of crying, talking about it with someone etc., you avoided it, you built up a sort of emotional debt. The emotion didn't go anywhere, you're just not paying attention to it. It can be even small things, just built up over time.

Crying is very effective at processing emotions. No matter what it is, you can't cry forever, you'll just run out of the need to cry if you let it happen and you'll reach catharsis. This is what the period of mourning is for when family members die. Men's socializing is heavily based around resisting the urge to cry or talk about feelings because at some point in your childhood, it just stops working for solving issues, nobody cares anymore. This is why the debt builds and makes men that cry at video games, movies etc. even though their hormonal profile makes them way less likely to cry.

What ever happened to manlytears? Do you think he drowned in a pothole or something?
>>
He's crying because he just wasted 100 hours of his life on a shitty pedo-bait JRPG, kek
>>
>>738571326
I think only silent hill 2 made me cry because mary's voice actor cries while reading the letter and it strikes me as extremely realistic and tragic. In real life things like this really play out, minus the magical fog town and monsters of course
>>
>>738571326
Why the fuck are men feeling emotions? Are they retarded?

Twilight Princess ending gave me melancholy for weeks. Replayed it a few years ago and that ending hit me like a truck especially with the music.
