The Puck should've come with a switch on the underside that toggles between Steam Input and Xinput (with Xinput settings being defined by firmware saved on the controller or the puck itself)

Or just use that Glossi or whatever program to emulate it.

Only if some is going to use it like a normal controller for all the normal console games and not utilize things like trackpads, then yes that person overpaid.

if it was sold out in minutes...couldn't Valve have charged even more for it?

How can it be overpriced if its half the price of dualsense but twice the features????
>>
>>738577106
it's only overpriced if you live in a 3rd world. Us living in developed nations have no issue affording it ;)

I swear half of the people that say it's overpriced just want to use it as a regular xbox one controller or whatever... like yeah no shit it will be overpriced if you won't use all the features it offers

Even then, the ability to repair and easily replace things like the battery makes it a good deal for people who constantly complain about cheap shit breaking quickly, and how much better would it be to buy something a bit more expensive that would serve longer (me).

It was never sold out in minutes. It's known as a market stunt, to create an illusion that the product was more popular than it actually is. It's basically just a trick to fool lesser intellectual people into buying garbage.

You're thinking about DualSense Edge. The regular DualSense is about $20 cheaper, and of way higher quality, than the new Steam Controller.

Please can anyone make a vocaroo of the controller button noise? Is it silent? Is it clicky?

A bit sticky https://voca.ro/16EwRYP0YfVl

Mine arrived today, it's lighter than I expected. Lighter than an xbox one controller. The haptic feedback on the touchpads is cool, idk if the original controller had that or not. Paddle buttons are gonna take some getting used to, seems hard to bind controls to them too at least with the games I tried
