Come on, anon.
There has to be a VR game that interests you!

I've got a quest 2 but it's just not comfortable enough for me for sustained gaming sessions. I'd probably spend quite a lot of time playing into the radius otherwise.
You'd think zucc would design a headset that accommodates big noses

You'd be surprised how toned down most of the VR games are, because of quest and standalone headsets.
Most VR games are just mobile games.
>>
>>738583332
I, like an idiot, got the VR stuff for Playstation which was swiftly abandoned by Sony, which put me off the whole thing. Now I'm just waiting until the motivation to try PC VR comes to me

there was that one earth-bending VR game that always looked cool, but i'm not buying a headset for one game
>>
>>738583807

they said and confirmed that it'll be under the index price wise
they confirmed this even after the delays and the price hikes
so it will be under 1000 bucks, or whatever

They said they were AIMING for under index price. Before the ram crisis. It was, before the ram crisis, going to be just under 1000. after ram crisis it will be more: 1200

Power through it.
I know it's not the answer you wanted to hear, but it's kinda like being on a boat. It just take time for your brain to stop freaking out between what your eyes tell you about your position and what your body / internal ear say.
It generally doesn't take that long to get used to, even for people with bad case of it. Main issue is people not really wanting to do some "training" just to enjoy a niche gimmick piece of technology.
>>
>>738588170
"powering through it" is the worst thing you can do, it only re-enforces the VR to sickness pathway
the moment you feel sick, take off the headset, sit down, and rest for 10 minutes and try again, keep doing that and eventually you just wont get sick
>>
>>738588170
>Power through it.

If anything it just shows that playerbase wouldn't stick anyway. When you've got a game that's just trying to be everything at once then eventually people will leave when their niche hits.
Breachers cannibalized all the 5v5 comp autism, Contractors the whacky mods gamers and Forefront is the nail for the push maps enthusiasts.

I haven't finished it yet. I'm in the middle of my second run, but so far for me it's an 8. I'm a bit worried at how replayable it is as a roguelite, but I got it on sale for 10, plus the feedback from shooting enemies and handling the guns is fun enough to make it worth it. Having the guns be majority based off WW2 German weapons was a kino choice as well.

You put your glasses on, you put the headset over the glasses, profit.
Most headset let you tweak the spacing between your face and the lenses, just crank it to maximum and it should be good.
I can wear my glasses just fine in my Quest2, although I generally don't because I only need them for reading anyway so comfort take over.
Afaik there are also headset lenses with built-in correction, although that's a richfag option.

I want to try but I splurged on a 5090 and basically there's too much choice and every single headset seems like it has some retarded drawbacks instead of a good 'all rounder' option. All I want is PCVR with modding singleplayer games like Ace Combat 7 or maybe Cyberpunk 2077 (though I heard that the latter is actually shit, so who knows).

>Pimax (probably my best choice)
Really expensive and supposedly has some software drawbacks.
>Beyond
Some anons said it can burn you or some shit plus 75Hz doesn't seem too impressive. Also using Index hardware/iOS for facescan is retarded.
>Quest 3
Seems outdated as fuck.
>Frame
Probably will buy this honestly but Valve is being gay and not releasing it due to RAM.
>>
>>738597667
all I've heard from pimax is that they promise 5 new headsets a year, deliver 3 half-baked headsets saying they'll fix it after launch and then never do
pimax/beyond is mostly for simtards that want the absolute best experience regardless of the price and the amount of tinker, likely not for you
quest 3 obliterates the market in terms of value proposition but you get zucced
frame is the best option unless they double the first intended price

if you don't care about your personal data and nice software buy quest 3 now, otherwise wait for frame
>>
>>738597914
I've deepthroated Valve already with the Steam Deck so yeah, I'll probably just buy a Frame. Hopefully they'll release an OLED lensed model at some point in the future.
>>
>>738598023
oled still needs some time for widespread vr, yeah
main issue is pancake optics eating literally like 90-99% of the light, so displays need to be insanely bright and micro oled struggles with that

Honestly they need to shift to holographic displays already, much simpler optics and way more possibilities like prescription correction and (monocular) depth.
Drawbacks are just figuring out a compact design and the live computation required for it, but research on that has been out for a few years already

Why would they scratch them if they don't touch? You can adjust how near the lenses are to your eyes. I have used glasses with Quest 3 for 2 years and zero scratches. It's not even the furthest setting that I use.
