It’s kinda of how funny. Everytime I play the online everyone even now selects the course where it doesn’t have the “drive in a straight line” Forza maps. The game doesn’t even feel like Mario Kart. Rather than doing quick turns which was the games whole point and trucks most of the fucking courses is just drive straight and hope you get mushrooms, big mushroom, and bullet bill until you get to the actual map.
I remember when there was the side-by-side comparison video and when it came to neo bowser city vs DK spaceport MK8D ended up looking far far better.

The intermissions are only good for the mode they were designed for. I like Knockout as an alternative game mode, I just wish there was more Rally Cups or a way to do custom ones where you pick the courses and routes.

All Mario games are soulless, from the very beginning. Soulless graphics, soulless music. The gameplay is fine though
