>is best controller in your pathhow do you respond?
i switch to a path where there are better controllers
dpad sucks tr00n ballsxbone controller fixes it
>>738594507Absolutely dogshit D-Pad and pretty horrendous stick drift over time.
>>738594507Not the wireless version. Only the wired.
I prefer DualSense
>>738594757
Asymmetrical stick placement is retarded.
Mine had a defective left stick, it broke a year later. My dualsense been working since 2022, no drift no nothing.
>>738594507best ergonomics, the dpad and bumpers were not the best.I want to go back, bros....
>>738595178would you say it was better than a ps3 controller?
holy shit bro you reminded me my whole childhood with that pic...
>>738595370it looks good doesn't it?
>>738594950>lets you hit dpad with your right thumb without letting go of the left stickI don't see any advantage to symmetrical sticks beyond aesthetic.
>>738594630too clicky
>>738594507>wirelessClose but no cigar, wired only.
>>738595337Yea, really good grip.all ps controllers feel really good on the hands, I personally like the ds4, haven't tried the dualsense and I like them better when I'm playing a dpad focused game.
>>738595439looks like a gummy bear GULP
>>738594507wired one is a goddamn tankotherwise dont like it that much though
at the time yeah.... the series X controller is better in every way, no reason at all to use 360s these days, I really like the newest xbox controllers, still using AA batteries is dumb but just buy rechargeable and you're forever topped up
>>738596380Easily replaceable rechargeable batteries is the best of both worlds, remember when it was that easy to get a new battery for your phone?
>>738596684true but rechargeable AA kinda suck and they die within a year or two and I have to buy new packs, a bit annoyingcontrollers with builtin batteries they last way more i believe
>>738596806I’ve got a DS4 since 2016 and the battery is still all good
>>738594507actual best controller
>>738596932I only play on PC and all I own is 2 xbox controllers, and one hori fighting game controller, of the simple cheap onesI kinda wanna try another controller just for variety, thinking either a 8bitdo ultimate 2c or a gamesir g7, both currently the most shilled 3rd party controllers onlinethat or just a ps5 controller because I've never used one and kinda wanna try, but a lot of its features would be completely wasted on PC
>>738594507My Dualshock 3 is STILL working after more than a decade of heavy use
>>738597017Get a third party, no point in getting PlayStation controller if you play on PC, I think you need a special software for it to work too like ds4windows or something
>>738597112I was thinking it might be good for emulating PS games, for a more "authentic" experience, but its fuckin' expensive though
>>738596932everyone talks about Nintendium, but what the fuck are ps comtrollers made out of?it's been 6 years since I got my ds4 and it still looks very healthy, only controller that I own that's older is my GameCube controller.
how insane is it that these are like 25$ now btw? hall-effect switches, builtin battery, I hear the buttons and everything is solid, absolute insanity controller like this would have cost 100$ in 2016
>>738597315>switcheshall-effect sticks*
>>738597157ah that makes sense, for emulation it would be a good choice. I was thinking of doing the same thing but with gamecube controller, but I will be buying a cheap wired replica thats on usb
>>738597017>but a lot of its features would be completely wasted on PCThe triggers will only work with a limited number of games specially made to support them, but other than that you can make better use of the features on PC than you can on PS5. Steam has all of the same options for Playstation controllers that it does for the Steam controller and you also have other mapping software available if you don't like Steam. Use the trackpad for extra inputs for weapons/items or menu hotkeys. Gyro is also good, but that is on most other third party controllers as well.
>>738595621It has the perfect amount of clickiness. 360 dpad is so gummy I eventually started using the thumbstick for platformers
>>738597315The power of slave labor.
>>738597293Is your share button still working? Mine is hard to press from non-usage. That’s the only issue i’ve got
>>738596980nah you could easily snap it in half with your bare hands
>>738597315"I AM THE SUPPLY CHAIN!" strategy, like enslaving villagers in Minecraft >>738597479Kek>>738597565ye, the most punishment I've ever made it go through is hard mode gow and re4, lots of resting the controller on my lap and smashing circle very fast.https://youtu.be/ovv1Pl87kfg
>>738597919>he treats his controllers like a common whore
>>738597315how insane is it that you don't know how to use $?
>>738598150putting it before the sum feels unnatural to me so I shan't do it, I'm not american but literally always seen the currency symbol after the numbers growing up, never beforei dunno
>>738595439i don't like the middle ring thing but otherwise it kinda mogs everything else
>>738597315I have this one and yeah it's very high quality for how cheap it is, most controllers I've used before this were more expensive and way shittier. Only problem is I hate the nintendo shape, wish they made more ergonomic ones.
>>738597047mine was good until it fell down from my cabinet, now buttons act all crazy
>>738594507beaten only by the wired version
>>738599610my negroe
>>738594507GameSir G7 Pro with picrelated dpad (it comes with 3 different ones you can swap) is easily the best controller I've ever used
>>738600798>gamesaaar
I’m still using my 360 controller i got around 2006, and it works perfectly, how did they manage to create such thing?
>>738594507I had like 8 of these things and I swore they were the most reliable controller, then one got stick drift, and suddenly so did the rest
>>738600798>>738601031I can't read this brand without thinking of indians kek
>>738594507
>>738601140imagine how much more they would sell if they just changed the name
>>738600798I'm thinking between this and 8bitdo but the 8bitdo is like 25$ gamesir g7 pro is 70$, I kinda want the ZZZ edition too which is like 100$, too much for a 3rd party I'd say, I hear the dpad is bad, but that they improved it on the ZZZ edition, now idk if new g7 pros have that "Improved" dpad or not...
>>738597315i seen reviews on this and apparently the ultimate is vastly superior to the 2c. is it highly touted here because of the price? it seems like these will fall into the same drift issues like a console standard controller
>>738596980>disconnects in your path heh, nothin personal, snoy
>>738600798I just ordered a Cyclone 2. Am I going to regret it?
Xbox 360 overall looks sexy as fuck
It would have taken like 3 cents off profit per controller to include gyro, and the near ENTIRE fucking launch line up for the 360 would have played better with it
>>738601552they have hall effect sticks anon, the ultimate is an upgrade but not that much
>>738601552how would it have drift? even the 2c has hall effect sticks, the whole point is never driftngl though, I only use controllers on PC and I've never had stick drift, not to jinx myself though, I use it rarely only on a certain games that's why the ultimate is 2x the cost of the 2c, I dunno how much better it is though
>>738601791The 360 fat was perfect, the slim redesigns were complete downgrades.
>>738594507unironically, the ones with the metal d-pad have some of the best dpads i've ever used
dude what games on PC even support gyro? I don't remember playing any is it a substitute for aim in 3rd person games? to use gyro instead of the right stick?
they've yet to make a more comfortable controller than this
>>738601354>too much for a 3rd party I'd sayIn the past I would have agreed with you because third party was always dogshit, but the G7 Pro is the most premium feeling controller I've ever used. The dpad isn't bad (well, the smooth circular one that comes pre-attached is bad, so switch to the one in the pic I posted) it's just different than people expect. The face buttons and dpad are clicky like a PC mouse, and some people hate that. Personally I love the clicky buttons because they feel extremely precise, I couldn't go back to traditional buttons again after this. Get the G7 Pro I promise you'll be happy with it.
>>738594507The stick quality has really gone to shit in these newer controllers. It's obvious they're using cheaper components.
>>738594507Always kind of wondered if it would be better to have both analog sticks in the upper portion, but I assume they went with that design to balance out games that use button inputs frequently.Otherwise it's a good design that makes use of the neutral position of your thumbs.
>>738601989apparently yesholy shitnow I really wanna try ithas anyone played for example resident evil requiem or something with a controller with gyro on PC? the reason why I don't use controllers on games that require aim is because as a PC player I will NEVER aim with a fuckin analog stickbut this gyro stuff seems like it'd work great
i just wish you could connect them to a PC, i have a bunch laying around that I can't use
>>738601989Through Steam Input you can set gyro to the mouse or the analog stick. It works in all games on and off Steam.
>>738602316what? I thought Xbox 360 ones are literally PC compatibile since day one
>>738602316Those stupid wireless dongles can't be that expensive
>>738602412>>738602316ah you're talking about wireless my bad
I honestly like the Series controllers more. And I use both very regularly (not every 360 game is backwards compatible).
>>738602404might be a game changer I always wanted to play some over the shoulder games on PC with controller, like MGS V, but I avoided it because of the precision aim it often requiresif the gyro is good enough it can be like every game is resi 4 on the wii potentially
How is this supposed to emulate keyboard + mouse for my strategy games?
>>738602154It's actually inheritance from the dreamcast controllerYou can trace the xbox's lineage back to that with the old place they had you put memory units. The placement of the stick was mostly an afterthought they never corrected on.Funny too, it wasn't an intentional decision on Nintendo's part to take the layout for the pro controller on the switch/2 either. It just matches the layout of the joycons which have to be asymmetrical so when used as individual controllers they're oriented mostly the same way.
>>738602540One thing to look out for though are games that don't support mixed inputs. I tried playing Dead Space Troonmake the other day and I'm not able to use mouse plus my analog keyboard, or controller plus gyro aiming tied to mouse. It's one of those games that automatically flicker between M&K and controller inputs as you press things. My movement kept halting every time I utilized the mouse inputs and the UI kept flickering between control inputs. Some games you will have to rely entirely on one control scheme or the other. So set your controller to exclusively M&K controls or exclusively controller controls with the gyro being tied to the right analog stick. Any games that allow for mixed inputs you'll just set the gyro to mouse aim which is typically superior on precision.
>>738602540RE4 on Wii is good because it uses IR sensor bar for aiming. Gyro is completely different and dogshit in comparison.
>>738602597it just werks
>>738602882aw rly? thought it was just gyro controlsnever actually tried it myself, just know that everyone praises the aim to be superior even to mouse
>>738594507WHYWONTYOUDIEno seriously I've got over two thousand hours on this thing with Oblivion alone. I've finished over a hundred games on it. This thing will outlive me
>>738603403wired?
>>738601989>substituteThey're complimentary, you stick for large movements and then slightly twist the controller for fine aiming
>my 2009 wired 360 pad FINALLY gave up the ghost last weekthe first time I've been sad about a controller dying
>>738605318I hope he went out on a bang and not a whimper as in smashing him to the ground in gamer rage.
>>738605530nah, just threw it in the trash and lit a candle in it's memory
>>738601989https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/List_of_games_that_support_tracked_motion_controllers_in_non-VR_gameplay
>>738605318rest in peace my niggi
how many of you know what the new back/select and start buttons are called?i know one of them is options but i couldn't tell you if thats the squares or lines button
I don’t, because the Xbox Chad already won
>>738607906I call them Windows and Hamburger
>>738608140>select/backSoul>optionsSoulless
>>738601761I have one and it's been very nice. Mostly been using it in DS4 mode to have gyro controls for certain emulated games. I don't much care for the software that you're supposed to use with it though, I mainly just use it to turn the RGB bullshit on the controller down as to not waste battery life.
>>738594507Great ergonomics, shit everything else>Pain in the ass to connect to PC during its life span>Fragile as fuck, my friends with a 360 had to buy like 12 during the 360 age>Second worst dpad known to man, only one worse is GC>Weird batteries cage, some AA batteries didn't fit right and you had to use the paper fix>Buttons get stuck if you play games with heavy button mashingThe only reason it was ever considered good is that for a really long time it was the only decent controller in the market: Nintendo had Wii shit, DS3 was too tiny and the triggers were retarded, and third party controllers were mostly shit
