There is rumours that Bill Gates loved playing Motorstorm on his PS3

OP said consoles, not PC

I was going to say the Wii because of its games, but on the other hand, the PS3 is glowing.

I can play games going back to the 70s for a bunch of different platforms on my PC. You can't even come up with ONE good PISS5 game.
>>
>>738600805
Hard choice. The only stand-out must-have games were on the Wii, but it didn't have a lot of non-slop games outside of their first party. Xbox 360 I had a lot of fun with, but it was all online shit or indie stuff. PS3 had... uhh... it had... fat princess?

Fuck you.

360 had better exclusives, but I did enjoy a lot of PS3 exclusives as well.

The only Wii games I liked are the ones that I don't have to engage with the wagglan.

ps3 + free online

this was the last true console generation and all of them had worthwhile exclusives

all 3 consoles lived in the permanent shadow of the previous generation. Wii was great for playing GC games tho, and easy to find used and in decent condition.

I don't know numerical generations, because I'm not limited to what daddy console manufacturer allows me to play this "generation."

Don't get me wrong the Wii and The Xbox 360 were great consoles for sure but they just didn't quite compare to the Playstation 3
Again, great consoles.
>>
The 360, PS3 was a pain in the ass for ports; Sony only prioritized its own studios to understand the CELL mess. It took them years to capitalize on it; it was almost at the end of the generation.
>>
>>738603159
Stalkers
The Witcher
BioWare games like Mass Effect 1 and Dragon Age: Origins played better on PC; they were later adapted for consoles when the quality decreased.

Or maybe PC was the winner after all?

ME1 had some problems out of the gate on PC. It took forever for them to fix a bug where if you go deep in the menus (like to save) and then hit escape really fast to back out of it, you lost your UI (it wasn't just visual, either. you couldn't interact with anything, just run around). The only way to get it back was to alt-f4 and relaunch the game.

Little Big Planet
SSFIV AE
I don't need to say anything else
>>
>>738605005
I played a lot on PC at that time, but it didn't even come close. Even so, each platform was unique. I used PS3, Xbox 360, PC, and Wii; each one offered its own unique experience.
>>
>>738605123
And likewise, the gameplay of those titles was much more comfortable on PC despite the bugs; playing that type of RPG on consoles is a real pain. It's noticeable that for the second and third installments they had to remove many RPG elements to make it accessible to consoles, and that's when the drop in quality becomes apparent.
>>
>>738600805
I had all 3, I played my 360 the most, its what I think of first when I think about that gen, Wii second, it was full of awkward waggle gimmicks but it had a number of gems, PS3 had Demons Souls, MGS4, Valkyria Chronicles, and maybe a handful of other games I didnt play.

That said PC mogged that gen, total fucking bloodbath, 8800gtx absolutely blew the console shit out of the water, it was a brutal mogging spoken of in legends, blighttown didnt chug on PC, dragons dogma was 560p15fps hell, wii games were 1080p/60fps thanks to dolphin, to someone with a PC anything that had a PC version was defacto a PC exclusive because consoles were so shit.

>this guy again
ME2 is one of the best games of all time, and the peak of the trilogy.
>>
>>738600805
360 for me, dead rising, xbl was peak online for consoles, lost planet 2, re5 versus with random japs, sants row 2....loved that console
>>
>>738605737
???? I like ME2, but it's undeniable that they neglected the RPG elements and made it more accessible on consoles, resulting in a drop in the quality of what an RPG should be.
>>
>>738600805
As someone who was Idort back then i think i gonna ultimately give it to the PS3.

NoGaems an 599 US DOLLARS aside it did eventually find its stride as the 360 "locked in" in the worst way but i will stand by that when it was trying early on (When we got shit like Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey) it had the stronger showing the problem was not keeping up, The Wii had gems, but also so much trash and WAGGLE hindered as much as it helped it once the novelty wore off.

And don't take this as some kind of Sony Worship, honestly think i have overall more fond memories of the 360.
>>
>>738600805
whats going on here? how does this work?
>>
Obviously 360. Halo 3, gears and xbox live in general was insane. The only reason you'd say otherwise is if you didn't experience it (tranny kid)
>>
>>738600863
There was God of War.
>>
>>738600805
Wii, PS3, PC, DS, and PSP > 360
Fuck Xbox, fuck Games for Windows Live, fuck Microsoft
>>
>>738600805
it felt like 360 was winning at the time but i can't think of any games anyone played on it that weren't multiplats or multiplayer shit that nobody would go back to play once new multiplayer thing came out
wii had the most games I think. Monster hunter Tri, Mario Galaxy, xbc, smash bros brawl, zelda, the usual nintendo fare.
PS3 had littlebigplanet which was kind of huge at the time. It was pretty unprecedented to have a game like that on console. Demons souls, MAG....

Man, thinking back, were we already in multiplat hell by that point? 7th gen was the last console gen where i actually had to think about it. It was the gen i stopped buying games for console and started buying them on PC because consoles started to kind of feel identityless outside of nintendo handhelds, and pc let me mod, pirate, and the games ran better.

>>738608920
I used to love the 360, but now looking back, I came to realize I don't actually like the Xbox at all, never really did. It had NG, but that's now on everything, same with DOA. I always liked Nintendo, PlayStation, and PC more, glad I grew up with them. I honestly kind of wish I never got an Xbox, but at the same time, if I didn't, I wouldn't have grown up to realize it was always shit.
>>
>>738600805
man I love cool console carcasses
shame it's AI
>>
>>738607145
ME1 wasn't exactly a hardcore CRPG, and it was designed for consoles first. The reason a lot of ME1's systems were pared down was because they sucked.
>>
>>738603561
These came to my mind.
The Void/Turgor (2008)
Saints Row 2 (2008)
Armored Core 4 (2006) and For Answer (2008)
Bayonetta (2009)
SpecOps: The Line (2]12
Castle Crashers (2008, it originally came out in that gen)
