Generally I've found it increases the value of the story for me, especially when it's a really emotional story. I like seeing how different people interpret the hard hitting moments

Noire, and I immediately felt like I had no idea what I was doing. The game controls like utter dogshit and I didn't know if it was designed that way or if it was a problem on my end. But I also just felt like I had trouble immersing myself into the game. NPCs were telling me things and I had trouble figuring out how that related to the world around me. Like the game begins with you and your partner walking down an alley. I tried looking around but while wrestling with the camera my partner found something. I could not tell what the fuck it was. I think it was a fire escape but I thought he mentioned a gun. So I ran around but I couldn't see anything that looked like what the little cutscene was showing me. My partner was getting sick of my shit but eventually I somehow ran into what I was looking for and climbed onto the roof to find a gun. How did he know a fucking gun was on the roof? Then he wanted us to get in the car and go look for someone to interrogate and I just thought, "I have no idea what's happening."I imagine the game is a lot more fun to watch someone to play.
