So that could be why, or it could be that The Knight is fundamentally not associated with Freedom like the others are, since every boss fight where the motif plays has the text "The air crackles with freedom" hence the name. It playing in AIRWAVES is the odd one out. It suggests maybe a further association of freedom with FRIEND, and/or that Mike/Friend is who the shards originate from.
