Add the additional 5 years to develop an actual 'DMC6' sequel, then it will be 15 years before we get a continuation.It's a comatose state for this IP. RE can afford to have remakes being released alongside 'new' entries. DMC isn't so privileged.

I don’t want it. The reason 1 was so good was because of the fixed camera angles. You know exactly what a remake of 1 would entail in RE engine. They’ll forgo that gothic early 2000’s Blade/Matrix/Daredevil techno aesthetic and just make it like DMC3 and 5. You can’t remake DMC1.

aesthetically, how do you remake DMC? If I had my way, I’d make it a neo-gothic urban game that takes from Netflix’s Daredevil, The Batman, and puts Dante in a city setting that recontextualises action combat from combos on a flat plane against a few enemies, to something where enemy weight, player movement and launching enemies across and into city scapes becomes the core of combat.

You can bet Trish will have her tits covered and Dante will sound more in line with his DMC5 self, and there will DEFINITELY be a new wacky cutscene for memetic purposes.
