They're going to drop the idea of Origin characters right? Everyone would rather make their own unless it's something like the Dark Urge
You have always been able to do your very own character if you dont want to pick the origin characters, i doubt it would be any different on the new one.
>>738613167no idea but the game will probably just be a flop anyway, because women and fags loved the idea of shipping the characters and romancing themmeanwhile this game has the majority of its cast be weird lizards, fat dwarves and divinity elves that look like trees instead of metrosexual nuDnD designs.
>>738613167Remember when the trailer dropped and /v/ got exposed for being bigger pussies than Reddit? Good times.
>>738613363Nah, OS2 just kind of fucked up on the models. You can tell from the actual artwork they were meant to look quite different from the in-game models.
>>738613363why are tourists who had never even heard of larian before bg3 like this
>>738613167
>>738613429Some chuds will never recover from the bear sex articles
>>738613471pretty sure the CGI trailer showed the weird elven physiology already during that orgy where that elf was getting double teamed by a negro and an orc while a little girl watched
>>738613363dos2 has romance and its way less pozzed than faggy bg3
>>738613802that's why normalfags didn't play it
So is this just edgy Baldurs gate?
>>738614047Wrong, DOS2 was the most popular and normalfag friendly CRPG until BG3Tourists really need to take a hint
>>738614216no its whimsical comedy baldurs gate
>>738613167Doubt it. BG3 was slightly better than DoS2, but still shit because it feels like you're missing out if you're not playing as the companion characters, even though Dark Urge was clearly meant to be the default.
>>738613429incels being afraid of fucking alligators will never not be funny to me :P
Sebille my beloved
>>738613363>>738613481Niggas seethe when you point out that DOS2 had the 2nd highest peak of a non f2p game when it released on steam.DOS 2 was huge, DOS 1 as well to a lesser extent but DOS 2 is still to this day one of the most played CRPGs ever.
>>738613167any news? any screenshots?? something??
>>738616538They are years away
Are you supposed to pick an origin character in these games? Even BG3?
>>738616831Absolutely. DoS2 could be argued the intended pc is fane, while in BG3 its dark urge.
>>738614221Just from that one group of chucklefuck streamers that did the prison tutorial a thousand times.
>>738616831Don't pick custom in DOS2, you will miss out on a lot of story shit
I would actually consider picking an Origin if they maintained more of their character, particularly dialogue and scenes, than they did in BG3. In BG3 you're just a Tav wearing another character as a skin suit with the occasional bits of bonus dialogue. I would actually be fine with my dialogue options being much more limited in general if it meant I maintained the voice and character of that Character. If that's not in play, then yes I generally don't care for Origins. They just feel like I'm getting less of the character I liked enough to decide to play a 100 hour campaign as. I also don't love total blank slates like Tav though. Durge is generally the best middle ground. A mysterious past you can decide how to deal with.
>>738616907>>738616963I just finished dos 2 for the first time and I did a custom mc and it felt really refreshing not being the center of attention.I had Loshe,Red Prince and Fane in my party and I felt like I was just a retard there to get shit done, was fun.
>>738613167I do not care for the Divinity setting. Even less than Faerun.
>>738613429I'm still convinced it was a sloppy and forced shilling, like when back in the day EA paid protesters to stand with signs against Dantes Inferno
>>738616907>>738617201Yeah, I think you lose a lot with certain characters when you play them since you lose out on their dialogue and stuff.
>>738616963You can do their stories if you just have them in your party just don't do an all-custom group if you wanna see those.
>>738613167Why didn't he show off his space game first instead that would have been more interesting
>>738617409Considering i only played dos 2 and quit dos 1, me neither. Read up on some articles, and it feels like they cant settle if they want grim dark or whacky clown shit Ill still play 3, they were fun games, even though their writing leaves a lot to be desired
>>738617416With how much this board still seethes over bg3. Highly doubt it.
>>738617557dos1 was specifically kickstarted as a somewhat wacky monty python adventure contrasting to the (then standard) grimdark edgeshit crpgs usually werei like dos2's direction better where it's more serious but then again i have never liked wacky shit in my super cereal adult entertainment anyway
>>738617875>dos1 was specifically kickstarted as a somewhat wacky monty python adventureWhy say this when it's trivial to check the Kickstarter page and find out you're lying?
>>738617557According top Swen the idea behind the trailer was to show possibility to players. You can go into this trying to fix this world, or make it even worse.
