Any chance they'll make a "Dumbass Mode" for people like me that are too tired to mentally care about puzzles? Maybe like a simple puzzle mode. I love everything about crosscode and this game. But the difficult puzzles just kill the flow and act as a deal breaker for me.
>>
how tf are you getting stuck in puzzles?
the only thing you have to identify is WHERE IS THE BALL and WHERE IS THE BALL DESTINATION.
The middle of those is just moving stuff and there is no time limit.

You might have the wrong board.
/v/ is for steam charts and screenshots of articles about financial performance of games.
We don't "play" games here.
>>
>>738621717
Eh, probably not. Puzzles are a decent portion of their games.
>>
>>738622071
I just really like the combat and love the cute characters and story, but the dungeons in crosscode hurt my brain and always made me groan knowing it'd probably be an hour or so until I could get back to the fun parts. puzzles are such a chore, the devs should just add an optional "skip puzzles" accessibility feature.

Ah, so I got a few hours left. Good to know.
I never finished Cross Code, so I plan to do that + DLC afterwards.

how about you just "watch" this "game" on "youtube" then, mr. "I don't want to play videogames"?
>>

I hope not
What’s the timeframe for release?

So basically your saying your enjoyment of the game hinges on other people having an option to skip certain aspects or enjoy the game in a different way then you? I think the best outcome would be if we could both buy and enjoy the game the way we want. I really don't understand why you hold this viewpoint. Elitist gatekeeping is just kinda lame my friend.

Its a good game. A really good game. God its going to be a long 2 years for it to be finished.

>>738622818
Dude I didnt play Crosscode until last year. I had no idea what I was missing.

>>738623427
2 years.
>>
>>738621717
Really enjoying the combat. Puzzles are way too easy but it's still only the first 1/5th of the game and the ones in CrossCode were really well designed for the most part. Seems they're breaking up the dungeons into a more balanced mix of combat, puzzles and bosses which is great to see.
Only concern is that they'll shoehorn in an interracial gay relationship plotline between the protag and the redhead for DEI points.
>>
maybe if we complain enough on the steam forums they won't add more puzzles in future updates
>>
>>738623702
There's an overzealous mod locking down any threads that criticize the game.

you mean this fag didn't give it away that the game will OBVIOUSLY have queerbait in it?
>>
/v/ swore by CrossCode but it turns out to be too retarded for my taste at the beginning.
Will this be the same?
>>
I've heard alabaster as a euphemism for cum.
Is that just me?
>>
at what point does accessibility just invalidate a game? if a game allows allows the player to enable infinite health, enemies die in one hit, infinite currency, etc, just by toggling it on or off in the menu from the very second the game begins, is that a game anymore?
>DON'T LIKE IT, DON'T USE IT!!!!
what is the point of this? why would a developer spend years of their life and millions of dollars just for the player to skip all of their hard work?
>>
>>738623898
Oh I've played CrossCode, I knew there was going to be the odd fruity NPC here and there, I can stomach a little queerbait, it's when they start trawl fishing it in and making it part of the main storyline I take umbrage.
>>
>>738623457
Accessibility kills games and your
>retard baby mode
is time that could be spent actually developing the game.
>>
>>738624298
have very ableist of you. what about neurodivergent individuals who might not enjoy puzzles that much? how are we supposed to enjoy this game? if they just added an OPTION to skip the puzzles, then you could still enjoy them, and I could enjoy the rest of the game. there is no downside.
>>
>>738624241
I mean, what's worse, Customers missing your cool end game because they suck, or customers missing your clever battle system because they suck.
>>
sometimes I just want to smoke a bowl and not think when I play my games. puzzles are the direct antithesis of that because nothing fucking happens when you're locked behind a puzzle. at least combat has movement and colors happening on screen. when you're high and can't get past a puzzle, you're just staring at a motionless screen 99% of the time, shit's boring as fuck.
>>
>>738624589
Just go scroll on tiktok instead. No wonder modern gaming is so shitty with """players""" like you
>>
>>738624851
we can both enjoy the same game, dipshit, all they need to do is enable skips in accessibility. or is your enjoyment of a thing really dependent on preventing others from enjoying it too?
>>
>>738622359
>already been in development for several years

What about colorblind people, or people with a fear of bridges, or people with no hands, or people who only speak Ongota? You're playing a puzzle/action game and complaining that you don't like puzzles. Thr answer is to go play a different game in thr genre you actually want.

most games, or at least any game that isn't made by trump supporters, has colorblind options. Arachnophobia modes are also becoming more prevalent, and rightfully so. Thankfully, Sony is pushing the medium forward by pioneering accessibility features for differently-abled people. Hopefully every game will have features like these in the future.
>>
>>738625229
Arachnophobia mode but no cynophobia mode? That's not very inclusive now, is it?

and I thought gay robin from cross code was bad. Im staying away from this shit

I can't quite put my finger on it, but there is not literally a single male character in this game that doesn't look queercoded. Something about how the artist draws their faces, they all look so fucking goofy.

Can't take games are too hard people too seriously when I see people who can only move their mouths and shit and still finish games like elden ring.

>puzzle/action game
according to the actual devs, it is a narrative action-RPG. the puzzles are incidental. I liked crosscode for the fun characters and story and that's why I want to play alabaster dawn. the combat is okay but not my favorite, but the puzzles just aren't fun. both games would be much better without them and the dev should just allow players to skip them. it would do nothing but improve the experience for everyone involved. you could still enjoy your boring puzzles, and I could sit back and enjoy the story without being slowed down by frustrating puzzles every 10 minutes.
>>
I feel like there should be better way to perform a move than 90% being press and hold
>>
>>738626443
The puzzles are fun if you're not a mouth breather. A little too easy, but there's nothing frustrating about them at all, they're all very straight forward - put the ball in the hole. Hopefully they'll get more complex later though :)

This will take at least 4 years to finish consider the scope of the game, and I'm not going to play until then cause I don't want to replay the whole game to see entire finish product
