The game is nearly a decade old, and my thoughts on it haven’t changed much.

As a Sega Hard Girls fan, this crossover sucks in every single category. The amount of mischaracterization, flanderization, and derailment of the characters just to make the plot of them fighting work is so bad it genuinely hurts.

As a Neptunia fan, this game also sucks because it continues issues with bad localization (what the hell happened to Segami’s personality in English? She’s not supposed to be a complete bitch), awful gameplay design, and mean-spirited humor being prioritized to compensate for the lackluster plot and numerous plot holes.

As a crossover in general for both series, it extremely sucks.

It’s just Neptunia at its worst traits: a slow, dragged out story with missed potential and little to no actual worthwhile long lasting substance, with Sega Hard Girls slapped on in name only because they are so out of character, ironically lacking memorable features or characters from their series (like where is Professor Asobin? He’s basically the Sega Hard Girls version of Histoire), while also heavily downplaying them as goddesses, which they didn’t even bother mentioning despite that being firmly established in their debut.

Neptunia games are kusoge.

all IF games are the Phil Swift "slap cute anime girls on dogshit" meme

I sadly have to agree with that. Neptunia is a cool franchise by concept, but the execution is pretty horrendous, mostly in the gameplay. The stories are hit or miss. I like the original Hyperdimension Neptunia (2011) tone and Megadimension Neptunia.

What is the best neptunia game on steam if I had only one to play?

i dont think you should

Play rebirth 1 and ignore the rest
And if you like 1 wait a few months and play Victory 2
After that never look back at that series ever again

the game let crawl through holes and hang from bars as a girl with a skirt, that has to count for something
>>
I thought it was fine... Definitely janky but that's Neptunia for you. I still think Victory is the only actually good game in the series. Most of the others will either have horrid gameplay or be like 2 and v2 where they have an incredibly uncomfortable tone and take themselves too seriously.

Speaking of this game, it’s kind of interesting that it’s based on Sonic Generations, with references to the Time Eater and traveling through Sega’s history across different eras, but it neglects to bring up the other Sega representative from the Sega Hard Girls series.

all these games are the same since mk2

Actually yeah adding that yeah no that makes no sense why he is not in this game especially since they specifically chose an obscure reference of the events in the Drama CD.

Best Girl!

I remember you were supposed to get a bad end and time loop to the beginning so you would win in the next loop. But if you really wanted you could level up and win the fight without needing the second playthrough.
Otherwise it just seemed like a standard nep game.
>>
But guys is this the only one with sega dreamcasts and sega Saturn!?
>>
>>738624535
either rebirth 3 or megadimension
>>
Look it's going to be the latest one or the sega one I don't like choosing
