Honest thoughts on this character?
>>738629250Literally did nothing wrong.
Masterfully written. The game just doesn't work without him. He is the anchor for the entire plot, and introducing him in such a bizarre way after losing what we thought was the actual protagonist? Brilliant.
>>738629250He will never replace Gustave in my heart.
>>738629250Only the last scene with piano is good, otherwise a total downgrade from Gustave
>>738629250he broke my heart
>I'll miss you guys..
>>738629250He's great. Complete slimy rat bastard.
>>738629250Only petty thing he did was let Gustave die, otherwise everything else he was completely justified.
>>738629925>slimy rat>was right about everything
>>738629250>sacrificed his life for his stupid writer sister>had to sacrifice his life again and kill all his friends because of his stupid writer sister
>he's fake gustave>actually he's real>actually he's fake again>play the piano
>>738629250>Sandfall is now in cahoots with Anita Sarkeesian Well, they lived a short life.
>>738629250He has to watch his previous lover get it on with her husband while his sister keeps everyone immortal for her entertainment. The ultimate cuck.
>>738629250How come you guys aren't talking about Anita Sarkeesian working with them on their next game?lol
>>738630501>>738630304Fucking who
>>738629250I loved his banter with Monoco.
>>738630501>>738630304she's full 1488 now
>>738629250Most based jRPG lead since fei wong
>>738629250He should have banged his brocon sister just once before erasing the canvas.
>>738629250This might be weird but I've had multiple dreams about this game and they both involved Verso. The first was some weird shit I can't remember where I had his haircut and white streak. The other I was paralyzed against the mask keeper until I tore off his mask while the persona 5 victory screen played and it showed the security level go down to zero and it said SoB. I only beat this game 2 weeks ago and it's affected my subconcious that much, sign of a good character I guess.
>>738629250#NotMyGustave
>>738631046Especially the conversation where they reminisced on fucking each other.
>>738629250A lying, cheating backstabbing bastard of a man, and completely, 100% in the right.I fucking adored the characters in the game, but the men especially are good
>>738629250>not even the real Verso>just his mother's copium given formhard pass
Who cares, the game is trash after the first act anyway
>>738632790>t. Gustave
>small studio makes a good game>gamers reward them with deserved praise and purchasing the game >studio gets big and starts hiring alphabetfreaks and dei consultantsEvery single time without exceptions, why are the fucking retards always falling for this shit?
>>738632942They hired literally one black woman as a marketing specialist
>>738632942Forgot image
>>738632942what did you expect from a french company?
>>738629250Did nothing wrong and his father was right all along.
>>738629250>did nothing wrong>literal chad with cool hair>fucks every woman in his path>has the better ending>has a really fun move set and combat style
>>738633059Hiring the best you can with your budget is the normal thing to do, if she's really good at marketing being a nigger doesn't matter, hiring Anita Sarkeesian is literally useless and in fact it will only make people not buy your games.
>>738629990Not mutually exclusive. He’s a natural liar
>>738630012wrong kid died
>>738629250Hated him. The core premise of Verso's character as a tragic villain trying to justify his desire for death with the desperate desire to save his real-world family is interesting, but I think the main cast has to be lobotomized for his role in the story to work. He blatantly betrays and lies to the group at multiple points and gets everyone they know and love killed, just for them to all nod solemnly and let him continue traveling in the party anyway so he can he betray them again later and finish the rest of them off. He has the gall to play the victim when he drives his sister to suicide, and I'm supposed to feel bad that his lying ass is sentenced to play the piano for people that he helped mass slaughter.
>>738633175Yeah, his painted Father
>we want the ddlg audience
>>738629250bland and forgettable, like the rest of the cast
>>738629445t. e33 was his first video game
>>738633809He was fighting for the Greater Good. Gotta break a few omelettes
>>738635595>He blatantly betrays and lies to the group at multiple points and gets everyone they know and love killed, just for them to all nod solemnly and let him continue traveling in the party anywayYea this shit bothered me to no end, nigger stayed benched the entire game.
>>738639042what greater good?
>>738635595>betrays and lies to the group at multiple pointsfrom his point of view it's "a group". he's seen like 50 expeditions fail. why care about them?
>>738633448>taking a picture with someone at an award show/expo now counts as hiring themJust like how leftists claim taking a picture with someone who made edgy jokes years ago counts as approving of said jokes? Horseshoe theory in action.
>>738629250Great, so refreshing to have a complete piece of shit as one of the main character. He hurts everyone and does it again and again
>>738629250He's a man who must (and does) destroy his own humanity to protect the liberty of the systems of existence around him, so undoubtably, Reddit hates him.
>Epstein taking pictures with everyoneYea i'm going to hold on for more information before I never buy anything from them again.
>>738629250A real human bean, and a true brother.
>>738639813Meant to reply to >>738639589
It's evil and outrageous that Verso mislead and betrayed the expeditioners. And by expeditions, I mean the groups of ignorant people who have no idea what's going on but have already made up their minds to kill the thing that is keeping them alive.
>>738639360Well beyond the fact that he remembers Malle as his sister and proceeds to let people she's lived an entire lifetime with die in front of her in order to make her easier to manipulate, I don't think that watching multiple expeditions fail justifies wanting to genocide the rest of their civilization
>>738640008It makes sense the expeditioners were retarded, after all they were created by a w*man.
>>738640351You were created by a woman as well, assuming you aren't an alien
>>738640398I am a fellow homo sapiens sapiens indeed, fellow human.
>>738640267she let gustave die because painted renoir was gonna shove maelle out of the painting. but she resisted and verso cringed in the background and stepped in.
>>738629250Amazing pitiful sack of shit.
>>738640506*he let as in verso
>>738629250He unironically made me quit the game for good the moment I took control of him. There should have been at least an hour or two with just the girls to mourn Gustave properly before getting him in the party>But it was all done on purpose!Couldn't give a shit. It was tasteless and I will never go back to it.
>>738640689>There should have been at least an hour or two with just the girls to mourn Gustave properlyMaybe if you kept playing you'd get there anon...
>>738633448>and in fact it will only make people not buy your games. Most people don't give a fuck about who works on a game; culture warriors on both sides are a loud minority.
>>738640753See>Couldn't give a shit.
>>738639171Saving his family.
>>738633175>>738635631Both Renoirs were right
>>738629250no fucking idea who this isat first I thought it might be someone from dragon age: origins but no
>>738640689gustave wasnt real anyway, even inside the world. so his death was meaningless. its funny how the act 2 twist ruins the whole plot
>>738635595>but I think the main cast has to be lobotomized for his role in the story to work.I don't really think so. It honestly makes sense why they trust him. First, during act 2, they 100% need him and wouldn't stand a chance without him. They know he's lying but there's not much they can do.Then, in act 3, he explains what happened and is genuinely sorry and wants to fix it. I personally don't think he was lying there. He only turns and tries tp destroy the canvas when Alicia goes crazy after fighting Renoir and plans to stay. Before that, he wanted to restore Lumiere. They also need him at this point too, so even if they don't 100% believe him, they still don't have much of a choice.
>>738640836>family drama is the greater goodno wonder the story is shit if this are all the stakes of an rpg. explains the non-existend worldbuilding though
>>738641205>>family drama is the greater goodYes. Your family matters more than random strangers. This is literally encoded in your DNA since billions of years ago. You're defective if you disagree.>no wonder the story is shitIt's not.
>>738633069Well, it was fun while it lasted. Got one good game out of 'em.
>>738629250the cool guy has died so lets immediately replace him with the cool guy: the game
>>738633069please tell me this is fake and photoshopped/AImy cope is that ever since mastercard shit, anita has turned coat and went full freedom fighter. not the first time a leftoid went the other way. that young turks chick did as well and now she is all about exposing (((them)))
>>738641489Classic JRPG shit too. Replace the green guy in Legend of Dragoon, with the other green guy
>>738629250Ugly brown faggot
>>738629250Everything about this game is insanely ugly
I wept three times playing this. Just a masterpiece of Western fiction.
>>738641192In act 3 he genuinely wants to help Maelle, he only changes his mind when Renoir shows them their mother going full zombie mode after we beat him.
>>738641752Yeah that's what I was saying. He wanted to believe there was another way, but when he saw Aline and when Alicia lied, he knew the only way was to destroy the canvas.
>>738641537Post proof that Anita Sarkeesian turned coat.
>>738629250A liar, a cheat, a snake. Backstabbing cunt and a hypocrite, a two-faced confidence-man. One of the greatest characters in vidya.
>>738629250He's hot (both literally and figuratively)
>>738629250lying son of a bitch and also well written because he had motives for lying
>>738641009Maybe try learning to read?
>>738635595>but I think the main cast has to be lobotomized for his role in the story to workActually, that starts in Act 1. Lune goes from being mission focused and wanting to ignore the possibility of rescuing Maelle, but then immediately flips and wants to take a detour to see Gestrals and fuck the mission. Gustave does the same thing, being all about the mission and those who come after, except when it is dramatic for him to completely disregard the mission and those who come after. Now, you could argue that Lune is secretly signaling that she both hates Maelle and that she sense Maelle is the true villain of the story, and you could also argue that Gustave is as big a liar as Verso and his for those who come after was always a performative larp. But unless you are going to argue that, you just have to admit, the story actually isn't that well written all around when subjected to scrutiny, and relies heavily on blind emotional investment in the characters.
>>738633069sad
>>738629250Badly introduced, inconsistent stance. Ultimately good, if you don't think about act 3 completely ruined the sotry
>>738631505You have autism
>>738631594You ok anon?
>>738641537Anita was always a grifter who went with what was popular so she could cash in on it. The profitability of Feminist politics has mostly dried up, so she’s pandering to the right. It’s highly likely that she never genuinely believed the majority of things she said.
I feel like E33 succeeded at what TLoU Part II failed at.
>>738647280How? E33 isn’t a revenge story and it’s not even the same genre.
>>738635595Maelle-fags really are an interesting specie to be studied
>>738647251She was literally a paid actor. Before the feminist thing she did testimonials for some shady coaching camp. The real brains behind her work was Jonathan McIntosh who I think is a true believer. Anita seems to have continued to run the grift without him though after he outlived his usefulness.
>>738635595>when he drives his sister to suicideWhat suicide?
>>738629250In my playthrough he sat on the bench all game, got no bitches, hated Maelle then became my strongest soldier with a proper build and finally killed himself happily. A real one if there ever was.
>>738629445I'm also still bothered that Jennifer English swept all the awards over Ben Starr - I think she did a decent job as Maelle but genuinely don't think she has that much range. Starr absolutely killed it as Verso though and the final scene in particular with the choice is so well done
>>738647706Consulting seems to be her schtick now. Although that’s not necessarily a good thing because most of the games she’s consulted on seemed to have suffered from it in some way (thinking of Crypt of the Necrodancer and Dishonored 2 specifically). Then again, both those games came out before she did her political heel-turn, so if she’s consulting for Sandfall’s next game, maybe it’ll be more conservative/TERF flavoured feminism she’ll go for.
>>738647732Painted Alicia I think. Verso hides the letter and sabotages the possibility of some reconciliation or trying to work out a different solution and then acts mad when she asks maelle to erase her when she's alone with pRenoir dead and like last of the 4 people left in the world. And versos plan would have erased her anyway.
>>738647861Jennifer English deserved the award, but for Painted Alicia rather than Maelle. I feel like her P Alicia performance is leagues above her Maelle. To be honest, it was either going to be her or Andy Serkis, since those were the two best performances.
>>738648012https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GhwmZ_U8Ff0https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gFHugtlIyv0Those two scenes are simply incredible thanks to Painted Alicia
>oh no, tall brooding older brother figure is dead>anyway, here's tall brooding literal older brother to replace himThanks game
>>738648712And they both have a sense of impending doom
Any of you lads actually get some mileage out of photo mode?
>>738629250Ben Starr once again put in the most awards wordy performance and was cucked out of awards by jews
>>738648712Gustave is a dork, he's not brooding, just sad Sophie died.
>>738629250He's the slimiest fuck alive>waits for gustave to die>doesn't explain his ties to renoir>doesn't explain that killing the paintress will gommage everyone>actively work to have everyone in the painting killed
>>738629990>was right about everything>please lune, sciel, die so that a kid can be forced to be a cripple
>>738649356>noo all my fake friends died>never mind I can just recreate them with magic>go on, play the piano
>>738648796I took like 100+ screenshots on my playthrough in photo mode, but I have nowhere to post them because I deleted my social media, the game is so pretty I took them anyway. I guess I'll just hold onto them and maybe post them if I ever return to twitter, or put them on steam community or a personal website like it's the 90s/00s again.
>>738648796I finished the game before they added it in, ill re-install the game one of these days. Have they said they were done adding stuff or is there something announced?
>>738647861>it's gonna be okay, it's gonna be okay...>you have this incredible ability to paint..>you never have to live a life you don't want
>>738646927>Lune goes from being mission focused and wanting to ignore the possibility of rescuing Maelle, but then immediately flips and wants to take a detour to see Gestrals and fuck the mission. It wasn't a detour, they had to go to gestrals because they had no other leads on how to cross the sea. >Gustave does the same thing, being all about the mission and those who come after, except when it is dramatic for him to completely disregard the mission and those who come after.Gustave was never 'all about the mission'. He wants to shoot his brains out when they crash land and is only stopped by Lune. Then he immediately disregards the protocol (waiting by the magical tree for X days for survivors to regroup) in order to immediately find Maelle.>for those who come after was always a performative larp. It's not a larp, he cares about both of those things but saving Maelle took priority. It's not that complicated, autismo.>you just have to admit, the story actually isn't that well written all around when subjected to scrutinyMaybe, but your arguments are straight up wrong.
>>738649653Nothing new announced but also no explicit confirmation the game is finished I don't think.
>>738650049>I will miss you guys
>>738650148kino
>>738650148>One final lie before he vanishes from exisistence
why did verso even help maelle beat renoir?seems cruel to let her think she'll be able to stay just to turn around and have the painting destroyed anyway
>>738646927the gesterals were said to help the expeditioners and needed help, so she was trying to get better chances against the paintress, plus her scientific interestwhere going to see if maelle is ok could very well be a trap because maelle is not following the protocol and they were just attacked by a "human"
>>738650354He resigned himself to help her and then changed his mind after seeing Aline.
>>738646927>>738650357She is also science brained so she wants to study every new thing, she quickly composes herself within seconds. She gets excited for like 2 seconds.
i think anyone crying about gustave getting replaced is just dumbbut i also think the game is dumb for not finding a way to resurrect gustave in act 3 and have the opportunity of having 2 parties of 3 in your expedition
Renoir did nothing wrong
>>738650354he only realizes that she doesnt want to leave the canvas when she talks with renoir and lies and understanding better the renoir painyou can see through his camp interactions that he is kind of looking forward to have a long life, from thinking about julie to wondering if sciel and him would be a thing once her husband comes back
>>738650679>from thinking about julie to wondering if sciel and him would be a thing once her husband comes backhe's just lying as always. he cannot stop lying
>>738650540>the empty slot is supposed to remind of the ones lostOr something.
>>738650816It would make the easy game even easier, can you imagine steamrolling everything with two full teams?
>>738650540charlie cox too expensive please understand
>>738650789i dont think he was, specially because the julie thing is he talking with esquie and i dont remember him lying to esquie or monoco>>738650860just balance it around it
>>738650960Verso hid Soarrie from Esquie
>>738629250His heart was in the right place but he was still a selfish lying cunt that had no right to make those choices.
>>738651664>had no right to make a choice on his own canvas

>>738629250>thoughts on this character?NTR protag of westroons
>>738653514Fake Verso sacrificed himself, his canvas, his friends to save his family thougheverbeit
>>738653567You should. It's fun
>>738653567That's cool anon, but I raped your mother with my peeenus weeeenus :) that's right your mother was raped by my peeenus weeeenus
>>738629250A massive piece of shit, genuinely incredibly well written. It's rare to have a character that is a scumbag but is so charismatic you can't help but kneel.
>>738646927>gustave is all about the missionNigga he was 5 seconds away from paiting the wall with his brains before he got stopped
>>738653678No he didn't. His family are the painted ones inside, his sister is Alicia not Maelle, he says this explicitly himself. His family are the ones he condemns to death in his mission to bring about the erasure of the canvas so that he can save himself from eternal grief. The only real person he saves who is actually his family is Aline.
>>738653514Painted Alicia forces Maelle to gommage her.And painted Renoir is a mass murderer.
>>738654830>Painted Alicia forces Maelle to gommage her.He already sealed her fate. He informs her of this by handing her back the letter she wrote for Maelle. She simply takes it on her own terms and refuses to let him have that control.
Ben Starr was amazing but more credit should go to the guy who did the motion capture for him (and many other characters) because there is countless moments where Verso chooses to remain silent, but his eyes and facial expressions say so much about what he's thinking. A great example is when he talks to the real Renoir and realizes his actual father and him both want the same thing.
>>738629354Fpbp
>>738655576Did you really play the game in English instead of French, especially if you were interested in subtle details?

>>738629250Fucked up he let Gustave die. Gustave of all people would have convinced Maelle to leave when he realized how the painting was harming her. That's why I don't think the Gustave in Maelle's ending is real and why that ending is maximun tragikino.
>>738641389>YourHis. And he already destroyed his family inside the painting. Painted Alicia wouldn't even look at him.
>>738656789Nah she give him a quick look before she let maelle gommage her
>>738656073Yeah and of course. Bro, how could I pay attention to the facial expressions and artistic beauty of the game if I have to avert attention to reading subtitles?
>>738640008Tbf, they all didn't belong there anyway, his sister (maelle) and their mother started this shit, on HIS canvas, they had no business painting on.That's like someone taking over your save file in a video game and claiming it as theirs while fucking up all of your accomplishments.
>people are STILL defending the Maelle endingInsane. You've learned nothing.
my favourite character in all of video games. Yes all. And I have played more games that you. You are all wrong. Verso is right about everything
>>738656707Too risky, Gustave might have wanted the lady from the intro back and he wasn't ready to go like Sciel

>>738657614Sciel because she's the superior choice
>>738657614Sciel's a best girl and unlike Lune wants to have some fun
>>738648971>Ben Starr once again put in the most awards wordy performance and was cucked out of awards by jews>Gives a outstanding performance as CliveLoses to a faggot>Gives an outstanding performance as VersoLoses to an autistic lesbian who got into the industry by nepotism through her frog gf.He's never getting an award unless he gets raped by a bear.

>>738629250i want to fuck both of his sisters

>>738658703no Im correct. Its just that I have certain standards when it comes to RPGs. worldbuilding, story and gameplay are the most important ones. and E33 fails in all three. maybe when you grow up you will also develop some taste.
>>738658639i know, you don't need to sell me on her even more
>>738658615The gameplay is good, fag. A solid 7/10. Not as good as SaGa or Bravely Default, but easily better than Chrono Nigger or Falcom shit.>worldbuildingDid you miss all the journals? Did you go straight to the goal and did not explore during the prologue? Did you not look at the mansion? There's so much environmental storytelling here.
>>738629250I've never felt such strong disgust for a video game villain. Awesomely written to be honest.
>>738635595I love the characters but they are women, it makes perfect sense that they would forgive him and put their trust in him over and over again, he's charming. He kills Gustave for a reason.
I got to act 3 and they opened up the whole world with the esquie flying upgrade. Am I supposed to explore and then to to lumiere for the end-game, or is going back to lumiere just the next step? I was a little unclear
>>738640689ThisThe biggest misstep in the game apart from the act 3 shift in focusAeris worked because you never get her back. I figured Verso would be my replacement the second I saw him but there really should have been at least one level without him to really sell the loss of Gustav. I was so disappointed when Verso joined immediately after the cutsene ended.
>>738661060Explore a bit, do the final relationship quests with the others at least and then go to lumiere, if you go to lumiere beyond like level 65 (iirc) it'll be a cakewalk, the real endgame areas are the tower (at least the later stages), flying manor and renoir's drafts. The game is kinda set up so you can go straight to the end if you want, but you'd miss out on some cool stuff.
>>738661060lumiere is the end-game. if you go there right when act 3 starts it'll be a challenge, if you do all the optional stuff first the final boss is piss easy
>>738661060There is a significant trade-off and the game sort of contradicts itself here. Mechanically it's designed around players heading directly to the next objective in a straight line, the final dungeon is balanced that way and it will be a pushover if you explore a lot first. Narratively though, exploring a lot gives a lot more weight to the endgame and restores some of the ontological presence of the painting and its inhabitants once the rug has been pulled at the end of Act II, and helps you regain your framing of the world as a real place which real people inhabit despite its unusual origin. If that perspective shift never bothered you then you may as well just head straight for the finale and explore after, although it is recommended to at least complete the relationships first.
>>738659901>He kills Gustave for a reason. Was it confirmed that Verso arrived "late" because he wanted Gustave dead?
>>738662330yeah, in his final conversation with maelle
>>738662330Maelle asks him if he could have saved gustave on the cliff and he tells her he let him die to increase his chances.
>>738662330Yes, but to Verso, Gustave simply isn't real. The only things real to him are the stuff he knows the real Verso painted. Even Lune and Sciel aren't real to him, as horrible as that sounds. They're merely victims of his grieving mother painting life that didn't belong.
>>738662485>>738663940Dang, he really was a bastard. I wonder if the real Verso was the same?
>>738664497so why is he fucking sciel/lune
>>738664683I would fuck a sex robot if I could, doesnt mean I think they deserve rights
>>738664564I would guess not. I imagine it's the whole living for over 100 years seeing everyone around you suffer and die all because your mother can't get over the grief that your death caused thing that made him a lot more callous.
>>738664683why do you jerk off to underaged anime girls?
>>738664802How long did the real Verso live? 30 or so years? The painted Verso (who is explained to 100% identical in both personality and looks to the real Verso, and Aline's greatest creation) has lived 3 times as long. Is his decision to destroy the canvas not even more justified considering it is a Verso who has lived even longer and still chose to destroy something he was painted with memories of creating?
>is the most gifted painter in the whole family >fucks off to do IRL shit while her family fights within her dead brothers canvas What was her problem?
Painted Verso would be much more despicable if he didn’t have all the positive interactions with Esquie and Monoco. I think it was the mark of good writing and mo-cap acting to have Verso be both anti-hero and have a boyish hero aspect to real Verso’s creations.
>>738629250best character in a video game this decade
>>738666975Can't deal with verso's death so she just tries to keep her mind off it.
>>738666975that's exactly why, she has bigger things to do than bother with family drama. i still think a sequel based around her IRL war would be kinda interesting.
>>738664683They are about as real as he is.
>>738666997You have to remember that he also painted both Monocco and Esquie and they're both unbelievably kind and caring companions. Really goes to show what kind of person Verso was even as a child. He truly is kind, but he is tormented by the need to make a sacrifice with such gravity behind it.
>>738629250Mary Sue.
>>738666975why is she barefoot
>>738657614Sciel, it's just two people fucking and being sad because the person they loved is dead. She also gets verso deeper.
>>738667249I don't know about that. Visage(He Who Guards Truth With Lies), painted by Renoir, is supposed to symbolize real life Verso.
>>738666997>that final relationship scene with Monocco where Monocco admits he knows what Verso's true intentions are>why are you doing this then?>for Verso, and for you. Makes a grown man cry every time. His relationship with Esquie and Monocco is pure bromance kino
>>738629354/thread
>>738667668>WAHHHH NOCO IS LE DEADWAHHHHH>yeah verso kill us all lmao
>>738629250No thoughts anyone has on this character matter at all because it's literally not a character, it's an in-universe NPC. It's not a person. It doesn't have a character, just programming.
>>738668015
>>738667983>not knowing Noco is literally a representation of Verso and a stand in for Monocco's loss of the real VersoThe parallels are everywhere
>>738664564>>738664802Renoir's work, "He Who Guards Truth With Lies" is inspired by real Verso. So while we never got to know him, I imagine he was a bit of a manipulative bastard as well.
>>738641752But we already knew that Aline was a grieving self-destructive fuck-up.
>>738668148>Oh you don't need those, i'm harmlessYea sure bro, not even verso believed him.Sciel: If I pull that off, would you die?
>>738667579Because of the whole music thing, that's most of the dialogue in visages.
Now that the dust has truly settled, was this game actually a masterpiece?
>>738667459>She also gets verso deeper.You... could say that.
>>738668448Nah, I trust lune was the bigger whore between the two>mommy and daddy issues>musicianSciel fucked pierre
>>738629250Not Gustave /10
>this character first shows up>oh fuck, a Morgana/Teddy gag character, well there goes the tone of the game >20 hours later and he is one of the best characters, with a heart of gold, and many memorable scenesHow did they do it?
>>738668407Did several things really well, did several things pretty mediocre. Depending on what you like this will affect your enjoyment. The game balance is shit, way too easy to become overpowered. Some things get introduced and then barely used again, stuff like the gradiant counter should have just been left out but that's my personal preference. Dodge could have been replaced by a partial parry mechanics
>>738657753why do i never see gameplay or in-game pictures from this pixel slop that stole fromsofts main series name?
>>738668609Sincerity is important.Same with the gestrals.
>>738668407A strong 7/10 imo.
>>738668609he didn't try to fuck the girls for one
>>738668407It's a 9, easy.
>>738630815you have to be 18 or older to post in this board.
>>738666975>>is the most gifted painter in the whole familycope, her nevrons are weak compared to Renoir's chromatic aberration also>no axonscleacels?
my drunk ass thought this was the saaros guy
>>738669168why are you drunk at noon daquan?
>>738669109Clea was busy making a clea factory, also she's why painted clea and simon are like THAT
>>738668407i don't know about masterpiece but i finally played through it last month and i very much enjoyed it, easy 9/10 for me at least.
>>738669346Simon is that powerful because he was trapped in Renoir's dungeon for a gorillion years, clea is a mid tier boss like sprong, the infinity tower super bosses are not canon btw
>>738669506>clea is a mid tier boss like sprongShe's like the second most powerful, in canon.
>>738669109>can literally paint over her mother's work>the woman who is so strong her husband has fought for a century within the canvas to stop her
CLEA SEXOOOOOOOOOOO
>>738629250>walks in>lets the step brother of Maelle died>fucks the griving window (twice)>doesn't tell eveyone the whole story (not a lie btw, just an omission)>lets everyone get gommaged>gives everyone hope>takes it away at the last second>beats up Maelle>diesMost based character in the last 20 year, dont @ me
>>738670059Her hair is stupid and she looks like ReviewBrah
>>738670098>>takes it away at the last secondNah, that's on maelle.
>>738669881she is a little poser, she would get bent by a novice writer chad
>>738670190you're confusing clea with nuashley
>>738670258>i am a paintress, i can paint anything i want and im so powerf-ACK!How the fuck did she get jobbed by Verso The Slimy Rat, did she want to fail?
>>738629250>Interesting character, legit nice to see a backstaber not getting a second chance or redemptiom at the end like many JRPGs do>Still plays the victim at the endJust like Light Yagami at the end of Death Note, why the fuck he acts so cowardly in both endings? He's a backstabing bastard, make him act according to his personality at the end.
>>738629250He was a compelling character that was introduced horrendously. I fucking hate it when the writers change the protagonist to someone completely new and expect people to instantly be on board. Act 2 of E33 really suffered because of this.
>>738668646gradiant counter was there to get dodge-only fags to try to parry for that counter, also imagine all the seethe if vanish attack was a normal parry
>>738670765To be fair, Act 2 painted Verso is more like a plot device and driver, he's not really a character until he reads painted Alicia's letter
>>738629250he's literally me
>>738629250Star of the show
>>738670909Yeah, and that's a fucking problem. That's not "being fair" that's a big fucking blight on the game's story
Verso did nothing wrong.
>>738669109>cope, her nevrons are weak compared to Renoir's chromatic aberration also Simon fucking rapes Chromatic Aberration, Chromatic Creation, and all the Axons combined. He'd grow extra dicks through sheer determination to rape all at the same time. And you're forgetting that Clea is basically outright stated to be the strongest when they find painted Clea and Alicia says that only Clea is skilled enough to paint over someone elses creation.
>>738668407It's not a masterpiece by any means, but it is still really fucking good.If anything it's the other side of masterpiece - a masterpiece is one's most defining work, whilst something like E33 is a lightning in a bottle. A bunch of really talented people brought some incredible ideas together into a cohesive whole, and since it's everyone's first real shot at it, they all bring their A-game. The result is something that's flawed in many ways but it doesn't matter. That's the kind of thing you get very rarely because even amongst talented people, it can often only happen once.
>>738629250>Renoir: "My wife and child, we all mourn for Verso but we cannot allow ourselves to fall into that abyss while the rest of us still live. Do not succumb to the Canvas's temptations. We must steel ourselves and assist Clea in enacting our revenge on the Writers.">Aline and Alicia: "Ew, I know you didn't just try and MANsplain how the Canvas works. The way we are grieving is heccin valid and cute! My body my choice!">Verso: "I have been alive for 100 years and it's been absolute suffering. Your incessant obsession with the people of this world and myself has brought tremendous grief, please, Verso would not want to see what you have become. Move on for the sake of his soul and your own. I do not want this life.">Aline and Alicia: "Awww sweety but if you die then we will be sad! Can you just man up and put family first and be happy? Why are all men today just selfish man-babies?"This game is the ultimate Woman Moment.
Why is he not playing the piano like a good boy?
>>738671686take your meds
>>738671969Believe ALL women amirite fellow sissy?
>>738671686>Verso: "Uhhh sorry but actually now I want to die. I know a painter could just kill me but I'd rather kill all of the canvas, sorry Lune, Sciel, Monoco, Esquie. I'll heckin miss you though tee-hee"
>>738672098>I know a painter could just kill meSo... who?>alineha>maelle>ha>renoirtried>cleadoesn't really care
>>738672098>Verso "I know a painter can just kill me but unfortunately Aline gave me Verso's memories which means I know that her and Alicia are too emotionally stunted to ever let me go and every time I try to convince me they lecture me on how I am a problematic cis white male and I need to put their needs over mine. You can't reason with women."Nice strawman tho
the mimes genuinely freaked me outthe orphelin as well to be honest
>>738629250>make a liar>show that he's a liar>everybody still believes him Witchcraft.
>>738672580because he's hot
>>738668407It's in my personal top 5. It's not without its flaws, but can you think of a game without one? Even all-time legends like HoMM 3, VTMB and Dark Souls 1 are flawed in one way or another.
I have Ben Starr fatigue
>>738672656>HoMM 3, VTMB and Dark Souls 1lmao ok unc
