Has anyone else been playing the demo?
>cannibalize froggy service robots for turret gimbals
>strap them to a family sedan
>attach trench guns to the techno-abomination
>use it to play gun-chicken with APCs
>die in a fiery explosion

The Voltan Bog Rifle is a much more reliable car gun, I just need more wildcat for it.

>Bolting armor plates and dual M60s to a forklift isn't normal, but in Mar Nosso it is

I've got about 10 hours in the demo, great game so far. Interface is clunky, but the gameplay feels pretty solid.

For Garage, the very last mission is (I think) endless small maps that get progressively harder enemies and better drops. I looted a lot of vehicle weapons and high end infantry weapons, along with endless amounts of 50 BMG ammo from it. Once I got a cut 50 from a drop in a crate there, I became death incarnate, even in an infantry rig.

Vanderberg is the map to farm money, get that Corvid rig that skates around on treads and blast everything in the map. Get an RPG so you can one shot the armored car and you can loot about 4000 credits every 5 minutes. Should get you enough cash to fill out your garage from the merchant.

There's a semi-common energy rifle that's really accurate and one shots most infantry, eats small cells very slowly. If you find it, it's worth picking up since it's incredibly ammo efficient and small energy cells have almost no weight.

I've got a could energy weapons, and some "Ball" weapons, which I assume are all railgun weapons.

Found a couple funny little disposable laser zip-guns. They're like dollar store light-sabres that only fire for a couple seconds.
>>
>>738631415
>got a could
got a couple.
I think it's time for bed.
>>
>>738631195
There's three combat rigs in garage too, which are essentially different options on your base suit. The Carmine is a straight upgrade to the Loyalist rig, 100 HP instead of 20, can still use medkits, and all of the weight limits on your mounts are increased. The spacer rig has 100 shield HP and sort of hovers along the ground, not sure what the benefit of shields are in this game since enemies don't drop shield orbs. The Corvid one, the Cinderblock, is between a rig and a power suit, it's really fast, has one 30kg mount, armor, and 120 HP.

You can't enter tanks with the Carmine rig, and you can't enter vehicles at all with the Cinderblock. So the Cinderblock has some trouble with loot on some missions, it can carry a single 100kg small crate to store some stuff, but that's not enough for serious looting. I've dragged the Forklift around the final mission somewhat frequently since it can carry 5000kg (I think this is a bug, normal large crates are 500kg, but crates that have tank parts in them are 5000kg) which means I can walk out with a shit ton of new guns, tank weapons and parts, and restock all of my ammo.

>>738631415
I think the Alloy Rod are energy weapons/railguns, but I've only had one so far (The Frank) and it was terrible. Absolutely deadly to anything within 2 feet of you, including police APCs, but can't do damage at all beyond that.

The steel ball weapons are compressed air guns, like a BB gun with a CO2 cartridge. Except they fire heavy steel balls at a rapid rate. I think it makes them naturally silent.
>>
>>738630779
Need the ability to scrap the shitty guns that you won't use. The starting set also needs some kind of advantage to offset the shitty health pool. Because once you get the carmine suit there is no real reason to go back to a squishy human. Otherwise it's a cool template if they manage to bring back most of the old vehicle list as usable chassis that you can hotswap on the fly. Like taking a Ratking and filling every hardpoint with MGs or slapping a railgun on the flying cars.
>>
>>738631647
Loyalist Rig is a pilot suit, the others can't sit in tanks or mechs. So it eventually becomes your last resort if something dunks your Betuksha or Fork.
>>
>>738631647
I think it could use more running stamina.
Also maybe the ability to fire while prone.
Carmine would make sense that you can't fire on your belly, too much armor to get your shoulders in the right place, but the loyalist rig should let you fire from both crouching and prone.
>>
>>738631195
Yeah the sinkhole map is just like a dungeon that keeps going with better loot the lower you go. Taking the panelvan with a crate is a nice way to farm up 50cals, RPGs and other assorted goods.
>>
>>738631647
The inventory really just needs a rework. I can understand early on making guns a finite resource because you're fighting an insurgency, but eventually you should be able to find blueprints or market contacts or whatever that will let you build/buy a new gun and change the inventory to show up more as a collection. Like, I have about 200 Cochinos, at this point I could die 50 times in a row and still not be out of guns. Yeah, there might be some weird ones I don't have a bunch of, but I've got enough functional ones that there's no reason to limit them.

Also, a better/easier way to loot things on a map. I'd be happy with all ammo/guns/items naturally being added to your inventory for the map, but once you hit an exit, you have to discard things up to your actual weight limit. Would reduce a lot of the tedium of clearing a map and then going around to loot all the stuff you need in the early game.
>>
>>738632683
I don't mind the loot clunk so much, it feels like just enough of a pain in the ass to represent the mechanical effort of moving shit from the trunk of a car to the back of a van.
>>
When will we be able to Up-gun to OvO(tm)?

>>

>>
>>738632789

>>
>>738630779
This actually looks cool I'll try the demo. Is it mostly a vehicle combat game or is there a substantial amount of on foot stuff too?
Like I see you can run around but is that basically suicide and you will spend most of the game in a dawn of the dead murdercar?
>>
>>738633556
First game is all vehicle, Brigador Killers is mostly on foot for the demo. No idea if the full release will work out in the same way.

Infantry vs Infantry is less deadly, but then if you run into vehicles with anti-vehicle weapons, you will explode very quickly if you take a shot. Even so, I get the feeling the devs balanced a lot of the levels around infantry/powersuit mode since that was a hugely requested feature for the original Brigador.
>>
>>738630779
10 years to make a sequel that is basically just a shittier version of the first game but with a "loot it yourself" inventory, not even adding multiplayer or really anything people wanted. Ten YEARS. I liked the first game, too - but what the FUCK have dev cycles become without us realizing? The entire Halo FRANCHISE was born and died in under that time. Halo 1 was released in 2001 and Reach in 2010. Even being generous, this game was announced in 2019 and it's still not even close to done.
>>
>>738633707
I'm still waiting for an FTL sequel. There's nothing wrong with the first game, but more content would always be nice.

I assume for games like Brigador, FTL, Darkest Dungeon, and a whole host of other indie games, it's because the devs hit the nail on the head with the core gameplay and have no idea where to go next. Like how do you make Brigador better from a gameplay angle that's something simple modding can't do, like adding mechs or guns? There's not really anything that needs to be changed at its core.
>>
>>738633556
The previous game was all vehicles, but in this one you start off on foot and steal a van to put guns on it.
>>
Anyone know how to get the legs for the coffin?

The demo has really left me wanting to see what the full game will be like, with much slower progress than going straight to the carmine. I really like dthe the brief story tutorial missions, I'd love to see more like that, but with more involved tactics
>>
>>738633707
>bro why not like halo?
Halo was made by Bungie under MICROSOFT, you fucking moron. It was their full time job, they showed up to an office.

This game is basically being made in a fucking garage by a bunch of dudes, when they have the time. It'll be done when it's done. I just can't believe we get Silksong AND Brigador Killers playable content before GTA VI
>>
>>738633935
Luckily the two brothers have dear old dad to back them up. They already lost one artist because a wild troon in their company discord decided to start some shit. A good lesson to learn early on lest you get blackmailed through some other means and lose more than just money.
>>
>>738633556
The first game is on sale, I highly recommend it if the vehicle combat is all you want. The Killers demo is on foot to start, and you work your way up to mechs and tanks and such.
>>

>>

>>738634070

>>
>>738634635
the reason no one else uses the artstyle that they're best known for is that it takes a disgusting amount of time to make assets in it
>>
>>738634653
putting your reticle directly on a target gives you some brief assist, where the shot will be locked to them and account for their movement.
I still fucked myself up trying to throw grenades over a wall.
>>
>>738634635
I couldn't give less of a shit about co-op in the original Brigador, but in Killers it would be really great for the slower paced infantry combat or combined arms. There's a lot of times it would've been great to be able to set up an ambush and flank a tank or something, or just have someone covering my back while sniping distant targets.
>>
how the fuck are you supposed to deal with the armored cars, get lucky on the random gun spawns?
>>
>>738634653
>adjust for bullet drop
You never have to do this.
Just use any of the non-gutterball weapons. If you choose to throw a bowling ball at something in a game that has perfectly usable 105mm cannons and fifty varieties of automatics from a basic SAW up to AA-caliber autocannons, choosing the fucking bowling ball launcher and complaining about it is a skill issue.
>>
>>738635406

>>
>>738635406

>>
>>738636117

>>
>>738635406
From what I've tried:

50cal as others have mentioned from the dealership. It's sort of slow but works fairly safely if the car isn't chasing you down.

RPG works, one shot forces the occupants to bail. 40mm grenade can work with a few shots, but is too slow for my tastes.

7.62mmx51 machine guns work ok. They take a bit, but they chip away over time. You're guaranteed to get two from killing an armored car in Vanderburg. These also work well against soft targets as well.

There's some other weird options like that short range, one shot laser pistol to the back of an armored car or a mortar if one drops. You can also up armor a van or forklift and slap two high caliber machine guns to it and just slug it out with an armored car, chances are you'll eventually force out the occupants and can loot the vehicle yourself, taking it with you to the next mission after some repairs. You can also take a van and make it a suicide truck if you only have to kill one car.

Later on, you get vehicle mounted guns which make short work of them.

speaking as someone who only just tolerated the campaign structure in Brigador but loved everything else about it, the demo's basically perfect.
Really hope the final game manages to keep the constant tension of the demo's hobo phase throughout the whole thing. Even if getting to mulch through infantry in a power suit is incredibly fun, the demo becomes trivial the second you get a weaponized panel van and a halfway decent gun of some kind to slap on it.

What's even the point of the Dromon rig? I guess it might have some utility over the Carmine once shield recharging is added, but right now it's just a total joke.

Also PSA: the Sinkhole isn't actually that hard if you bail out before the fourth level or so, and is a great source of guns in the early-mid game. Come back with a Mongoose or maybe even a Coffin and you can steamroll the whole thing for a repeatable 16k-ish credits in a few minutes.

You can get special powersuits like the carmine rig that will up your HP to 100 (along with other passive buffs, like more carry weight and such). Brigador 1 is like my go to when I’m bored and want a 30 minute session of messing with all the weapons and vehicles and blowing up dudes. Great OST, weapons all feel and sound good, controls require some getting used to but they’re fine, you can read lore bits if you care about that.

It definitely lacks in the story department since it feels arcadey with its missions and the freeplay mode, but it’s a reliable choice when you just want to chill. Or not chill, since there are longer missions and that one challenge that’s like 100 levels long or some shit

The party van is a tank that can fit the 5000kg crate and can be entered with the Carmine rig, it's the real meta vehicle for looting.
The only issue is, that you gotta jump out to loot containers with it, everything on the ground can be instantly picked up however, and if you just drive over bodies with it, they drop everything they had to the ground.

Nope, you're not doing it right, you can keep the backpack equipped.
Open the armory and there should be an icon of the backpack on the bottom left side, same with any vehicle and crate inventories that are on the green square.

What's the best moneymaker mission?
>>
>>738654541
The mission with the police checkpoint on the highway has two crates that always have ~2k credits each and it's a short mission so you just go in with an MG and a single LAW/RPG for the one APC and you make 4k in maybe 5 minutes.
The big weapons are for vehicle mounts
>>
>>738654749
Vilutian Promenade if you don't have any heavier weapons, there is one crate that can spawn with 2k and you can kill the bussinesmenn for around 100-200 creds each.
Vandenberg can get you like 4-5k per run if you have a reliable way to take care of the one APC there.
Sinkhole offers the best reward moneywise if you make it all the way through, I think it's around 20-30k but you have to destroy a bunch of upgunned liliputters, but they mostly have .22 and 9mm weapons so if you have an armored vehicle they shouldn't pose too big of a threat.

Corvids are more like a class and in some ways an ethnic group considering their general standing. Wherever there is poverty and junkyards there will be Corvids scrounging around and slapping shit together to make a buck. Hence the weaponized staplers and discount grease guns laying around the show. Think of it like how Spacers are an entirely separate group from everyone else. NEPs are generally planet bound loyalists of Novo Solo and even Great Leader's banana republic wasn't the only people on the planet at the time. You had the rival nation of Eixos that serves mostly as background filler and the rest of the planet is just endless jungles. Because both settlements are glorified concrete domes meant to keep the wildlife out.

makes me wonder what sort of situation you'll end up using it in, an actual mechanic or just a one off item from a campaign mission that just just threw into the sandbox?
>>
>>738658208
I wish I could throw the Bluetongue on it, but it goes over the weight limit by one, a lot of the mounted weapons have a problem where they are just a bit too heavy to be used on lighter vehicles and get overshadowed by the heavier weapons so no sense in mounting them on larger vehicles either.
I found out that Disco+RPG is a pretty solid combo for it, haven't had any trouble clearing any maps with that loadout and the cells are so light and ubiquitous that you will never run out of ammo.

>>
>>738659389
Yeah, loader panel van with two large crates and a small crate carries a total of 1400 weight and is pretty easily attainable
>>
>>738659389
yeah, convert it to carry two large boxes on top of the small one it can carry by default and vacuum all the loot, it also comes with the added bonus of allowing you to do it without leaving the van, unlike the default van
>>
>>738657808
>model swap so you can run as the police, yellow jackets or corvids for different buffs like better stealth or slightly higher health from a hardened ballistic vest
It would give you an incentive to not main the carmine suit beyond the ability to pilot mechs. If you put so much work into the running around on foot stage having some more options to lean into that wouldn't hurt.
>>
>>738659389
On top of what the other Anons already said, buying anything that comes in a crate at the black market will net you 10x carrying capacity for the loader van since the black market crates have 5000kg capacity instead of 500kg

Wew time to start buying then. It's a shame you can't sell or scrap all that inventory fodder that you will end up collecting. Nobody is going to use 70k+ worth of 22. in their lifetime so being able to melt this crap down into something useful would be nice. You can sell the parts and ammo types the black market trader also sells to you, but it's very limited currently.
They are apparently going to add more traders into the game with varying inventories (some for small arms, some for vehicles, etc) so you can sell all of that crap.
Would not mind a system for scrapping and manufacturing your own ammo and limited variety of scrap weapons either.

Being able to access or just unload crates from a vehicle when you're outside of the vehicle would be a nice QOL change. Would also presumably make backpacks a lot less annoying to use.
I don't actually mind the limitation of having to get out of the vehicle to dig through crates, and that might actually end up being a balancing component once there's more use for the really heavy ammo types (can't just use crates as ammo feeds on lighter vehicles with limited ammo space), but the flow of unload crate -> get out of car -> open crate could do with some polish.
>>
>>738666829
finally found ammo for it, just seems to be some form of cannon
>>
>>738680296
You can unload crates out of a vehicle when outside of them, just open the vehicles inventory, click on the crate and drop it on the outside of the inventory screen to drop it on the ground.
>>
>>738680296
I'm not 100% sure if I'm just doing it wrong sometimes or if there really is a difference, but it seems like you can access crates inside vehicles when you're interacting with the loadout thing at base. Maybe that will be the behavior all of the time at some point.
>>
>>738680283
you can only refill the shields once per level change, excluding the level you start in.
it can still be quite useful in the sinkhole for example and it does mean you won't have to spend materials on fixing your vehicle since the shields will be taking the beating instead.
no clue what the point of the shields on the dromon rig are though, considering how common medical items are, it just seems like an almost all around worse carmine rig since you can't really heal.
>>
>>738680973
The loadout inventory does allow you to access the crates inside the vehicles, probably so you can dump all of your crap easier.
I think the difference there is intended so you can't just replenish your ammo pool too easily while on a mission.

On foot or in a mech you use Ctrl to crouch and aim better/see farther. Vehicle weapon accuracy is currently dogshit by design because cars have the same stats regardless of who's driving and in previous builds people kept getting shredded by pinpoint-accurate APCs before they had a chance to get a shot off. I think they're planning to separate it out so that the mounted weapon accuracy penalty only applies to the AI.

>Like where do I get the "lil chassis" or whatever the fuck they called it?
the merchant, you need a lot of money (like 8k to 25k credits depending on the vehicle) and a loader van to carry it though.
>And where can I find motorcycles?
I've seen a few during later missions, I think the Promenade was the earliest where I saw one
>>
>>738690071
There are a lot of them in one of the later missions, the red light district one

>>
>>738689886
It's also generally more zoomed in but the sprites are not that much higher resolution, and the zoom is dynamic so it's not always going to have consistent pixel sizing
>>
>>738690260
>what merchant?
I forgot the exact name but there's a mission named something like "Merchant Castaway" where you can trade with a merchant before you have to make your getaway across a bridge, he sells a bunch of vehicle "kits" which are essentially crates containing everything you need to build said vehicle.
also you get a carmine rig during one of the earlier missions which is basically an armored exo-suit in itself (100 health and better damage resistance), so you don't really need to worry about getting a mech asap
>>
>>738690260
I was able to do wilderness by kicking through the fence north of the gas station where you spawn, killing the guards around there while running away from any APCs. Once all the guards are dead you can sneak a car through the hole in the fence you made, use the elevator to spawn in a van or something else that can carry 200+ to get the carmine. There's also a large crate in a security fence area there with good shit in it if you can get the APC to chase you away and then come back with your van or whatever to get that stuff too.
>>
>>738690014
I wrote off the cinderblock at first but I actually think it's great for sinkhole runs, it has the most carrying capacity of the rigs and you don't need multiple weapon slots since every floor is the same kind of short range infantry combat so you can just blow through shit real fast.

It's like the sixth mission or something, it's a retrieval type and it says "carmine rig" in the description. Be warned there's like five APCs on the map that can shred you so bring at the very least a 50 cal rifle to plink at them from out of their range (you can get one on the car dealership level)

I forgot about the dorothy also. Had cool lore with it too.

>But while it costs nearly as much to maintain as the Buckmaster, the Dorothy earned a reputation after Corporal Chet Govender stumbled back from the Bolero Wells ambush, only survivor of an attack that wiped out a full Mog patrol and their Touro support. When in combat with powersuits the enemy expects a peppering of 8mm, not the 40mm slugs from a Duchess. They found an entire highway exit ramp crowded with Rolstons that Govender had eliminated single-handedly.
>>
>>738697227

>>738696834
Basically getting any more advanced weapons or armor has massive diminishing returns for cost so while the ultra rich like the spacers have anti-grav and crazy energy weapons on everything everyone else who doesn't have a bottomless wallet continues to make do with conventional equipment.
There's also the factor of Solo Nobre, the planet where the games take place, being a pretty resource poor planet in the middle of nowhere likely just didn't get many particularly great engineers or scientists on their colony ships so they might be stuck at a way lower manufacturing level and using whatever garbage they can buy off smugglers.

FTL travel is based on lucid dreaming psychics who stay in such intense states that the body essentially dies off around them. Eventually through the use of technology the head is preserved in a Futurama styled jar. These heads end up serving as AI cores for mining and leisure stations since general AI technology has effectively stagnated. While maintaining the life support systems they begin to lose touch and start becoming catatonic from their elevated states of consciousness.

There are cases in the universe where one of these stations will suddenly depressurize killing the inhabitants onboard while the brain at the helm enters a catatonic state. Leading them to either drifting aimlessly into space or flying themselves into stars.

The original pioneers relied on AI to guide them which caused the first starships to fly through planets and suns. Because their onboard computers couldn't keep up with the rigorous strains of extended space travel. They tried drugging pilots to stay awake before moving onto to a rotating human daisy chain. Cycling them out for the longer jumps to the outer colonies. The use of pilots entering RMT dream states to drive the ships was after many years of trial and error.

>>
>>738709852
The Penpal does hurt them, but it takes several shots to disable the things, I think it takes about 7 or so shots? Directional damage is a thing too, shooting the front will deal less damage. For bullets, basically any bullets bigger than 5.56 will do noticeable damage to them. 5.56 might work, but it'd probably take too much focus fire. There's also energy weapons, like the Kalastaja the guy above mentioned.
Obviously there's explosives too, but if you're doing wilderness for the first time to get the carmine rig it's not guaranteed you'll have them. All I had at the time was an m79, and HE alone doesn't really do much against armour.
>>
>>738709852
yeah the fiddy cal is actually pretty bad against vehicles. unironically the bog rifle is better
>>
I made an upgunned pedo van. It sucks ass. No matter what gun I mount, it NEVER hits. Trued being slick and mounted the penpal, but most of the time it doesn't shoot, and when it does, it goes wherever. This is not the case when using the guns on foot.
Can someone explain aiming mechanics to me? Or are vehicle guns just fucked right now.
>>
>>738710340
Nah the Cut Fifty makes short work of them, it's just that for .50BMG you need sustained fire for the high dps, which snipers obviously can't do
>>
>>738709852
Brigador rules still apply. If you hit them from behind they're die pretty quick to most guns, use energy weapons too.

>>

>>
>>738710395
There's two things that make aiming with vehicles weird:
>Height
The turret thing on the panel van (and others) is high enough above ground to sometimes not hit stuff that's too close or too low. Either back up, or if they're lying prone just wait for them to get up
>Crosshair/reticle alignment
Brigador has this weird quirk where usually the guns won't point exactly at where the crosshair is, but rather very slightly to the sides of it. Not too noticeable when you're a big mech shooting other big mechs, but for infantry combat, I definitely notice something funky. I think that transferred over to Brigador Killers, I've found that while the manual lock on works well in most cases, sometimes it's better to aim slightly past an enemy so the line goes through them (you'll need to disable the auto lock on so you can do this).
>>
>>738710395

i wouldn't use sniper rifles on vehicles, because when you get aggro you just become a gigantic bullet sponge that can't realistically shoot back because sniper weapons take a very long time to re-gain accuracy and don't get any of the bonuses from crouching on foot
>>
>>738679652
>>738680296
>Being able to access or just unload crates from a vehicle when you're outside of the vehicle would be a nice QOL change.
I have some bad news anons. You CAN do that if you get the pedo van and upgrade it to a loader version. That one can haul 2 LG and 1 SM crate. It allows you to loot bodies (other tabs than just the ground) while driving the truck. The model of the truck has a robotic hand inside of it meaning the QoL you guys want may be locked behind vehicles with industrial robo hands.
I just want to have a button that lets me to quick transfer items without having to drag and drop. Like Hover item -> press F->item changes inventories.

>Also is the Sawbuck worth getting if I have the Mongoose?
Sawbuck's weapon slots are 65kg each, there's some good shit in the 51-65 range. Also since it doesn't dual-wield you can aim and you don't have to deal with the weapon offsets causing you to miss targets you're locked on to. The only real downside is no shields, so you have to go farm Chop Shop for repair parts every few runs.

Went to Steam forums and dev said that the workaround to this is to salvage the machine and build a new one, so I'll take it's a bug then.
>>
>>738711105
I've done a couple 'no survivors' runs, and here's my general strategy if don't have a mech:
1. Weapons that can pierce body armour are a must, about 80% of those cops have heavy armour, if you try to use 5.56, it'll take too long and five other dudes WILL rush or snipe you. Get a gun with a good firerate, mag size, and penetration. Some sort of anti-armour is a given, but you don't need to enter the mission with too much, it's fucking raining rocket launchers anyway for you to scavenge. Bring a LAW or two, or an RPG with a couple extra HEAT rockets to deal with the APCs near the start of the level, then scavenge rockets from there.
2. Range is your main edge against all those enemies. Don't just rush in, take your time to steady your gun, so if they rush you, you're far enough away to take down a couple of them, if you can spot them, try to prioritize dude with the sniper rifles or RPGs, you can try grabbing one of their Penpals for picking them off from afar, but you risk getting rushed. Scout ahead with binoculars often, if there's an APC, start by shooting a rocket at it first to either disable or soften it up, prioritize the rear/sides. If you have even the slightest suspicion that you're going to be outgunned, just reposition.
3. Don't stay in your vehicle for too long, it's a big, slow target that doesn't even have good accuracy, you can bring a van with you to haul loot, but when the mission starts get out of it.
There's a bit of a coinflip too, since the left entrance has basically no cover, and enemies spawn closer to you, whereas the right side is usually near something you can at least hide behind to break line of sight.

>you can sell the stuff the merchant sells, just bring it in a van and park it on the thing then go to the item and click sell instead of buy, you can make fuckloads of money just selling simple and complex parts if you have hundreds sitting around
>the cyborg melee guys in the dromon suit hideout have corvid legs, the grey textured power suit guy who spawns on the chop shop sometimes drops loyalist legs
>if your late game and want to farm money I think the best or at least most fun way is to run sinkhole, you get a cash prize at the end of it thats worth around 15k and you can rush through the layers quickly

I think the hardest seed I got for the sinkhole was when the cops eventually started getting APCs and the corner camping scavs with their 4 gauge shotguns.

With the premise of this game being you're part of a group of Solo Nobrean survivors that are doing terrorism against the Brigadors and the SNC from the first game are you essentially gated out of the big crazy/expensive shit? I liked the Loyalist and Corvid vehicles but Spacer vehicles were my shit, and I can't imagine some dirt poor scrap hacker even being able to use their tech.

>>738645131
some manner of free roam, you select a mission, drive out into mar nosso, navigate to a location relevant to the mission and then it takes you to the mission and once it's done you have to get back to a safe house, means you have to stealth or race your way to and from your ops

I bet they implement a separate fuel slot with its own weight limit and the fuel ticks down with distance travelled
>>
>>738713335
I'm pretty sure they're bringing in whatever they can adapt to the new scale.
>>
>>738713248
Is it used for anything right now?
>>
>>738713812
I'm not certain that getting in bigger rides won't just scale the game out. Perhaps they've already stated that isn't going to happen, but that's what I assumed.
>>
>>738713248
Isn't fuel in the ammo slot? I expect molotovs and flamethrowers.
>>
Carmine suit upgrade made me feel powerful so I was trying to run up and machine gun APC's point blank from behind. Got one doing this but another got the turret around in time, if you get hit enough you get knocked down and can't do anything.
>>
>>738714020
Could you kneel in order to get out of reach of the turret?
>>
>>738714020
the knockdown is hilarious with cinderblock as well. who knew that taking a million bullets to everywhere on your body while you are uh... jet suit skating? would knock you the fuck down lol
>>
>>738713852
The first mission is pretty big but I don't think it the scale is as big as the first game's. I think it's safe to assume that's as big as it'll go.
>>
>>738713335
>>738713812
>>738714151
Considering we have shit that doesn't even fit on the Rounder, I think it's safe to say the scale will eventually go up to Ultra-class vehicles.

Just got the Cinderblock and I love it, it kind of feels like driving a speedy a-grav. I've been using the Talkback laser sniper to play hit and run with it.

>>738640941
>>738642826
The Dromon has a large weapon slot, bigger even than the Cindeblock. In fact it's the exact weight needed to use the Black Hand. That plus the increased zoom seems to suggest it's meant for a stealthier playstyle.
>>
What is actually the point of hardpoints if I can't even mount SML class weapons on them?
>>
>>738711286
had the same issue but I've been able to repair vehicles if they lose some more health.
>>
Is suppression tied to caliber? 5.56 doesn't do it. But I found an HK51 and even with the 20 round mag and two shot bursts to conserve ammo suddenly entire squads will hit the dirt just because 7.62 is flying by them.

Even the massive powersuits you find in the dromon lairs and sinkhole get knocked on their asses by just 7.62 bullets, it's pretty funny. Hope it gets tuned down though, those supposedly tougher enemies basically aren't a threat when you can stunlock them. There was one instance where I was in the sinkhole and got surrounded by two dudes in cinderblock powersuits, and got stunlocked by the two of them circling me and knocking me over with their auto-shotguns until I died.

>those supposedly tougher enemies basically aren't a threat when you can stunlock them
They aren't supposed to be all that tough, there just aren't a lot of different types of enemy units in the game yet.
I feel like these types of enemies are supposed to become the basic cannon fodder at later game.

You can get a guaranteed RPG from scrapyard

>>

It's alright, the devs will make yet another long whiny post about how they had a lack of sunlight making this amazing game.
>>
>>738716552
You need larger hardpoints for larger weapons, they go all the way to x-large which have a weight limit of around 550 iirc

If one of the brothers are lurking this thread for brownie points we need a Corvid suit pronto. The cyan fullface helmet and a spray painted racing suit from the enemies themselves is a must have. Say it gives you a global speed buff across the board due to huffing all that aerosol between missions like a madlad.

have you noticed bk has randomization to some of the levels? more than just the spawns
>>
for me it's the betushka
>>
>>738721440
the randomization is quite shallow, but yes, I have noticed that it's there.
sometimes there are roadblocks, sometimes there aren't, sometimes those roadblocks are occupied by the police, sometimes by the corvids.
there are also spawn points that sometimes spawn vehicles, sometimes don't, also the vehicles that do spawn are randomized.
then there are a couple of events like corvid arms deals going on that don't always spawn in.
it's nothing that seriously affects the gameplay or adds anything major to the replayability of the maps, but i guess it works as a proof of concept for randomization.

The only thing that I don't think is working as intended is the fact that you can get the 5000kg crates from the black market, but I have no clue how they would "fix" that since that capacity is required to fit all of the parts in a single crate.
>>
>>738723323
Such as? That fuckhuge merchant crate might take a hit since the devs outright said somewhere on steam forums about still figuring out the inventory system and how to approach that. The only other thing that comes to mind is strapping a crate onto a Mongoose, which can then be put into the van.

the police are corrupt as fuck and majority of them are actually gang members
>>
>Brigador got boring quickly

I might give it a go, the ability to go on foot and steal different vehicles/make your own monstrosities might be just what the first game was missing.
>>
>>738723427
>but I have no clue how they would "fix" that since that capacity is required to fit all of the parts in a single crate.
Turn the items into a singular item (name it packed parts or someshit like that) that fits the crate slots that gets turned into all the parts when you put it in your garage inventory
>>
>>738724770
Good thinking. They could just make it like what they've done with the rigs minus the auto assembly.
>>
>>738724041
I think that's just from a lack of levels/missions to spread out all the weapons, combined with the drop tables basically giving you a really solid .45 ACP smg pretty much right from one of the first enemies, and that tutorial mission just handing you a shotgun. Some more missions at the start when you don't have much could help steady the gear progression and give you the chance to use those more scrappy guns more.
Come to think of it, that tutorial mission would've been a good excuse to demonstrate the stealth mechanic if it limited you more
>You start with no weapons, just binoculars, so you're incognito
>You have to find a crate with a Liberator pistol and a couple rounds, and use that to take out a corvid and loot a less shitty gun
>But you have to be selective, because the incognito status drops the moment you draw/fire the pistol
>>
I know the game is still in beta, but man i wish the inventory management can be a little bit less dogshit. Was it really necessary to drop your bag first if you wanna access its content?

Stalker tarkov etc has spoiled me with their inventory QoL features
