>Twilight Princess PC port out of nowhereWHAT? Who the fuck? How the fuck
>>738637534It's the gc version you uninformed swine
>>738637572Then why does it have gyro controls
@chatgpt turn this iso into an executable
>>738637605they programmed it into the game since as a decompilation port they can basically program whatever they want in there so long as they put in the effort and understanding
what the hell do you mean out of nowhere we've had months in advance of drip feed updates
>>738637534Best Zelda
>>738637750I basically don't know until games until they're out, and sometimes not even then. I only just today found out that Frogun got a sequel. Two years ago, apparently.
>>738637572>gc versionin the trash it goes
>>738637534I want dragon's crown port
>>738637534Some no life losers did a better job making a pc port than a billion dollar company
>>738637534>>738637572>>738637623>>738637678>>738638381Piracy is a crime.
>>738638525How the fuck is this piracy
>>738638434They also have infinite time to do so though
>>738638685And next to 0 money to invest into it
>>738638685How so?
>>738637534>>738638243With stuff like this it's not uncommon to keep it a secret until it's completely finish so Nintendo can't stop your work mid-development. Like that Pokemon Uranium hack or AM2R. Once that shit gets dropped onto the Internet there's literally nothing Nintendo can do about it
Awesome, now we get to watch out favorite streamers play rando runs.
>>738639089AM2R was pretty well known years before the official release. He even brought a lot of attention to it by doing a countdown to the final release and yet Nintendo suspiciously only shut it down a few days after it released.
>>738638326The game has mirror mode for you waggle enthusiasts and the QOL features from the Wii U version accessible in-game mods from the menu
>>738639024they started 6 years ago
>>738639215>wii u qolWhere is my extra quick slot? I even chose “Dusk” mode for the enhancements
>>738639246So did Pragmata
>>738637750I don't know I feel like it went from looking completely broken to 100% done at breakneck pace
>>738638525So arrest me faggotYeah you ain't doing shit lol now sit down
>>738639246Untrue, the decomplication only finished a couple of months ago. The port could only start at that point.
Anyone else having an issue where it doesnt preload textures and objects and there's a flash beforehand for things to load?
>>738639565Why does it take so long to decompile a 20 year old game?
>>738640678Because zelda fans aren’t as usefully autistic as sonic fans.
>>738640915Isn't Sonic 06 like... also only just recently getting decompiled?
>>738639169Are you implying that Nintendo actually wanted it to be released and waited for him to be done before they shut it down? Like maybe they thought it would bring more hype for their own Metroid 2 remake which as I recall was announced shortly after AM2R released?
since when was this in work? Also where can i get it?
>>738637534It's been WIP for months...
>>738641187Its completely playable when I ran through it on my steam deck last… december, maybe? They also JUST started working on it like last year. Unleashed is also a project that was started and finished very quickly and recently. As opposed to say… Paper Mario 64 which still doesn’t have a port despite being decomped for years now.
>>738637534It’s an old ass game
>>738638381Symphony of the Night port when?Conker's Bad Fur Day port when?
>>738641559I gotta admit I'm confused about what these decompilations even do, I get it for a PS3 game because PS3 emulation still requires a pretty powerful computer but N64 emulation is pretty accessible for everyone and there are a bunch of romhacked N64 games and all that, so why would Paper Mario need a PC port?
>>738638525No physical good stolen = not theft. Simple as.
>>738641898It's mostly done as a relatively simple project to keep your programming-socks-coder from an hero'ing for another few weeks. They say it's about mods but the mods tend to be fewer and less adventurous than the ones that already existed for the emulated version. Mostly they are a total irrelevance that takes more effort to run for less purpose than just emulating.
>>738640678>Why does it take so long to decompile a 20 year old game?Depending on how it was coded it can be absolutely brutal. Like if it's mostly C or very light C++ the ghidra output is fairly close to usable right from the getgo and it's just a matter of going through it and labelling all the variables and function calls. But if it's heavy C++ with loads of classes with public/private/protected members and loads of overloaded methods and virtual functions that get implemented by derived classes... it's absolute death and you'll be at it for months.
>>738642114how'd the jak and daxter autists pop out all three games as pc ports
>>738642557is 3 finished yet?
So let me get this straight, they say "you need to rip an ISO from your own copy to play this", but how would they even check that? Couldn't people just use any ISO for it?
>>738642727jesus
>>738642836Yes, my child?
>>738642727Anon they just say that to cover their asses in regards to piracy
>>738643347So all you have to do is get an iso from somewhere and you can play the game immediately?
>>738643449Yes
>>738641898Decompiled games are easier to make mods for. Take the Jak and Daxter one for example. That game has a fairly decent amount of mods now because of the PC port, when beforehand it had basically zero romhacks made for it. Stuff like playing as Mario from SM64 in Jak 1 would not have been done if both games didn't have decompilation efforts
>>738642604yeah since last month
>>738642557from what I understand the Jak games used a custom coding language that was very heavily notated. because they weren't just using stock c/c++ code so they left a lot of comments about what they were doing. and they were able to piece it together from that.
i just want a fucking switch 2 release.
>>738644079Why the fuck would they release a Jak game on the Switch 2
@chatgpt suck my dick
>>738637534dolphin is more stable and you have quicksaves
>>738638525Modern copyright is also a crime.
>>738642727why do I need an iso? that means they didn't decompile shit
>>738644230The assets are copyrighted.Their code is original. They need the assets from somewhere.Presumably anyway, I have done zero research.
