They just slapped a UE5 layer ontop of an ancient engine that is still prone to crash and a game that badly needed some actual redesign work like overhauling the level scaling, loot system, dungeon layout and adding some love to the melee combat like actual didmemeberment and other cool stuff. It's also not as easy to mod and they didn't even give out proper tools. At this point it's just better to wait for skyblivion so things from skyrim can be ported over at least.

Oblivion was always bad, even in 2006. Everyone memory holed themselves to how bad it was just because they remastered it, or they simply weren't alive or sentient when it came out.

It's literally not. There is a fuck ton that was changed even before you get to the model and texture changes. Male and Female character models now consistently use just the male armor sets. Several statues all across the world had their busts removed and/or their depictions changed. One even breaks a lore blurb with the Night Mother. She sacrifices 5 of her children to Sithis, the stone slab depicting this was changed to 4. The entirety of the gameplay was also changed that it's mechanically a very different game as well, but that would take even longer to explain.

I agree that the difference between normal and one tick up is too much, but just like the original, the game expects you to know how to take advantage of its systems to actually deal damage (poison, weakness spells, enchants, conjuration). so a difficulty mode that still feels like somewhat of a challenge even if you master the systems does feel nice to have

hell no. there being almost no difference between major/minor skills is objectively worse. your class doesnt matter and you dont get to RP anything. you can simply do everything with ease and you'll be leveling so quickly that you'll be skipping entire armor tiers.

I know its purely visual. But it adds a lot more weight to the combat then the original.
The two handed problem should have been fixed with a flat buff to the damage on two handed weapons but its a minor issue.

I installed a mod reducing minor skill XP to 25% and it still felt too fast. you will gain levels simply running/walking around even if you didnt pick acrobatics/athletics. it's retarded. magic leveling quicker the higher your level gets is retarded as well. this shit is indefensible.
