I have sources within Bungie that spoke directly to me. You are free to believe me or not, but I'll post what I was told after the Sony Impairment Loss and the fiscal reports.1) Bungie wants to fully committ to Marathon, and feels like there's a lot of potential for it. That doesn't mean Destiny 3 is not coming. The studio is very happy with early results and sees strong possibilities of growth.2) The general opinion within the studio is that, looking at internal data, it's not that Marathon scared players away as much as progression felt to steep from midgame onwards, especially for a game with seasonal wipes. Bungie wants to course correct that. There's an internal debate on what should be the various steps in player progression and how to smooth up the curve. The gap between blue and purple gear especially, dictated by purple salvage, is where several players stopped playing entirely. The buffs to in-game events and Pinwheel loot is certainly here to stay, and and the free enhanced sponsored kits are currently under testing to decide wheter or not they will become the baseline free kit3) Bungie wants to release a new UESC Marathon map mid-season 2. This is being tested for 6 player teams and a lot more similar to a Destiny raid, but with PVP. Similarly to Cryo Archive, it will have some baseline requirements and gear ante to access.4) CRADLE will come with a series of new free skins. There's also unique implants that will come from Supply Drops. Two new guns area the Devastator hand cannon (MIPS) and the TOZT-7 napalm launcher (Napalm canister)

>>738655063>committYou're full of shit and a faggot.
>>738655063>progression felt to steep from midgame onwards, especially for a game with seasonal wipes. This is true. After knocking out the first story missions, which there aren't many of (Arachne has only 1?) you basically hit a wall. You go from early quick progress to turbo ultra endgame and there's no way to cross that distance other than spamming Rook garbage picking runs.
>The studio is very happy with early resultsLol. There's exactly 0% chance this is true. But let's assume for the sake of argument that this is true. They would have to be the biggest, blindest, stupidest, most retarded motherfuckers on to walk on this planet for them to actually think this. Which, if I think about it...is kinda on brand and within the realm of possibility for Bungie, because they have proven time and again that they were beyond retarded. So now I'm not so sure anymore.
Blastsisters, it's not over yet
>>738655365It is the one claim you should have no doubts about. Bungie has been humoring a new Marathon game for 20 years. They care about it a lot more than a potential Destiny 3.

>>738655063>2)I think the big issue here is that purple shit basically only exists on Outpost and Cryo and the differences between Perimeter/Dire Marsh and those are massive. The first two you can just play like any other extraction shooter, roaming around looting and extracting when you want, but Outpost you pretty much have to play the key game for Pinwheel to get real loot and you almost always have to fight for an extract because there's fewer available at once and it's always either carded or guarded, and Cryo is that times ten. It's basically the difference between playing extraction shooter maps and playing battle royale maps, if you're only interested in the extraction shooter aspect then you stop having fun after Marsh.

The first two you can just play like any other extraction shooter, roaming around looting and extracting when you wantTechnically they did change that, you can now get higher tier loot on those maps, but only through map events (Lockdown, Warden, that one event in Perimeter). So you could theoretically play it as a slow paced extraction shooter, or go in geared up to do a map event to get better loot Problem is those maps are mostly populated by new players and those trying to do contracts so if they run into a geared up team that's there for the event they'll get pulverized

They're throwing shit at Marathon because Sony cracked down on them and showed them the writing is on the wall at how pissed they are they bought them only for them to do absolutely fuckall this entire time. In a final move of desperation they went crawling back to one of their first titles because...they don't actually have anything else and Halo isn't their responsibility. They think going back to a literal who title will save them and it's not even a title people remembered them for.To put it into perspective, imagine one day Nintendo finally decides to let Retro make their own game and give them a deadline for doing so. They have 3 years to produce something not Metroid DK. How fucked are they?
>>738655063unfuck the knife and WSTR back to the state that they were originally and then we'll see
>>738660086>In a final move of desperation they went crawling back to one of their first titlesA Marathon reboot had been in the works for years, nobody forced them
>>738660139>It has been years since Sony tried suing them for control because of their lack of production. In fact it lines up right around the time this shit show started getting worked on
>>738658825>purple shit basically only exists on Outpost and Cryo? Just level up your factions. From level 20 and up all of them give you purple gear. I've never done cryo and my vault is full with purple crap
>>738660093Why? That sounds like a bad idea. Everyone would be bringing a WSTR again. And you can still do great damage with the melee, you just need to build into it.
>>738660827Building fucking sucks and I want to waste as little time doing it. And the changes only helped the sweats, not the poorfags like me
>>738659990I'm surprised they still pay you to astroturf this game 2 months after release.
>>738661072>Building fucking sucks and I want to waste as little time doing it.I agree. Sometimes I just buy a kit instead of using what I have, despite my vault overflowing, simply because Picking out implants is a chore. They all look the fucking same, you need to mouse over them and read the effects. This is the worst aspect of the game by far.
>>738659676This, Bungie is way too incompetent to have something as big as this in the works without announcing it half a year prior.
>>738655797No, they don't. Bungie cares about not getting shut down by Sony, and Sony cares about money. Regardless of "player engagement" the overall SALES of Marathon were low COMPARED to the development BUDGET. That means they LOST money. The population for Marathon is NOT going to increase going forward no matter what changes Bungie makes. Why? Because Marathon is, at its core, a sweaty extraction shooter with seasonal wipes. A VERY niche genre that appeals to a NARROW group of players. Bungie should and probably is refocusing all their development assets to either a Destiny 3 or a new IP. Sony would prefer a fresh Destiny cash cow.
>>738661230Interestingly enough, it's mainly the weapon mods that are the fucking worst and are the biggest factor of wasting timeThe rest, like picking out already assembled weapons, shields, cores, and whatnot are not so bad. Even though they should not have designed cores AND implants in the base game, because they are alike in terms of readability and vagueness. They should've combined some of that dumb shit. But the weapon mods design makes me want to slam my head into a wall, or preferably into a bungo dev's chest cavity.
>>738661639>Interestingly enough, it's mainly the weapon mods that are the fucking worst and are the biggest factor of wasting timeYeah, some of them are worthless. And you can't buy the good ones in the armory, either.

>>738662521>>738662793impairment would involve a lot more than just what profit marathon made, but I'd imagine with IP's being a large part of their assets it's still significant. essentially though it means if they tried to sell bungie off right now, no one in their right mind would pay what they bought it for. not really a good look either way; they were basically forced to admit they bought a lemon.
>>738658621>WHERES THE CONTENTThis. I love the game, but I'm now bored of playing the same three maps over and over. If they don't flip the table on their roadmap and release another two or three maps in the next month or two I won't bother.

>>738666284because they shed 95% of buyers already with barely 50k DAU, so those 5% that stuck with the game clearly love it as is and will play anyway, they should be sending those as emails to everyone who bought the game instead and ask more questions about what made them quit and what would make em come back, as well as having some focus groups not made out of fucking dudebro streamers
>>738655063>a lot of potentialI heard this like 50 times already
>>738666751>having some focus groups not made out of fucking dudebro streamerswhat were they thinking with the streamer wanking anyway
>>738666708>>738666751On one hand, I get that. On the other, where/when are they getting this new audience (from)? Might as well ask who you can now.
>>738666816The only way they could get a new audience would be to make new, casual friendly content like PVE modes. Problem is, they don't have time (it would take half a year at least) and the guy in the charge of the game has an autustic hardon for it only ever being 3v3 hardcore PVP.
>>738666808They were thinking that traditional press and reviewers were shit, and that extraction shooters were growing mostly on the backs of those streamers. Out of all the stupid shit they did, there's at least some logic here. Unfortunately they failed to get, well, fucking any of them. Juts some low level destiny 2 streamers. And the tuning they're currently making for those streamers will not help the game at all, and make shit worse.
>>738662574In this case, they attempted to retain the talent. Even spent over a billion dollars to do so. The head of bungie took hundereds of millions of that and bought classic cars on online auctions to show them off.>>738662135Porque no los dos? The entire studio is compromised, but in this case they also drove off key talent, like Marty's original plan for Marathon before they Metooed him, and wasted millions and millions of dollars, like giving millions to Yale to research rendring hair for black people...which they ended up not using, and to the SPLC to try to shut this place down. The game was weak content, maps, and could use more everything.
>>738659000>>738659652>>738659907Now that we have financials, we know that Tassi's estimates were at the low end and the hole is way fucking bigger. 250m dev budget. 50m marketing budget. 50m retail revenue. losing a few million every month. This is Skull and Bones and Concord territory.Marathon is currently the undisputed bomb of the goddam year. It lost more money than Highguard, Metroid Prime 4 AND the canceled unreleased POP reboot's entire budgets combined. I don't think any other game has a serious chance of beating it for bomb of the year if nothing else, because their budgets aren't big enough to lose that much money. >>738659381 Fiscal year ended 2 weeks or so after launch. Steam CCUs were about 5 times what they are now.
>>738658284>>738655945Extrapolating from Steam rev ratings, Marathon's MTX levels are completely fucking terrible. Sony for it's part announced a competing free to play extraction shooter, which is a strong sign of no confidence. Also, the big sale that they had got them no noticable bump in buys. The normal move would be to park it in maintainace mode and shut the whole thing down. Still, F2P is a real possibility. Check at the end of next season.
>>738669479>bomb of the yearIf you define it in terms of 'maximum amount of money lost,' then it's probably Marathon unless this new moviegame from Supermassive (that came out today) really flops, because that one was in development for years and years.>>738669790>F2P is a real possibilityI don't think F2P will do anything. Remember the free playtest they did before launch? They couldn't even get 150k CCU when it was free to anyone, and then they lost 60% of those players by the second day.F2P would probably get the numbers back above 25-40k, but the game would become irrecoverably infested with cheaters who would shit all over it. And even without cheaters, F2P games live or die by their MTX, and nobody gives a fuck about Marathon's MTX.

>>738673831Based on their most recent investor report, yes. Studio japan made money...and they shut it down. Ghost of Yotei made money, and a big part of that was keeping costs under control. 50 m budget. Shit was so bad that they didn't bother touting any big successes. They literally blamed the big drop on Bungie, not just in the text but on the powerpoint charts. All their profitability is via third party live service, like fortnite bucks and shark cards. >Aren't they also out of money with their stock trading so bad they're one more scandal away from insolvency? They cut a deal with Tencent, to sell a big chunk of their shit for ONE more big AAA cycle. And they won't go insolvent. They'll be forced to sell to Tencent. But Heros of Might and magic old style will probably make money! >>738674231Yeah, I know Sony's gaming group only makes money because they're basically Valve for console players and take storefront fees.I wonder if they're planning another big restructuring behind the scenes to remove Hulst and close these underperforming studios. But at the same time, maybe it doesn't matter because Sony is going to make bank when GTA6 launches and PS5 is the only place to really play it. Those storefront fees for shark cards alone will let them afford another dozen Marathon sized flops.>UbisoftI checked their stock price and it actually went beneath $4/share a while back and has only now started climbing back up to $5/share. What is the potential growth for marathon? the gametype actively scares off users by reseting their progression to ZERO after a couple of months so it is like you never played it at all, better players with more skill/luck that get good gear will get into cryo faster which gives them gear that lets them dominate players that havent gotten that far which will make them stop, in the end you will only have the sweats left until they abandon the game because the matchmaking breaks (already starts with 10k players remaining)unless they remake the game FROM scratch, there is no way of saving the game, it is already in a death spiral

>>738679687It doesn't matter. Marathon movement and shooting are far superior to ApexIn Marathon when you learn how momentum works and how camera you are fluid and can master movement to much higher skill ceiling than Apex. In Apex you can ADAD with zero maluses to your aim and stability while mantaining the same exact speed basically always. In Marathon to do that you need specific Runner/weapon setups so the positioning and movement you do matter relatively to the kind of weapon and setup you are using. Unless you are a Vandal with amplify or a fast shell with cardio or an SMG you can't strafe-shoot like most modern shooters. In Marathon weapons have actual different gun behaviour and modifications that radically affect how they handle and work, it seems to be using classic Battlefield as inspiration. I can trade a very long aiming down sight time for having low recoil on a gun with a thermal sight and lock down a sightline and support more aggressive teammates. In Marathon you can't slow crawl immediately after getting downed so it is extra punishing to be careless and lose engagement in the open.In Marathon you have to decide wheter to shoot back or reposition quickly and can't do both unlike most shooters like modern Battlefield/Apex/Cod where you bounce like a rabbit and can spam powerslides while firing. Powersliding in Marathon is a dps tradeoff to close gaps and move fast through chokepoints, in Apex it's a spammable move.Marathon limits speed and regulates movement so that you have to constantly decide on what to prioritize and how to use your heat and when to fire and when to flee. A bad call makes you a sitting duck, just like badly using a weapon meant for a specific role. Marathon is literally too complex and old school while also being cursed by a shit presentation 2 years ago to be successful. The Apex vs Marathon comparison is perfect to higlight how radically different Marathon is to more casual games, even in PVP>>738679945Wrong
>>738681883good morning tahnit
>>738679757You are a COD zoomer getting filtered by meaningful positioning in fps lol
>>738655063nigger game is close to 10k players on average 2 months after release and it keeps going down, next month you'll hear layoff news and game will become vegetable after that
>>738682198Bungie doing layoffs during pride month would be hysterical, especially if their dei manager people were the ones getting laid off.
>>738655797if they cared they wouldn't make it a shitty online extraction meme shooter
>>738681883You sound like a sales person more than someone who actually enjoys videogames
>>738681883Thanks for proving my point why apex is better lmao
>>738683497And yet I can show playtime for all the games I talk about
>>738682194you said it had better movement. it does not. nowhere did you say meaningful postioning as if positioning isnt important in every single shooter, especially arena shooters and those guys MOVED. not slow ass clunky like in Marathon.
>>738683768>you said it had better movement. it does notYes it does
>>738683832quake has better movement and meaningful positioning and it doesnt move like a clunky ass console shooter.
>>738683497The irony of some joyless /v/irgin faggot replying to some post talking in detail about shooting mechanics that this poster does not enjoy games after dedicating his time to shitting on a game he hasn't played lol
>>738683915Neither does Marathon, So I guess it makes sense that both are dead and you indians play f2p trash like Apex
>>738684019>Neither does MarathonKEK. It does play exactly like some shitty console shooter from 2007. Also laughable you wrote up the garbage above as if high level cryo play isnt just bubble and grenade spam with shotty spam and swamp isnt anything but sniper rifle spam. KEK.
>>738684098>It does play exactly like some shitty console shooter from 2007.No it doesn't>Also laughable you wrote up the garbage above as if high level cryo play isnt just bubble and grenade spam with shotty spam and swamp isnt anything but sniper rifle spam. KEK.More buzzwords and uninformed nonsense from a retard that didn't play the game. If you want to dunk on the game don't use 4 weeks old dead meta, because Bungie can actually balance Marathon. Mention the 6 men stacks faggotry and chink cheaters
>meanwhile the "hardcore" marathon gameplay
>>738684189>No it doesn'tYes it does. The animations are ripped out of Destiny 2, it has that floaty console movement and aiming, like Destiny and it moves slow, slower than a lot of more recent games.>More buzzwords and uninformed nonsense from a retard that didn't play the game. If you want to dunk on the game don't use 4 weeks old dead meta, because Bungie can actually balance Marathon. Mention the 6 men stacks faggotry and chink cheatersLmao
Marathon (2026) is just a visually boring game, and I dont even understand how they managed to grab old Marathon and make it look this disconnected.I have an aching feeling that Bungie put a lot of the art designers responsible for The Nine, DSC, and Neomuna on Marathon because the resemblence is uncanny, although I do think the Deep Stone Crypt and he golden age faclities on Europa were some of the best designs they've made, but I just cant unsee the downgrade in Marathon and It's incredibly dumb.
>>738658342I was going to call you a retard based on your answers but nvm this just means marathon is gonna die faster
Marathon has now lost 87% of its players since launch
post yfw when DOOM won
You now remember that Bungie embargoed reviews to wait for cryo to drop, like that was going to change the game's trajectory at all.
The rape of Bungie cometh.
>>738687809It's even worse than that, because Bungie only asked journo sites to hold on reviews, they didn't force them. But being the clique faggots they are, all of those big sites said 'ok, we'll voluntarily wait.'>>738687827That wasn't what happened in this last earnings call?
tldrkys normie marketing faggot>lmao my epic normie marketed shitty copycutter game is "cared" about
>>738687876>That wasn't what happened in this last earnings call?Think of that as the beginning of the end. This will be a slow excruciating rape of Bungie. The community manager for Destiny has basically gone real quiet on twitter recently with very few tweets compared to what he usually posts, they know their end is coming. Marathon isn't financially stable enough to support the 400 developers working on it and they will be cutting heads by next quarter to try to make the losses look less bad to their investors. The earnings call was the usual peddling of a positive narrative to their shareholders and investors citing "good reviews" and "high retention" based on the first 3 weeks the game was out, which doesn't matter when you aren't even breaking even or even retaining enough players and are frequently recording impairment losses on a company you just paid a ridiculous sum for. Next stop on this rape train is layoffs, followed by desperate attempts to salvage one of their two ips or perhaps both but either attempt will be futile and then the final stop is being fully absorbed into other Sony studios with a ton more layoffs with Marathon and Destiny being shutdown or put into maintenance mode if they're lucky. The Bungie name will probably be no more than a marketing tool after that for Sony.
>>738688669Good explanation, Rape Lord. >The Bungie name will probably be no more than a marketing tool I'd love to see Sony license out the Destiny IP to someone who could do something fun with it. Not a full Destiny 3, but even a competently made single player campaign with co op, or some simple multiplayer game with a fun mechanic. And put it in Unreal instead of the clunky Tiger engine.
>>738658284I can't believe people are thinking this is anything but an organizational scam. Sony loves to watch.
>>738659000Lets do the numbers, shall we?Marathon is priced at $40.00 a unit. Lets assume every game sale translated into an additional $20.00 battle pass saleThe most liberal estimates put Marathon at moving 2,000,000 unitsPlatforms take 30%, but Sony owes Bungie and Steam gives a gradient return, I'll be generous and average it out to 15%That theoretically means that Bungie made a total of 102,000,000 dollars. That BARELY covers the fucking SALARY OF BUNGIE for ONE FUCKING YEAR which is roughly $90,000,000 a year. SALARY, not benefits, not insurance, not the fucking payroll tax, not the power, water, office supplies, fucking rent on their Seattle Tower offices, or their main fucking campus, their computers, all their software licenses, and everything else a business requires to operate. They're fucked. They literally cannot exist without Sony funneling money into their coffers to not default on whatever loans they took out in order to not collapse pre Sony purchase. The only think more bankrupt than Bungie's bank out is the good will of their once viciously loyal fanboys who once upon a time would have moved heaven and earth if Bungie let them color their gay little fucking self inserts the color black. And no, Sony won't take this lightly, not when the Sony gaming division has been the black sheep of the family for years.
>Destiny 2 already doing better numbers than MarathonImagine being a dev for this game lmaoComplete humiliation ritual
>>738689325And this happened after Bungie recently moved a lot of Destiny devs over to Marathon.Humiliation Ritual barely describes it.
>>738688948>The most liberal estimates put Marathon at moving 2,000,000 unitsThis is wrong btw. That ampere estimate included server slam players.
>>738655797>Bungie has been humoring a new Marathon game for 20 years. They care about it a lotThere is no one at Bungie left that even knows what Bungie is. It is all poojeet seat warmers now. No one from the original bungie is still around anon.
>>738678960Dead as Disco is kino.
>>738689871Man I'm glad social media wasn't a thing when I was 12. Imagine all my cringe immortalized online.
MARATHON IS FUCKING SAVED!!!
miss me yet?
>>738690178No, because you started this live service cancer trend in Sony and killed Japan Studio as a final fuck you before you quit
BDF status?
Bungie Gunplay
Is extremely overrated
all they have to do is release a pve mode with AI runners a la Tarkov and AI PMC, and all is forgiven. it really is that shrimple. they would print money like hot cakes satisfying casuals like that and secure their futureif they die, they die knowing the lifeboat was there since day one and they just ignored it
>>738693190>they would print money like hot cakes satisfying casuals like that and secure their futurewould it really thoughI think everybody has already made their decision on whether they want to play or not marathon as a game and a brand and bungie as a whole is already in the gutter
A single player mode would save Marathon.
>>738693395yes. Tarkov's financials skyrocketed after PvE, which people have begged for YEARS to the point of building an entire singleplayer tarkov mod prior. The Tarkov dev Nikita, notorious for being kind of an asshole, KNEELED AND YIELDED to big fat pve bucks anyway likely because finance chads and executives kept grilling himnow imagine this with consoles, a market not even Tarkov could tap. Marathon would sprint to victory at a PvE mode, it would be insaneplus a dedicated pve mode can go offline and they can just make it a passive moneh machine instead of live service from there. the money opportunity is so good it is sheer stupidity why this was not a day one feature>but muh extract shooter genrefuck off. Tarkov did it. The OG. newer extracr shooters have it baked in, like Gray Zone Warfare too. pve is the future because surprise surprise, casuals have jobs unlike unemloyed, unhappy sweaty losers, the worst gaming demographic
I played 10 hours of this shit before getting bored and dropping it. It's not hardcore, it's just a tedious, grindy MMO press-ganged into the shape of an FPS designed to enslave Skinner's rats who think they're hardcore gamers or something. Boring incremental talent tree upgrades, useless itemisation designed to keep you on the hedonic treadmill, collect 10 bear ass-style fetch quests, the whole nine yards. Apparently this is a problem with the whole genre which leads me to believe that the whole thing needs to die
>>738655063> Bungie wants to release a new UESC Marathon map mid-season 2.
So now that we know marathon jobbed to apex legends how is bungie gonna turn a new leaf with season 2?
>>738655063>be Marathon>cool extraction shooter>not even alive when Bungie swindle’d Sony>have everybody blame you for the generation debt your family has accumulated>including your older brother D2>even though he was the one who took out all the loansIt aint easy being the youngest, thats for sure…
>>cool extraction shooterRecycled extraction shooter* FTFY
>>738655063GOTY
>>738696096Ew
>>738659000It get fewer players than their other live service title, a project that is actually abandoned and has been for some time. They legitimately got more out of doing literally nothing on Destiny than their multimillion dollar flagship.
You know, my biggest complaint of all with Marathon isn't the matchmaking, the absurd grind for salvage, how stupid some of the priority contracts are designed, how much of a "getting stabbed in the dick over and over" gambling treadmill it is with stuff like how keys work and cryo and all that.No. My biggest complaint is the painful lack of variety there is with enemy types. It's literally just robots, slightly stronger robots, and big robot with shield or big robot that launches grenades. That's it. That's the only thing you will fight across all maps and all gameplay. Ticks are more of an environmental hazard than an actual enemy, they're like the AIDs plants. The only exception is the compiler I guess, but that doesn't really count seeing as how 99.99999% of players won't ever even see it. Has anyone ITT actually fought the compiler? I sure as hell haven't. Not even close.Shooting robots is fun sure, but why the fuck didn't they add some other types of guys to shoot at? Like anything at all. For how much time and money went into this game, you'd think they wouldve had time for at least some variety.Halo had grunts, jackals, brutes, elites, hunters, the flood, those flying thingies, probably a few I'm forgetting even.I never played Destiny 1 or 2 but I imagine it also had lots of variety and different types of enemies.Marathon? Just fucking robots forever. It gets repetitive.
>>738697214C'mon anon, you know they only had a quarter of a billion dollars and half a decade to make this game. Stop having unrealistic expectations.
Destiny 1 on launch had fallen hive vex and cabal each with their own subfactions on launchMarathon has...........ummmmm..........
>>738697498I heard an interesting comment in a video I saw about how Bungie could save itself by>sunsetting Marathon after season 2 (no refunds, lmao)>putting Destiny 2 in maintenance mode starting in 2027>remastering Destiny 1 and releasing it on PC on a timed schedule like Classic WoW where the expansions come out on fixed dates every 6mo>using the D1 remaster to give you a cash injection, getting back some good will, and letting you stabilize>main team starts working on D3, and announces it when the D1 remaster finishes releasing its last expansionI could see it working in theory, but I think Bungie is too heavy with incompetent people for it to work in reality.
>>738696096they wish she looked like thatzero ass, AND ass covered by gigantic clothesAND zero titsAND zero feminine silhouette
>>738655063Nice cope woody but im still not buying the George Droyd game
This is the CoD killer Sony invested in. No alternatives exist.
>>738655063I stopped reading at the second paragraph about loot. I'm just so sick of Battle Royale and extraction shooters this genre is so boring now
>>738655063You can play hellgate london for free BTW. /vm/ is playing it for the rest of the week.
>>738696096They really aim for most heidous character award
they're welcome to dream, but if numbers go much lower, I doubt Sony is going to keep paying for the server space
>>738698826It stabilizied idiot
Yeah, I come from Highguard general to tell you that this game's stabilized at an amazing 1k players online.
>>738655063This definitely does read like some dry shit an executive would say while denying their game is fucking tanking.
>>738696096
>>738693709Fucker, Tarkov did better with dedicated PVE because the game is infested with vodka nigger hackers and getting wiped for the third time in a row by some asshole outside of render distance shooting through walls makes me want to plant the claw end of a hammer into the eye socket of whatever flavor of paint huffing sub 90 iq incest baby Ivan that is on the other end.Nobody isbplaying Marathon because everybody played Destiny, and we a know how that turned out. There are no fans of Bungie left, there are no new untapped players out there that might be drawn to a casual Marathon, people reject Marathon because they rebuke Bungie as a company. Bungie is as unpopular right now, as they were popular at their height. And there isn't a single thibg they could do to escape that shadow. Bungie could beg on their hands and knees for their players to come back, pleading they've changed, with some flavor of "proof" and the average gamer wouldn't reject it, they'd be utrerly disinterested. The true antithesis of popularity isn't hatred, its to not exist at all, complete and total lack of care.Ans the worst part is, its better than what Bungie deserves. Fuck em all.
>>738698826servers barely cost anything they'll keep it running for years even if it stayed like thisit's development that will stop if playercount can't be recovered soon
>>738699215Stabilizing at a lower average every week, I guess.

>>738659976>>738693190PvE mode would keep players occupied for 2 weeks max. There's nothing to do if you take out PvP. It would just be running Outpost until you have gear to clear the Cryo vaults. They would have to add PvE exclusive content which would piss off PvP players,
>>738699656How many people are gonna come back for season 2
