The true ending not only introduces the Foretellers, but also reveals Luxu, shows MoM, has Sora and Riku in Quadratum, has Ephemer pop up out of nowhere, has Ventus suddenly with a stuffed bear voiced by Digimon's Kari, has everyone searching for Sora, has Marluxia and Larxene randomly talking about getting their memories back, and Re:Mind adds Yozora into the mix. Compared to something like 2 there is significantly more left here than you can handwave away.

They've only played 1, 2, and maybe BBS and 0.2 before 3. I know what you're talking about because I'm an autist posting here, but I personally don't care about any of them either. You have to remember that the vast majority of fans for a game series are not posting online on X or on fan websites, those are only like 1-2% of the fanbase.

You now have a bunch of furries standing around a box with Xigbar calling himself Luxu, a living stuffed animal that is now Ventus' friend for some reason, some random white-haired kid helping Sora, some hooded guy menacingly making a heart on the moon where Sora is now, Sora is now in modern Japan despite dying, and more. Even if you don't know anything about KHUX you have a bunch of nonsense thrown at you right at the end more than any other game before it.

They only cared about the disney interactions, Sora, Riku and Aqua (to a much lesser extent than Sora and Riku) and about seeing Xehanort get taken down. Now that the Xehanort story is over, I believe interest in KH is at an all time low, and what makes or breaks KH4 will be the disney properties they put in, not the interest in the OC characters. I might be wrong, but it's just the vibe I'm getting from the series right now. Like if they put in Marvel and Star Wars stuff, that will bring back infinitely more people who are "done" with the series after 3 over revealing who the MoM is or what Yozora's goals are. Nobody cares about that in comparison to the interest in having Sora interact with Darth Vader or Spider Man for example. And Disney IPs are not doing that well right now, which will directly impact KH4 as too.

Instead it keeps going and all the changes are getting rid of the lessons already learned and the things that attracted people to it in the first place.

I don't expect them to act like that isn't canon and contradict everything it mentioned, but I also don't think it makes sense for a PS4 game to repeatedly reference a mobile gacha.
