I like the game regardless of the story. Most dialogues you can skip through and there's only a handful of cinematic cut scenes.The difficulty balance is completely broken though because there seems to be no reasonable diminishing returns on powering up weapons with levels. If you start a couple of biomes prior to the latest one you eventually end up so overlevelled that even tankier enemies just die like popcorn. Often even when you ignore the nightmare strand challenge rooms.
