What do you want for the OoT remake /v/?
Unreal engine 5

>>738693032Bigger world. Don't add climbing and gliding.
Bigger world. add climbing and gliding
For it to not exist
>>738693032Stuff from the manga to be added
>>738693032A faithful remake with extra content that's a perfect extension of the original
>>738693032I want it to be open world with puzzles in the grottos and maybe being able to climb everything and craft some stuff might be cool too.
>>738693032Bring Ura Zelda back from the dead
>>738693032I want nintendo to make new games instead of remaking the same shit they've already remade 3+ fucking times
For it to be undeniably better gameplay to the original so boomer uncs seethe endlessly.
>>738693032Snowy Mountains, Sky Temple, swamps, beach, Gerudo City, and a hidden Sheikah city deep beneath the depths of the Shadow Temple.
>>738693032It needs to look exactly like the concept art for the original but rendered in 3d or im not playing it
>>738693032I want it to not be made because the game is perfectly fine as-is, and I hate feeling like I’m being manipulated into buying a remake I don’t want just to prove I’d be interested in buying a new Zelda game with proper dungeons in the future.
$100 price tag
>>738693032for you to shoot yourself in the head
>>738693032don't care, i'll let decompGODS give this game the love it deserves
>>738693032UE5, dull colors, intense fog, blurry visuals, stutters, the whole nine yards.
>>738693032Use the 64DD original content as a basis. I get the impression they only scrapped a lot of it because the 64DD failed and they needed to fit it onto a cartridge. What they described it as was very ambitious though. Look at the maps from the Gigaleak, they were absolutely huge and actually would lend well to a more large open world format if they wanted to do it that way. So yeah, why not make Zelda 64 as what it was originally envisioned to be? The N64 version is timeless, and has been perfected by the Ship of Harkinian decompilation and Nintendo will never top that. Why not make the OOT we never got due to the N64's problems, and potentially dethrone that version?>Expand the Haunted Wasteland, add some extra areas and a path leading to a Gerudo village>Expand on the Lost Woods, add an optional dungeon for child Link midway through the adult segments, example, the Golden Scale would be needed to dive deep underwater towards another area>Add a sewer complex under Hyrule Castle Town, when you get the Ocarina of Time, there's a small ditch you can climb out of to the right, the Ocarina could float in the ducts and you'd have to find it>Climb up further in the Gerudo Valley and discover a second training ground, one that utilizes all your weapons and items>Find an alternate path to Death Mountain Crater that leads even deeper down underground>The passage from the Graveyard to the Windmill, with other paths leading to other rooms or even the bottom of the well itself >All towns and villages, this goes without saying>All the grottoes with one chest and gossip stone talking about Ganondorf's horse are overhauled completely. Keep one as is but change the rest>Hyrule Field as Adult Link should have randomized enemies, mainly Lizalfos, Moblins and Stalfos with a few others, like Dinofols near the valley area>Hyrule Field should be a vast, lush landscape to escape in
>>738695196lol this, it would be dumb to remake it the same as the original
>>738696916too authentic to the original, do not want
new content. I already played OOT.Give me a string of novel difficulty modes, and at least four new dungeons. Maybe even Four Swords style multiplayer.
>>738695196Why would I seethe about one of the best game of All time being even better?Nintendo is not Capcom and respect their previous work.
>>738693032just play modded bro
>>738697593I want a souped up Master Quest mode, that places new enemies in new arrangements, actually presenting some complex combat scenarios to puzzle out.
>>738697485Nigga don't copy my post.
>>738693032Romance. Let us choose a girl to romance.
>>738697854I don't fucking see a goddamn copyright or trademark on it. Sob about it.
>>738693032Massive open world, hundreds of gold skulltulas, shrine equivalents, probably inside the grottos
>>738697925Imagine having to steal your thoughts from anonymous posts.
>>738693032Sex with Loli Ruto and Loli Princess ZeldaI hope the models are extracted from the remake ASAP
>>738697925Kiss my ass.I'm glad you liked my ideas enough to copypaste them though. I don't know how they'll pull it off without messing up the flow of the game. Another anon suggested a dark world, but again how do they do that without it being redundant?
>>738698152>Kiss my assLmao I'll pass on that. That said, the dark world idea is one I'm not even sure would really work with how OoT is built, truth be told. That anon does have an intriguing idea, but it probably wouldn't work.
Adult Malon giant boobs
>>738693032I just want a new game that makes proper use of time travel mechanics. Alter history to change the present which is a fantasy post-apocalypse. It's weird that Zelda flirted with this idea in Wind Waker but it never fully committed. So what if it will get compared to Elden Ring/Dark Souls/DQ VII or whatever.
>>738698240Maybe a post-game campaign? I really don't believe Nintendo would remake OoT and not add or expand on it. Part of me sort of wants a FFVIIR to take place, but not in three parts. It's definitely gonna use the BotW engine, that's for sure.
>>738698513Just two "parts" but legitimately two distinct games that tie together. Same Link, split timeline, that's the pipe dream.
>>738693032I hope they redo the whole game. New dungeon layouts, new world layout, just keep the story/characters. the Star Fox remake makes me think they'll keel it exactly the same though just with better graphics, so I'd settle or more story content and side quests.
>>738693147>>738693191Smaller world. Remove climbing. Add gliding.
>>738699320The problem is that the story is the weakest part of OoT, the gameplay/design is the best.
>>738699827Neither is true
>>738699827it was only good by late 90s standards
>>738693032>be American millennial>live in cozy upper-middle class area>soccer mom buys you a Nintendo 64 because The 700 Club told her that PlayStation games have blood>parents can also afford you to buy the entire Rareware library>since you are rich and American, your family are also early adopters of the internet>lo and behold, everyone else online is also a rich American from a Nintendo 64 household>Ocarina group masturbation session ensues>The internet universally agrees that ReDeads are the scariest things ever invented because none of you ever played Silent Hill>Internet gaming culture is built upon the idea that everyone owned a Nintendo 64 and everyone agrees Ocarina of Time is unambiguously the best game ever made>Fast forward 20 years>Euros, Aussies, and working class Americans are now online>You find out that the Nintendo 64 absolutely fucking bombed outside of middle America and nobody gives a fuck about Ocarina of Time>Even in the US the N64 was massively outsold by the PS1, let alone abroad>Persecution complex ensues>"This can't be........did.....did I shit my pants over Wind Waker's graphics for nothing?">Start calling Ocarina underrated due to the fact that people who've played more than 1 fucking game don't think it's the best
>>738698513But what would you have as post-game campaign?
>>738701325>parents get divorced>they try to convince anon it isnt his fault and get him an N64>theres only a handful of decent games>anon's friends come over for his birthday party and have a great time playing goldeneye and mario kart>core memory archived>later anon goes to friend's house and is blown away by how many fun games they have>start to feel defensive about mommy and daddy's present>its always there for him when mommy and daddy are fighting>and remember that awesome birthday party?>time moves on and nintendo has the gamecube>its all mom can afford on a single income, since its soo cheap>friends dont come to anon's house because it isnt as fun>anon goes over to friend's house and plays ps2 and xbox>the disparity of how far games have progressed is even greater>"hey guys, why dont we play some goldeneye?">"why would we play that crusty shit when we have halo right here?">anon is still stuck with shit at home>anon suffers from deep depression>anon's mom wonders where it all went wrong. didnt she give her son the best?>much like his parent's marriage, reality and reason divorce in anon's mind>"n64, you were always there for me. remember that birthday party? nothing will ever top that." he says to himself in his 30s as he white knights for his console waifu on a mongolian basket weaving forum. >surely the n64 with reciprocate his feelings one of these days
>>738701332Zelda rebuilding castle town and trying to figure out how the fuck she's going to plug up the molten crater where ganon's castle was
>>738701332NTA, but I would have Gerudo Training Grounds be post game content, I would do more with it too of course. Probably involve it in a "trading sidequest" where you onboard a Hylian, a Zora, a Kokiri, and a Goron to contribute to it and have it expand into a new version. Just a final trot across the game world, and a big dungeon to finish on.
>>738693985>maybe being able to climb everythingHow the fuck are you suggesting this as a 'maybe'? It's flatly incompatible with the game's fundamental design and would turn it into something completely different.
>>738701474Lol that sounds like a neat and wild idea>>738701646Legitimately this would be cool.
>>738693032to never happen
>>738695196>For it to be undeniably better gameplay to the originalI like how you act like you're saying something controversial, like the game couldn't easily be improved or what fans wouldn't be interested in this, because you have the silly idea that people think it's 'perfect' and unimprovable simply because people (rightly) consider it to be the best and would naturally be concerned about properly preserving the things that made it great.
>>738701853That's not true, you're free to load up Ship of Harkinian and toggle on climb everything. The progression is the exact same with it on, believe it or not.
>>738701989>silly ideawhy are you people so detached from reality, there's literally always a dumb fuck who says "it doesnt need a remake" and "I want it the remake to be the same game"
>>738701332Off the top of my head: Termina, and the mask transformation gimmick. Something like that could be either a part 2 to OoTR or even an expansion. But that would sort of downplay Majora, so I say go with a dark world that serves as a tougher version of the base game, with the same amount of dungeons but harder. You can even travel in time in that world too, effectively making it four maps to work with.
>>738702104>Terminaas kick ass as that would be, it's kind of just too much and clashes with Oot
>>738699827>The problem is that the story is the weakest part of OoTWhat you mean is that the story is told in a minimalist way. They way it's done though is great and the game gets a ton of leverage out of what cutscenes and story presentation it does have. If you really wanted to meaningfully enhance the narrative experience, you'd do it by adding more ways to discover things about the world and characters, ala Majora's Mask, and not by dumping tons more cutscenes and plot twists on you.
Improved combat and movement is the only thing it really needs, maybe more content but that would be pushing it for Nintendo
>>738693032I think it would be cool to reimagine Kokiri Forest as or with a swamp. That place always struck me as swampy, but they either didn't bother to put in the effort to portray it, or the hardware wasn't there yet or something. Oot was developed for a long time, plans to do a 64DD release, and was delayed a year because Banjo Kazooie was just so damn good, they wanted to up the quality. It's kind of surreal it gets the praise it does, that it was as good as it was, ect.
>>738702104>Four mapsThat's a lot of maps, could the Switch 2 even handle it?
>>738702170They could definitely enhance the game with better and more cutscenes though. Off the top of my head, just consider for a moment that Gorons aren't going to look identical and will have names, quirks and personality.
>>738702287>It's kind of surreal it gets the praise it does, that it was as good as it was, ect. That's the thing. It really was that good, and completely in spite of the fact that it still could have been significantly better than it even actually was given all of its unrealized potential.Look at what you're even saying. Would you really care as much if some other game announced that it was to be remade, and had a swamp section added to it. Clearly you wouldn't for the most part, but OoT provides a context in which this kind of thing would feel exceptionally significant.
>fill out Hyrule Field and the areas on the border of the map>add Ura Zelda stuff>keep Master Quest and 3D's boss rush>expand the fishing minigame>give NPCs more stuff to say and have locations change as you advance through the game like Zora's Domain eventually unfreezing
>>738697485>>738702519I like how there's such general agreement about what would naturally be added to the game to create an expanded, fully realized version of it. The game clearly feels like it has room for this stuff to be there.
>>738702496>Would you really care as much if some other game announced that it was to be remade, and had a swamp section added to it.Yeah? if I wouldnt care about the other game, why would I care about Ocarina of Time doing the same.
>>738693032If it's monolith doing it I wanna see some of the cut content like they did for Xenoblade
>>738702337I'll keep on saying that the next Zelda game can handle TotK's map and a new map due to the Switch 2's cards being capable of storing more. This OoT remake could be a teaser of what's coming.
Planet
>>738702659I dont know how water physics and placeable portals between two overworlds could possibly come into play in the Ocarina of Time remake though?
>>738702104>>738702659The cool thing is that they've had more than enough time to rebuild the game already and putting new things in it isn't exceptionally hard to do (based off the decomp). The Switch 2 is easily powerful enough to handle anything you'd want to do with an OoT remake with pretty much any feature you'd want.
>>738702740>water physicsNew dungeons with new problems and puzzles> placeable portalsThe game already had Farore's Wind and other methods of warping which could do with more use.
>>738702740Think more traditional Zelda elements mixed with BotW's formula, an actual middle ground.>Water Physics The fight with Morpha could be a lot different. Even traveling underwater could be different. Placeable portals could replace playing warp songs, once you get the respective medallion.
>>738702623There's a lot of potential just based off interviews with Shiggy and the other devs. So many possible scrapped dungeons, enemies, magic, etc.Even the latter games didn't use all their ideas.
>>738702953I wonder if this will kick off them remaking each game (except Majora's Mask)
>>738693032I want it to be a WW remake instead.
It would be cool if they added in the muslim music and symbols again
>>738693032I don't want it to ever happen, period.
>>738693131fire temple was funny, now the videos are just annoying
>>738693032Cancellation.
>>738693032Add the stuff that was originally planned for the beta. Redo everything else as well. Also NieR type ending with every playthrough loop changing things a bit to reach the true ending.True end is horse cock loli Zelda fucking you in the ass while Navi watches btw.
>>738693032leave it unchanged so oot "fans" can play it for the first time and be completely underwhelmed like i was
>>738709947>so oot "fans" can play it for the first timeyou can't say this about every single game you underage newfag
>>738693032Its about climate change so every dungeon is a water temple
