the problem with most gym bosses isnt that youre unprepared, its that your moves do nearly fuck all damage against them hile they get moves that do at minimum 40% of your life bar. You can fight misty and hit it with thundershock or whatever electric move you want, its maybe taking of 15% of starmies lifebar. You fight whitney with anything and your best attack, even fighting type, will do maybe 30%

Never got the Miltank filter, I just had Geodude throw magnitudes at it while taking basically no damage because it walls all its attacks. You can also put it to sleep with a Gastly to stop rollout before it gets to powerful.
