Why does Nintendo hate it's fans? They used to do neat little things like this for Nintendo Club members. It'd be perfect if they made something similar for Switch games. Something that looks exactly like a Switch case but holds like 24 cards or something.
Who fucking cares?>another /v/ thread not about video gamesFucking kill yourself.
>>738700603It's just plastic. You can make something similar yourself with a 3d printer.
Close enough
>>738701653Nobody had 3D printers when they first did this for the DS, and nobody really had them during the 3DS era either. It was a valid offering at the time. Now, yeah, I have a little 3D printed pokedex that's actually a storage for Switch cartridges so I don't need Nintendo to sell me one for rewards points. But something either useful, or aesthetically pleasing for collectors, would be nice. Instead we get keychains and ikea-style tarp shopping bags.
>>738700603Jeaus fucking christ you niggers complain about everything
Let's be serious for a second: the majority of the Club Nintendo shit was crappy plastic cases and keychains. The "best" rewards were the digital games and for the amount of coins you had to redeem either legitimately or by stealing codes you were better off just pirating on the same console/handheld.
>>738701653If I had one sure. >>738701968Yeah, I'll have to grab one off ebay. >>738702118Yes.
>>738702173lol I remember buying codes from my friends at school for $5 each.
>>738702173>the majority of the Club Nintendo shit was crappy plastic casesThe cases were great and mine still hold up years later. I just think this is a product Nintendo could afford to offer.
>>738700603Literally still have rewardshttps://www.nintendo.com/us/store/exclusives/rewards/
>>738702176>Yeah, I'll have to grab one off ebay.Don't bother. You can get magnetic closing cases with different designs on them that hold 24 or even 32 cards for like $2 on AliExpress or even dropshipped on Amazon for like $8. The official stuff is not worth it in any way.
Having your worst (sales) console right after your best (sales) one does something to the corporate brain that nintendo will never recover from. They started min-max'ing profit to make sure the line never goes down again
>>738702173I worked at a video rental store, i got so many fucking codes from the wii games.
>>738700603I still have a calendar from Club Nintendo but it isn't worth anything D: Annnd something else that I can't remember maybe
>>738702534>5 whole dollars each>back when they had codesYou got ripped off dude, that's like paying $10 today
>>738702664I got the gay stylus one
>>738700603the switch isn't a truly portable console. realistically, you're going to use it at home 99% of the time.
>>738700603They do, they're just 3rd party and you buy them.
>>738702668You have to pay shipping now.
Damn I should check MyNintendo more often, I just ordered these two posters. Yes, I really liked Prime 4. Gonna go nicely alongside my Dread holographic posters, and the special edition cards (all framed and mint)
>>738704727I got like 6 different things the last time I ordered a game from Nintendo, if you buy a game it qualifies you for free shipping if it's over $50, so I spent all my points. The swag they sent was higher quality than I was expecting, i really thought it would be cheap bullshit, it's mostly nice stuff though from the my nintendo physical rewards. I imagine that poster is probably awesome.
>>738703721I used to snap pics of the codes in display cases at my local Gamestop. I racked up enough for DK Country Returns and New Leaf.
I got the NES Metroid metal standee. I'm hoping they do Super Mario World.
>>738702173I still have the game case. Although in my stupidity when I first got it, I decided to chuck a bunch of the original game cases to save space, and now a lot of those games are worth a decent amount of money.
>>738700603I have a steelbook from the Oddworld Soulstorm preorder. It holds 24 games iirc. Totally gonna grab a second off ebay.
