>>738706235Do I have to if I played Bleak Faith Forsaken?I think the premise is a bit similar but not sure. The titles are pretty similar
I bought and played it.It's okay. Story is interesting but the monsters are bland so it loses a lot of flavor. Combat has decent animations and feels solid, but it's ultimately very simplistic and very boring.Puzzles are almost non-existent. It was more or less just, "remember this place, take this item back there and do X" and what little puzzles there were, were very, very simplistic and easy.
>>738706235>QuebecI'll pirate it thanks.
>>738706235>HUE IS USBack to Brazil.
>>738707161never thought of it like this but bleak faith is clearly superior, too bad no puzzles
>>738707258>Puzzles are almost non-existent. It was more or less just, "remember this place, take this item back there and do X" and what little puzzles there were, were very, very simplistic and easy. This was exactly why I gave up on the game. Prerelease hype made me think itd be interactive adventure puzzles, or at the very least have elaborate resident evil lite style dungeons. But nah, it really is just "bring back item" and some symbol matching. People dont understand how and why Resident Evil was able to get away with such a simple "Bring Item A to Door A" "puzzle" structure. The simple answer is: Level Design is a puzzlebox.
>>738706235hows the exploration? thats the only thing i care about in these games and everything that isnt made by from software usually sucks ass in that regard.
>>738710042Most of the maps are pretty good. The biggest is the first main area you go to after the tutorial area and then everything after that is smaller. The main thing about the game is that it wants you constantly backtracking with key items to solve puzzles, but a good chunk of the puzzles are permanently missable due to NPCs moving as soon as you leave or dying so you have to guide game, and a few of the puzzles are just confusing at times. I remember thinking I understood the torch puzzle in the major area and my understanding of the puzzle was completely turned around.
Dropped it after doing the first time bubble. Did the first area as much as I could but it was clear I was going to have to backtrack for (probably) shit rewards. No bossfights or any interesting enemies at all which is kind of weird since noone is going to buy this game for the puzzles or looking at the pretty enviroments. They had a solid base but forgot to build anything
>>738711353>(probably) shit rewardsMixed bag really. Depends what playstyle you enjoy since if you're Terror or Grief then lol lmao at you ever getting a good upgrade from any rewards since it takes forever for you to get the tier 3s and they're very underwhelming even when you do. The best rewards are for Anger and Ecstasy and come fairly easily in addition to you regularly getting solid passive equips from closing the Timeloops or solving the puzzles. Rarely will you get a new hat.>No bossfights or any interesting enemies at allThe game only had three boss fights. Two getting the Ecstasy and I think Terror Keystones, then the final area has these boss-esque enemies in them. It was mainly around surviving the normal enemies, looking at all the pretty visuals, and roaming around areas solving puzzles so if you don't enjoy that you won't ever like it as that's a prerequisite to do so.
PALKEKS GET THE FUCK OUTTHIS IS A SABGODS BOARD
>>738712000Was the religion even real in the end? Because it seemed like it was, just not how either of them interpreted it.

This game was on my list until I saw a speedrun. It's just like a souls game except there's no bosses. Just the occasional miniboss that you must kill to make progress. You can run past everything else. The military stuff mixed with ghosts was underutilized in a similar fashion to how the setting of The Surge was undermined by the souls-like gameplay. The setting desperately wants to be an immersive sim, Stalker style FPS, or open world milshooter ala Ghost Recon Wildlands. Basically anything besides what it is. Instead, you're stuck fighting ghosts with an axe when it would be so much cooler to fight them with armored vehicles and guns.
